Hot As Pho

Some pretty good food! We came around lunchtime on a Saturday and there were a few groups inside but not too many. We were seated quickly and given the menus and water promptly. We got the bun bo hue and spring rolls. The soup was nice and flavorful, and not oily while the rice noodles had the perfect texture and bite. It was super comforting on a chilly day outside. The spring rolls were also great -- well fried and a flavorful filling. Gets the job done if you need a nice noodle soup!

We were in the Downtown Seattle area and saw the name of this restaurant and decided to stop by this place for lunch. We were seated once we stepped inside. The dining area was decorated with Vietnamese decorations and even had a tv playing Vietnamese music videos. I ordered their Pho with meat, tripe and tendon. The food came pretty quickly. Right about the same time as when I came back from washing my hands. The broth was light and the meat was soft and tender. The pho did have some decent pieces of tripe and tendon.The staff was friendly and looked like it was family owned. I would come back here if I'm ever back in the Seattle area.

We had lunch here and ordered the large pho tai chin nam (#12) and the banh mi ga nuong which is a grilled chicken sandwich. We liked the food, especially the pho. The prices are good for the area and considering the recent inflation hikes everywhere, the portions are not super big though. Service was fast.The only thing to be aware is that you're asked to pay shortly after you order your food and there is a credit card charge if you choose to use one.

Staff were kind and efficient. Food is not rave-worthy. Once seated, you're given menus to look at, then you're prompted to order and pay at your table before food arrives. Little unusually but otherwise fine! My friend ordered the regular Pho Tai (eye-round steak) and I order the regular Pho Dac Biet (combo of steak, brisket, flank, tendon & tripe). We both agreed the broth was too sweet and lacked depth in flavor. The portion for a regular was on the smaller side compared to other pho spots I've been. Side not, the water had a weird taste to it...I would not come again unless in the area and it was my only option.

Pay then eat. Good pho, service is quick. No complaints.Really nice after a long night.

Back again to my favorite place! As always the service is perfect and the staff are friendly. Nothing like a hot bowl of pho on a rainy Seattle day or any day for that matter. It's the best around in my opinion and I love coming here. It's near the market on 2nd and if you are visiting or a local, it's a great place to stop in to for a bite to eat!

I was flying in from Mexico and extremely homesick for Asian food, this place hit the spot! Quick service, average prices. Recommend for small groups or working people who need a quick lunch and arrive on foot.

I really, really liked Hot As Pho. The set up is a bit different as you have to call their number posted in the door in order to let you in. I think it's a preventative measure so no unsavory characters try to come in and then they can't get them to leave. If you do call they answer the door right away.I came here super hungry and got a good Vermicelli Bowl with Pork but was still hungry so I got a Pork Banh Mi Sandwich and it was fantastic! It literally melted in my mouth and was so very flavorful. Between the bowl and the sandwich two different transactions were done as you pretty much have to pay after placing an order and I wasn't sure if I was going to eat more so that is arranged a bit differently too.When I ordered my sandwich I also got their dessert too which was very good as well. Really good sticky rice and banana. Despite some things being atypical here the food is really good and service is very efficient!

Quick and delicious. Don't let the outdated decor scare you away; this place has great food, especially the pho and spring rolls!

If you are in Seattle, you MUST make a stop here. The food is SO GOOD and the service was fast and efficient. The staff was very friendly and helpful when choosing boba tea flavors. The restaurant itself was clean and pretty spacious for the space they have. My group had a very relaxing dinner here and we were so happy! This was by far the best pho I had ever eaten (and I eat a lot of pho). I had the chicken pho and it was wonderful! So flavorful and warm. Filled me up for the rest of the night! The boba was flavorful and they had many different flavor options. Support this small business, they deserve it!!
