Love their beer fridge section. A ton of unique styles, so much to choose from. Price on each can, so helpful. Could stare at the fridges for hours. It's like a toy store for beer lovers. The signage in front of the cool metal hop is pretty badass too. Friendly service!

Good selection of beer, more than the other stores near by. The beer cave has a great selection too. Some of their single can beers have been sitting a long time. I see ipas from 8 months ago, that are surely past their prime. It seems expensive compared to other craft single beer shops but it is great for the area.

Beware of this shady ass place. Passing through San Diego I stopped here for a gift... I DIDNT KNOW they sold me a broken bottle of Corralejo Anejo , " the red bottle" that had been broken and taped on the cracks in the glass with clear tape. Half the bottle is empty. And it's glued in another crack in the glass. They actually took the time to glue and tape this thing so you do not notice it at the counter. I got back to OC and when I was going to wrap it up as the gift, I saw it was half full, after further inspection I noticed the cracks and the clear tape, the glue? What kind of business does that???? I will save this bottle for anybody that wants to see it. (Side note; they want me to drive all the way back for them to replace it, which I was willing to do) From OC to SD... I asked they compensate me with another bottle as well for this glued and taped half empty shotty deal. He said no. Lesson learned please check your bottles before you leave that place it may be glued and taped and half empty and charge you full price.

Hidden gem with a number of specialty beers and liquors! The selection is phenomenal but so are the wonderful employees. What a wonderful alternative to a big chain. I will definitely support this small business

Serendipity. My wife and I had guests from Merida Mexico. They travel and dine all over the world. We were taking them to a Lebanese restaurant here in San Diego (Aladdin) that lets you bring in beer and wine but they don't serve it.I went to Hoppy Wine and Spirits and spoke with Matthew Koro, the owner. He picked two bottles for us--a Daou Cabernet and a Serial Cabernet from Paso Robles. We had both with dinner. Our friends couldn't believe how good they were--and how well they went with the food. They couldn't stop talking about them. Thank you, Matthew!--great choice.

Nice selection of beers including many local breweries. There's a walk in cooler with 4 packs, 6 packs, and cases. Matthew is a good guy, friendly and helpful. Made a bunch of recommendations and even carried the full box of beers to my car!
