This place has not changed since I've been coming here when they first opened up at this location. The quality of the food remains impressively high, the service has always been welcoming and the atmosphere is still very comfortable! Going to keep coming back for as long as possible!

I have been to this Hooleys many many times in the past because I enjoy their food. Also, they are next to a movie theater, which is very convenient. However, today, and approximately two weeks ago, I had two very unsatisfactory Margaritas. Never in my life have I ever sent a drink back except for these two times. They were bitter and very strong. They tried to remake them, but they were still unsatisfactory. If you want a good margarita, you would probably be better off to go to a Mexican restaurant. My favorite is Hacienda in El Cajon.

We went to Hooleys for a few drinks and listen to some music in a relaxing atmosphere. The place was a replica of the other one with a very faux authentic feel which is appreciated in an Irish pub. We ordered light fare such as the sampler and a bowl of the Guinness onion soup. I recommend the soup and the potato skins/wings were large and generous with good flavors. The Long Island iced tea was a hit and miss depending on the bartender. Guinness is Guinness so I was pleased. The only negative was the service, we wound up getting our drinks from the bar after watching them for many minutes without wait staff coming to serve them. She also didn't notice her error of disappearing for so long. She will learn hopefully. Overall, a very good experience with quality music.

Used to come here back in the days for zucchini tacos!!! Decided to drop by since we were in the area and try out other options on the menu. What happened??? We ordered the following CALAMARI STRIPSServed with lemon, cocktail sauce & sweet chili dipping saucePRIME RIB DIPFrench roll & Swiss cheese, served au jus and creamy horseradish on the side. Side of tater totsGRILLED SALMONServed with long grain wild rice & sautéed spinach.Everything was ok. I don't know but I had a higher expectation from past experiences. The calamari strips were good. The sandwich was delicious. The salmon was a bit dry and the spinach was overly salted. They brought another one but it was still a bit salty.

The service was great. The ambiance was typical for an Irish pub-kinda dark inside. The food was just okay. Lacking in salt in every dish that we ordered. It's possible that the bar scene may be better than the restaurant part.

I've been coming here for years, and I've never been disappointed. The place is always clean and the staff is very friendly. Their food has been the same quality for all these years, and that's definitely something rare to find. Me and my husband's go to orders are the fish and chips and the blacked chicken mac and cheese, and they're always delicious, and it's definitely our comfort food.

Super friendly servers. Great food and interesting atmosphere. In addition to the tacos I also tried the corned beef quesedilla and the half beef and half corned beef burger. Highly recommend those!!!

Hooleys reminded me of many similar places in many different cities and, well, it was always right here, right in the town. It has the same touch, same ambience, same style, however you wanna call it to be an Irish restaurant/pub. Menu has got all the favorites one can think of. I'd love live music if they play here. I've heard they do. It's right next to the theater and you've got all the parking lot to yourself.

Stopped by for Taco Tuesday and was very surprised at the prices. We have eaten here many times in the past. Tacos range from $3.50 to $5.00. I am aware of inflationary pressure and minimum wage increases for employees. We chose to split a fish and chips at $21.95. The portions of fish/chips were substantial but both were overcooked/too crispy. Our water was brought in plastic cups rather than glasses. We were told they were busy and no glasses available. Restaurant and bar were about 70% full. We had to ask for silverware after food arrived. Our main observation was that the entire restaurant is in need of a thorough cleaning. Understandably this is an Irish pub and meant to look authentic. However, our table was sticky, even the menus and coasters would not slide. The floor needed a good mopping and the walls and woodwork were dingy. This is a very popular east country restaurant and hopefully the management will take note of its current condition. Authentic pub should not be dirty. We have really enjoyed Hooleys over the years and have had numerous good times with friends. Would like to return when conditions have drastically improved.

The food was cold, bug in my beer, and we had to hunt down the waitress. I ordered a steak and there was more fat than meat.
