Like to give the new restaurant a try. I ordered the Halibut, water said it was the only fresh fish on the menu.I asked for no vegetables and just potatoes. It was served with vegetables and no potatoes. Waiter corrected it. The portion of halibut was tiny, maybe 4 ounces. $40 for halibut and only a few bites. The rib eye was the best the new york steak was okay. The peppercorn sauce was great on the NY steak, as was the cilantro sauce for the rib eye. It took a long time to get drinks. Appetizer came quick, food took a long time as well as the desert. I understand if the restaurant was crowded but only a few tables had people. The view is great, the ambiance is still an older restaurant.3 people $300, a bit much for what you get.I will not likely go back.

I miss Arnies charcuterie board but the new place is promising. Everyone was warm and friendly and welcoming. Seated the Thomas's section and he is fabulous. Couldn't have asked for better and friendlier service. Our salads were great (although I'd have preferred tomatoes to grapes on the wedge). I had the salmon and requested it minus the glaze which they were happy to do. It was fantastic. My date had the prime rib and for once he couldn't finish his meal. It was so good but healthy portions. We capped the meal with chocolate crème brûlée which was delicious. Can't wait to come back in the summer and the sunset will be better.

Hook & Cleaver has some highlights and some low points. The Highlights: The staff is great. Our server was very attentive, had good tableside manners, but not too much time. Situated on the hill above the waterfront, the views are amazing (even though it was dark and raining). The food was enjoyable, nice fresh fish. I love menus that feature everything on a single page, Hook & Cleaver knows what they are. The price was fair, about what you could expect from a waterfront restaurant. The low points: Even though its been open for 2 months, it feels old and dated. I know they tried to remodel, but it was cheaply and sloppily done. It is a holdover from the 80s. Yes, l I be back. The service and dinner was great. I hope they continue to invest into the facility. Yes, I recommend. Its a nice dinner with a fabulous view for a reasonable price.

We have gone for brunch on the weekend and dinner right after they opened. Likely wouldn't have given 4-star however they are working in finding their rhythm and make sure they do everything necessary to insure you enjoy your meal. Or we just got the best waiter. The dining room up stairs is comfortable with tables and booths looking over the water downstairs in the bar there again tables and bar top. Both locations are great DrinksTheir drinks taste great they are rather on the small poor side for the price thoughBloody Mary's are great, mixed drinks are greatFoodThey cook steaks with a different version which is nice to try. But their winning game seems to be the seafood. I ordered tuna for dinner, it was the best cooked tuna I have ever had along. The pairings were slightly cold but overall good.BrunchRecommend staying with the simple things. Fiancé Ruben was greatly appreciated biscuit and gravy not so much Look forward to coming back for a nice seafood dinner or a simple lunch

Came here on opening day 11/7!Was very excited because Arnie's that was here before was my family's favorite restaurant and we'd go probably every other week and most special occasions. At 4pm I asked to make a reservation for 18 people for 8pm the same night and they somehow were able to do it! We all were so happy and thought it was fate! We were celebrating 4 people's birthdays LOL. As we had so many people on opening night, there was a long wait. Should be expected considering the circumstance. Our waiter, Pete, was AMAZING. He moved tables for us, took everyone's order, and it was great. With the big table it got pretty loud (not sure how they could've fixed that it was the room acoustics) but he was super patient. I probably had a bite of everything on the menu. Crab cakes were delicious, calamari was amazing, potato rolls were decent but the butter was too sweet for most people at the table. Bacon jam spread was pretty nom nom yum. Alaskan Halibut was devoured. Pasta nera might have been a bit too much for me (could be the squid ink smell). I think it would've been better if it was just a regular kind of noodle. GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS PERIOD. My cousin got the New York and she didn't really think it had enough flavor. She tried the dipping sauce but is super sensitive to spice and thought it was too spicy. Dessert time. Was all pretty great! The cobbler granola was pretty crunchy crunch crunch (hard). Not bad for the opening night!

Opening at 3pm I arrived just in time to be the first patron the view is amazing and the ambiance and atmosphere were a welcome respite, the service was definitely on point for a five star restaurant I would give it a 4.5 star rating but highly recommended. I had the Rib Eye and spoke with the sous chef who confessed a secret.. the meat was sous vide which changes the texture just slightly.. when I seen no grille marks I knew something was different about this experience and always welcomed "something different " .. it was a good experience

Great people, good drinks, selection of food is on par with what you'd expect in this type of location. Highly recommend simply for the seating arrangement/ambiance. Bring friends who are in town in mukilteo and sit in the bar Andre the bartender is who you need to see.

This place is our "cup of tea". Great service from the host to the waiter. We met the bartender and most of the employees in the restaurant. A very personal experience. They were very attentive and friendly . They treated us with respect even though we didn't plan on going somewhere this nice so we didn't look our best yet we were welcome. Food was outstanding from the Calamari to the strawberry shortcake. The neighborhood has great vibes, safe and beautiful views of the Ferry and lighthouse. The only wish for a place like this is they would have cappuccino offerings after the meal. We settled for coffee which was delightful anyway.

HH reviewFantastic views with solid service, food, and drink. Decent HH deals, too. Also, it's haunted by at least one ghost if not two.In longThis was everybody's special-occasion place in Mukilteo for decades, and got sold a couple years ago. Lots of old-school regulars worried, but the group that bought it runs good places with really dependable food and drink--not always cheap for what it is, but good HH deals are a constant throughout their places. They didn't completely rebuild the place, but they did an extensive reno that makes it feel up to date, if not quite brand new. It's a semi-funky hillside structure with wide spaces on the shallow side--there are 20+ tables in the bar, but they're all in a single row against the windows. Long and narrow, ya know? As a result, every table has a view. Nice view, too--some trains, some ferry traffic, and then Whidbey, saltwater, and across to the Kitsap Peninsula, too. Beautiful in any weather IMO. The bartender mentioned that on foggy days, the ferries look like they're floating in mid-air across a continuous grey mist.We timed our visit well to catch HH. Perfect timing. Most drinks and small plates are $2 off. The halibut croquettes are very well executed--fresh fish, tasty flaky crust, nice rich sauce showing a hint of lobster stock flavor. The cocktails all ended up being really good. The Endless River has a nice smoky side from the mezcal, and the Harbour Pointe is quiet delicious even if, like me, you can't imagine what it'll taste like after you read the description. We also checked out a Manhattan and a Corpse Reviver, and if it's not too busy, the tender will shoot the breeze about recipes and proportions and get to know your tastes a bit.He and the hostess chatted for a while about haunted places they've worked, which includes H&C. They've heard someone saying their name when they're alone in the room, and a couple other little things. Nothing too shocking or diabolical, but definitely chilling in a fun way if you love ghost stories. I dig this stuff, and I think we've found a regular HH stop.
