We ordered a regular saimin and a club sandwich. It's really pricey. Both came out to almost 25 dollars!The lady who was serving us was on top of things but just her expression alone said she didn't really want to be there which can be understandable but in this case really affects the atmosphere.

Hungry spot...Shopping is definitely cardio as I came to Waipio to the Hawaii Okinawa Center Craft Fair and parked right beside across ZIPPY'S the open lot dedicated for the craft fair overflow parking and decided to walk over and shop and did so on the return and decided to stop and ZIPPY'S.Very nice location with signs very easy to read and loved that Napoleon's Bakery was open and operating so that I didn't need to wait in the takeout line to make my purchase though I did that anyways lol! Not feeling anything fried since I got some Andagi as well it was the Spaghetti plate with meat sauce. The service is very nice and yes they asked for my Zipster number which is very nice as I always forget to do so and waited for my order at tables which was nice and clean and a easy spot to rest and recover after a long day.The vibe here is nice and calm as I sat and looked over my purchases and enjoyed my dinner it's a place you don't feel rushed which is nice and as I unwind reorganize my day.Thank you!

Put in an online order around 3:30 ish for a 5:00 pickup. What a mess! It was after 6:00 before our name showed up on the "ready for pick up" screen. There must've been over 35 people waiting and about 6 workers. Total chaos. There needs to be a better way to organize this craziness.

This location is the closest to the house. I come here to get my fix. It's definitely comfort food. They offer seasonal flavors with their popular favorites such as pumpkin Napples. You can probably find all the popular local food here. The service on restaurant side is okay and worse on the take-out side. The food is consistent. The restaurant could be cleaner, it's a little dusty and the bathroom is surprisingly gross.

Since I was planning to be in Waipio today, I checked beforehand what eating establishments might be open early. Zippy's came up as opening at 6:00 am, and I remembered I had wanted to someday try their Chili Moco, which I had only heard about. That someday would be today.I entered shortly after opening; the place was mostly empty of customers. I ordered the regular Chili Moco. The counter staff wasn't the friendliest, but then again, Zippy's has never impressed me that way. The wait was longer than I expected, but I factored in how busy the kitchen must be with call-in orders and with the person in front of me ordering several items.When my order was finally called, I sat at a table and lifted the lid of the nicely packed meal in anticipation. I wasn't disappointed. If you've had loco moco before but not a chili moco, just think of it as a loco moco with chili substituted for the usual brown gravy. In particular, there was rice underneath, a hamburger patty, chili poured over it, and two over-easy eggs (the way I like it) on top. The regular order had a scoop of mac salad added.For me, it takes a regular loco moco up a notch or two. I've been to various Zippys.This is the 1st time we've been at this location.So When we arrived it wasn't bz.So we were seated with no wait.This location was clean.So after being seated we ordered our drinks then soon after we placed our orders.My girlfriend ordered the Zip pack,My niece ordered the Club sandwich,Her husband ordered the small Chicken Katsu,My grand niece had the kids meal spaghetti n I ordered the Deluxe surf pack..We all enjoyed our meals!.The Fired chicken was juicy n flavorful,The Teri meat had a perfect sweetness and of course the chili just made come all together..We all left with happy stomachs..We always make it to eat at Zippy's at least once on our trip..Also the customer service was on point.The lady was nice n ,Attentive..I wish we had a Zippy's back home..

Shout out to the team that worked the Halloween night shift. It was around 830 pm we placed our phone order and when we got there it was totally packed. Long line but a majority was waiting for orders up. As the time passed by for the next 5-10 minutes the team that worked the front pick up area was on a roll, plates and drinks were being completed and called out. No one was fussing or frazzled. It was awesome watching each of them hustle plus the back of the house. It was pretty cool. Our order was called and had no problem with our order and we were ready to head home and enjoy the Las Vegas Plate, mini Korean chicken and mini spaghetti with garlic bread. Great job to you guys! Growing up on the North Shore, we've made countless trips through Waipio, the Zippy's has been a steadfast stop for my family and me for as long as I can remember and even still today. The place hasn't changed much in twenty years, I still remember being so excited when the aunty's gave me a nickel to get a prize from the machine BEFORE dinner...and it's still there today!The food at Zippy's is pretty consistent throughout all Zippy's. My favorites are the Korean fried chicken or chicken trio. Although, I do have to say that I used to love wuntun min but now I'm really skeptical ordering it from any Zippy's because I feel like, lately, they can't hit that right temperature. As far as the servers and service, no complaints. From the to-go side to the restaurant side, I have no complaints.The decor and building hasn't changed in my lifetime, and I wonder how I would feel if it does change? Updates are coming soon since the Mililani one is under construction and I can only guess what the new vibe is gonna look like; it's only a matter of time. Until that day comes, as long as this location is still here, I'm so grateful with the memories that come with it.

Be aware of charges! I swear this is the only Zippys that has these extra charges. I will note this and go to others.I am sharing this note for you because I repeatedly get charged random thing but never complain...this time I kept my receipt for evidence...so I bought 3 fundraising tickets, and picked up 3 plates. I called in 3 plates bc they don't do fundraising tickets ahead of time. Side note: Before I order the cashier tells me it's going to take 30-40mins if I order. I ASK HER...EVEN THE FUNDRAISING PRE-MADE FOOD? She says yes because there is orders in front of you... (at the end my fundraiser orders took all of 10 mins, the online order that was promised at 7:48...still waiting and it's 8:04 still not ready.)Do you buy cornbread? I do!Did they ever charge you to grill it? Never!Guess what....now they do!!!And I had the cashier check with the manager working tonight at 7:55pm, Waipio Zippys on 9-25-2024 (obviously they didn't want to give me a name)So, it's $1.55 plus tax! It's not much -- but it makes me wonder now...do they serve it not grilled now? I ALWAYS order corn bread and Portuguese bean soup and it has ALWAYS been grilled...so who knows...maybe it's served cold? Idk. But be aware!
