Zippy's is a Hawaiian classic, and we love it for its convenience and quick service! Whether for takeout or dining in, it's a reliable spot for satisfying comfort food. While it's not gourmet-level quality, it offers great value for the price.Our go-to is the chili chicken, which never disappoints. Recently, I tried the won ton min and zip min and both were solid choices! My husband is a fan of the Korean fried chicken, although during our last visit, it was a bit of a letdown--served room temperature and seemed like it had been sitting out.Overall, Zippy's delivers dependable comfort food at a reasonable price.

The restaurant didn't seem overly busy. However, our waitress was not very good. She forgot to bring crackers after requesting it, once when we ordered and once when she walked out and gave it to someone else.She never offered drink refills or checked how everyone was doing. Just came to grab the first empty plate she could see to clear us out. That is, when she did stop by... most of us barely got through our meals before she asked for dessert orders... With these inflated prices and shrinking of food items, you'd think the service would at least still be adequate. It is not.

Went to pick up my dinner- specifically for the dessert. I've been wanting to try the blonde brownie which was delicious. Highly recommend it. I also wanted to try the Boston Cream Napple. So, we specifically did not finish our entree so we'd have room for dessert. I don't think the cream should be tangy. I wanted to inform them that they may want to take it off the shelf as it may have been sitting too long. I was on hold for a bit, then finally got to speak to someone I asked to speak to the manager; they wanted to know "why?" Upon explaining the situation, I was placed on hold again. After more than 10 minutes, I hung up. I think that was much too long when someone is reporting potentially spoiled food. I was going to just inform the manager, but as I didn't have a chance to speak to them, I needed to comment here. After all of that, we didn't finish our entree and unfortunately that taste is still on my tongue.

We ordered the zippy saimin soup and the zippy combo and both were AMAZING!! I absolutely loved all of the food! What was unfortunate was the amount of flies in the restaurant. We had to keep swatting the flies away from our food the entire meal. I would recommend taking your food to go, or just eating in at a different Zippy's location.

Zippy's Kapolei located in the same lot as Hawaii State Credit Bank and across from 7/11. Take out or Dine in plus a bakery. Lots of local favorites on the menu featuring their famous Zippy's Chili. Staff and management are always welcoming and friendly. Recently remodeled the take out counter to include pick up lockers for online and phone orders. Very clean dining rooms. Daily specials feature new and old favorites. Our Go To Restaurant for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Happy National Chili Day!I'm more of a no bean kinda gal which makes it like a bougie bolognese lol but celebrating this day Zippy's offers specials on their famous chili and we're the lucky ones to nab this deal. It's $4.50 for a 10oz bag of original or no bean that comes cold/frozen only which I did online for an efficient and easy pickup and will notify you if it's ready earlier than time promised. What I also noticed is that they also have regular chili with rice for $5.95 and what a dinner deal!This Kapolei location is really nice and clean I love the vibe here with lots of free parking, there was no line so I was greeted instantly and got my order was in and out really fast.side note...I later realized that my order was wrong, double check always as I didn't.Thank you!

This is a locals' restaurant in Hawaii and I wanted to show my family what Hawaii had to offer outside of the resorts and Waikiki.Food:The servings are generous and you might have to do takeout for leftovers. In our case, we ordered 3 meals for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) and it was plenty of food. Our meals were served fresh and warm. I enjoyed their fried chicken and my wife liked the saimin. Our older daughter loves Spam and getting a mini meal for her was perfect, the service is normal, almost like going to Denny's or IHOP in the mainland. I highly recommend this Zippy's.

This is a "once and done" experience for us. We had always heard and read questionable reviews about this chain and the menu looked mostly unhealthy. We stayed clear untilMy wife got a gift card from someone at work so we decided to roll the dice. Unfortunately we were met with a dirty restaurant- floors looked they hadn't been mopped in a year, homeless in the restroom washing themselves with the sink and tables uncleared. Staff got order wrong, when fixed the Korean chicken plate and Mac n cheese both cold and dried out. Saimin tasteless. Glad we didn't pay for it and will never be back.
