Just arrived from the airport and we were hungry. Zippy's was first in mind. Was it Nimitz or Dillingham the last time we dinned? Threw the dice and set Dillingham on the GPS. To our surprise, Zippy's Dillingham's dining area non-ac, al fresca. Did we stopped by Dillingham before? Does it use to be air conditioned? I ask one of the employees and he said that the other side of the restaurant is closed for renovations. Regardless, we ordered are comfort Zippy's food: Katsu Curry wide a side of Saimin. All of our orders came in to-go containers. Does it used to be in proper plates and silverware? Maybe only in this location because of its smaller dining area. Food at Zippy's is good as always. Next time around, we will stop by Nimitz. I now do remember they have air conditioned dining area.

This is the one of the worst locations that I've been to. The food was still good. The food is pretty much standard across the board no matter what location you're at. It was the actual place itself that I didn't care for. This is one of their smaller locations. It doesn't have a restaurant, just the take out counter. We got the Garlic Miso Chicken Plate $15.95, Chicken Katsu Plate $13.95 and Kokua Pac (Spam, hot dog, Portuguese sausage, Korean fried chicken) $10.99.The food was on point, even though the chicken was a little burnt. The place just wasn't air conditioned. The doors were all opened. We sat by an open door to eat to get ventilation. The flies started coming around.I'm not sure if the A/C was broken or it's always like this.

I'm trying the Maui Pack...hungry. When I ordered it, they were very accommodating. Actually, I discovered the Maui Pack doesn't come with macaroni salad. And, I discovered a favorite item, bread pudding in the bakery. So I stepped back in line. The guy that calls out the food that ready called me to the counter. He took care of both my orders and very nice. I really thanked him because it saved me some time. Although it's a takeout Zippy's and area to sit, it's good enough. This Zippy's doesn't have the air conditioning dining section. But all and all, people were smiling and enjoying themselves.I didn't take a picture of Maui pack because I wolf it down! The picture is from Zippy's site.Spam: always great, different flavor meat w/ saltiness and great with rice. Hot dog: 1/2 piece...old school local dogPortuguese sausage: more spices, can stand alone with a scoop of rice.Korean chicken: crispy, sweet Korean sauceAll in all, it was wise not to have macaroni salad. Next Stop...riding the Skyline!For a limited time Zippy's was giving free limited edition HOLO Card with purchase of their Skyline Pac to celebrate the start of our city's Skyline though these were offered only at four location which Dillingham was one.Thinking I had the date wrong as there was no signage I asked if they had it and was told yes by the staff whew! I did arrive early to be sure and to avoid traffic which worked out perfectly. The Skyline Pac has half a piece of hotdog, four pieces of Portuguese sausage and Korean fried chicken all on a huge bed of rice all my favorites in one and it was so yummy!!Dillingham location is so convenient as it's accessible from many backroads even with the all the Skyline construction and with lots of parking not a problem to show them some love. Lots of seating and the open air vibe makes it a cool place to chill and enjoy. Thank you!

After my doctor's appointment, my wife and I decided to pick up the Zippys Holo Holo card special for our dinner. The special bento came with four pieces of Portuguese sausage, four pieces of Korean chicken, and half a hot dog, with rice. This special includes a Holo Holo card to be used on the Skyline (Honolulu Rail). Pass includes a one day unlimited ride loaded on the card. We did the order online to be picked up curbside. The curbsidePick-up was fast. Got our order in about two minutes after parking . Of all the Zippys locations that we have done curbside pickup, this was the best. Enjoy.
