Service was great. Our waitress Sky was very helpful. My husbands vegan and I'm pescatarian. House bread with olive pesto was delicious. Farmers salad was huge and could have been an appetizer for 4 people. Very fresh and The Kauai Shrimp Scampi over linguine was absolutely phenomenal. I will be dreaming of it tonight.

Aloha Meets Amore: Vegan Eats and Island Vibes!Zia's European Caffe in Kaneohe is where Italy and Hawaii come together in perfect harmony--like a ukulele serenade in Venice. Whether you're a vegan searching for delicious options or just someone who appreciates good food and great vibes, this spot is a bella scelta! The Vegan Options:Zia's may be an Italian café at heart, but they give vegans a pizza the action too! Their plant-based pasta dishes are molto bene, with rich marinara sauces and perfectly cooked noodles that make you forget all about cheese (well, almost). The salads are fresh and vibrant, topped with local greens that scream "aloha" in every bite. It's not just vegan-friendly--it's vegan-fabulous.Service:The staff here are as warm and welcoming as a Hawaiian sunset. They're quick to answer questions, offer suggestions, and even tweak dishes to accommodate dietary needs. You'll feel like you've been invited to a big Italian-Hawaiian family dinner, complete with laughter and aloha spirit.Ambiance:Picture a little trattoria that traded the Tuscan countryside for the lush Ko'olau Mountains. Zia's has a cozy, casual vibe with just enough elegance to make it feel special. Whether you're dining indoors or out on the lanai, the ambiance is perfetto--like sipping Chianti on the North Shore.Parking:Parking is available in a shared lot with a pet hospital, so it's easy to miss the turn into the lot if you're not aware of it. Once Apple Maps gets you to the right spot, parking is easy to find. Just slow down and don't let the locals passing you feel obligated to go 30 mph over the speed limit--and it's still easier than navigating a Vespa through Florence!Unique Features:What sets Zia's apart is how seamlessly it blends European cuisine with local ingredients and island charm. The menu feels like a culinary hula dance, with each dish swaying between classic Italian and tropical flair. Plus, their commitment to catering to different diets, including vegan, makes them stand out in a neighborhood filled with plate lunches and BBQ joints. The Competition:Well, there really isn't competition if you're the bees knees, right? I don't recall seeing other Italian spots in Kaneohe, so this one takes the top spot for being a unique feature in the neighborhood. Final Thoughts:Zia's European Caffe is a delightful blend of aloha and amore, with vegan dishes that are as thoughtful as they are delicious. Whether you're a lifelong herbivore or just looking for a change of pace, this spot will have you saying, "Grazie, and mahalo!"Would I come back? In the words of an Italian-Hawaiian mashup: "Si, braddah!"

We like their cauliflower pizza with the supreme toppings. Clam pasta is not bad and their salads are nice and big to share with 2-3 people. Good ambience.

Andiamo...Yes let's go to Zia's in Kaneohe and why haven't I been here sooner?! Y'all haven't been sharing this gem with me as it sits secretly on Kamehameha Hwy south bound so I zipped passed it without noticing it and had to make a U turn lol! Yes located on the busy busy Kamehameha Hwy is this lovely restaurant with just a few parking stalls all filled you know it must be good.Walking up to this adorable open air dining area with tables covered in checkered tablecloth though casual gives it that slight Italian country vibe. A staff greeted me immediately and I asked if I'm able to place a take out order though now wished I dined in as it felt so calm and relaxing to chill here.Really wanting pasta I do love the variety they have here including Kabocha Squash Ravioli, Pappardelle and even a couple of risotto. I really wanted something light though and under the "il Giardino" or The Garden is "roman Giardino Pasta" that's filled with veggies (mushrooms, onion, artichokes, olives, spinach, roasted peppers and tomatoes) are tossed in spaghetti and topped with goat cheese...oh my goodness it did not disappoint.Honestly not sure what sauce is used...probably olive oil and seasonings lol but it was exactly the type of pasta I've been searching for simple where I can taste the veggies and found it here at Zia's Italian Kitchen yes there seems to be a slight name change but don't zip by and miss this opportunity for some great Italian cuisine.Ciao and Thank you!

This place was so good! I have lived in the area for a while and regret not visiting sooner. Excellent and fast service, great menu options, very accommodating with modifications, cozy atmosphere, delicious and fresh food. They have a really great vegan and gluten free menu! Wish it was advertised more as I would have stopped by sooner.

I gave Zia's 4 stars based on their customer service and clams appetizer alone. Wow, our waitress was so awesome. Made us feel like a priority, never forgot our orders and never had to ask twice about anything. She had great suggestions and was very attentive. The wine we had (twin peaks?) was pricey but tasty. The clams appetizer special was the star of the show. Everything else was very mediocre. If not for our awesome waitress I would give this place 3 stars.

I just ordered the pizza Margherita and it was worse than a frozen one from a supermarket!! The dough was anything but pizza dough, the size was like a pancake, the mozzarella was fake because it can be removed from the dough, the tomato was San Marzano like an Alfredo sauce is Italian! Service was good and the ambient too, didn't try anything else but that was enough for me! Maybe you can sell that thing but just don't call it pizza please!

Mid. Plain Jane. We got the garlic bread, calamari, and pizza as appetizers, and they were all decent. However, the main entrees were a huge let down. Pastas were lacking sauce and flavor! Not to mention, the main courses took waaay longer to get out. We waited 45 minutes after our appetizers for the main dishes. Our server told us 3 separate times that "our food is coming soon". Meh, wouldn't recommend.
