Zablan is not one of the well known beaches where you will find a lot of tourists. This beach is great for a picnic with the family, a stroll on the sand, surfing, and has an awesome back drop for sunset/sunrise pictures. There is a public restroom and even a playground nearby. I didn't see many picnic benches, and parking is limited, but don't let that deter you from experiencing what this beach has to offer. One of the first things I noticed upon arrival was the strong current cautionary signs that were posted along the beach shore. There was also a lifeguard tower with 2 lifeguards who closely watched those who still chose to swim in the unfavorable water conditions experiencd that day. Zablan is also known to have high surf advisories as well, but that was not the case when I was there. The beach itself is nestled between limestone rock formations. I decided to take a stroll to the rock formations on the right to see what kind of interesting creatures called it their home. Although I did see some tiny fishes and crustaceans in pockets of ocean water, I wasn't expecting to see within the rocks cemented memorial plaques dedicated to a family member/loved one who has already passed on. I read the plaques as I came across them and paid my respects. A common theme I read on the plaques was how special this beach was to the deceased person. I felt very privileged that I was able to experience the same beauty Zablan imprinted on their hearts. As I walked back to where my family was, the sun was setting and provided many picturesque photo opportunities. I enjoyed watching the reflection of the sun shimmer across the ocean surface. We were even fortunate to see plumes of water from whales in the far distance! I left Zablan with many pictures, cherished memories, and an even deeper appreciation for living in Hawaii.

Always enjoy the day at Zublan- parking can be tough to find if you go late but we showed up around noon and found a spot on the street. Lots of parties going on as it's a great place to spend the whole day, with the whole family. Found a spot on the sand and the entire family got to swim and play in the sand. Showers and bathrooms available. Life guards on duty and actively watching the beach. Traffic can be tough, one road in and out so 1 car accident can add a lot of time to the commute. Definitely worth the visit!

Not sure why this beach is reported closed...but maybe it's better to keep the crowds out lol. It's the left hand side of Nanakuli Beach but has its own parking. I love this beach!! Awesome place to swim and the water is clear and nice. It's always sunny for the most part, and not rocky at all. It does have a shore-break so just watch the little ones. The weekends can get busy so go early to claim a spot. To the far left on the rocks you will find tunnels/mermaid caves, and a lot of cool little tide pools. If you do venture out here keep in mind the rocks are pretty sharp, maybe wear beach shoes or something if you're not used to it.Don't leave valuables in your car, bring out what you bring in - don't leave trash! Be respectful, and have fun! It's one of my favorite beaches on the island.

Beautiful beach in Nanakuli. Kind of hidden, but lots to offer. Ample parking, restrooms, beautiful white sandy beach with clear blue water. We gathered at Zablan to take our family pictures. The view was breathtaking. We had the beautiful blue ocean on one side and the lush green mountains on the other side. As you can see from my photo the sunset was amazing. So much beauty in one place. God did an awesome job.

Limited parking spaces and bathrooms are dirty but it's a beautiful beach. Super clear water but the waves can be rough in some parts. **Watch out for thieves. My bf and i caught a local teenager trying to peek in my beach bag.

This beach has a very intense side where surfers kill in on the waves. The calmer side is good for families but please keep in mind that this is a very "locals" beach. You don't find touristy amenities or sparkling clean facilities. Aside from that, beautiful beach!

Hands down my favorite beach ever!! Things I look for in a beach is clean water, parking nearby, and a shower and bathroom. Rare to find all and have clean sandy beach w not a ton of rocks Located in the west side of the island. It's the first left st the first stop light in NanakuliParking is a large lot next to the bathroom but beware weekends especially three day weekends parking is scarce due to the large family crowds drawing families here Shower is ice cold, lovely heavy pressure. I've been to a LOT of beaches on the island and a lot of them have this weak ass pressure which is not ideal when you tryna get all the salt and sand off of your body Please be aware of your surroundings they have cleaned up the homeless tremendously here but that doesn't mean that an occasional homeless or drug addict aren't hanging out by the bathroom or parking lot

I'm from the west side of Oahu so this was one of the many beaches I grew up going to. It was always so beautiful especially when the waters calm. Recently it's been a big tourist destination which causes the parking lot and then some to be jammed pack and that alone is frustrating. I don't mind coming to visit but is car pool a thing? Anyhow this beach is still one of my favorites.

Like the previous person, this is my favorite beach in nanakuli. Basically it's nanakuli beach park but all the way down to the left is Zablans area. It can get pretty rough and the undertows are major here so be careful. If you don't know undertows are hard to see or judge above waters. So you can't really tell just by looking because it can look calm and swimable above. So just be careful. Also if you're not a strong swimmer be careful of here because on days it's too rough you can be swept out just as with any other beach. There's a few lifeguards guarding the stretch but not as much as some other beaches. Bathrooms are gross so beware. There are showers and good parking. Overall love this beach. Beautiful valley behind and beautiful beach in front.

Love it. Great beach. Fun setting. Bathrooms and outdoor showers. If you are unfamiliar with the beach and ocean tides only let your kids jump off the rocks when other local kids are and watch how they do it as it is fairly shallow where they jump. Our kids love to jump over and over again and it isn't very high. Recommend beach umbrella, beach chairs and sunscreen. Enjoy!
