Yummy Korean BBQ

Not all yummy's are created equal and this one is pretty darn good on the world of yummy's This one is always clean. The staff is almost always efficient and courteous. I don't think I have ever had a rude worker here and I have had some incidences at other yummy's. We always order the spicy bbq pork plate. It has mostly been good and tasty. I had a few times it was just ok but most of the time it's good! The side choices are the same as most yummys and the sides are always fresh. Gotta ask for the daikon Kim chee , it's usually in the back. I'm not sure why this place got such a low rating. People need to give this place a second chance.

When I'm in Moanalua area I GOTTA get hit up this Chicken Katsu!Crispy yet not greasy, and I'm sure they marinate the chicken in some kind of sweet teriyaki style Korean sauce before battering it and frying.On top of this veggies is always fresh and the place is clean. My fav side is the tofu!However had to give 4 stars because they forgot da rice!... Auwe!

The combo spicy chicken and meat Jun was delicious!! I had to share the meal with my wife was the only sad thing about it. Oh, the other sad thing was with our 4 choices I love their cucumber kimchi it's as good as when I lived in Korea! But only 4 slices! That made me so sad because it's so delicious!! For $21.98 I wish they gave you at least 6 slices!! but they nailed everything else. The service was quick with no line due to the time of day we ate. The ambiance is cafeteria style at the NEX but anyone can eat here without being military. The food court also has a Popeyes, Little Caesars, subway, chow mein express, Super Gyros and Salads, Sumo Sushi Hawaii, I love country cafe, Charlie's, Dairy Queen and coming soon is Wahlburgs.

Everything is very flavorful and servings are quite generous. Guaranteed to fill you up

Dry, reheated chicken. Inconsistency is expected at this location. Maybe the trick is to avoid coming in the evening, when they focus more on closing than on the customers.

Yummy Korean BBQ is a fast food franchise based out of Honolulu, HI, serving up quality Korean food without the wait time.We decided to drop by to fill up our stomachs after a long day in the heat touring the beautiful island of Oahu and didn't want to break the bank, so we tried out this nice establishment. The setup is very similar to a food court restaurant where the food is already cooked and on display for your choosing. They have a lot of different variety of Korean food to order, such as Korean soups, meats, and noodle dishes. We went ahead and got the short ribs with rice and vegetables and also a Korean soup I had never heard of but was quite happy with it. The short ribs were marinated beautifully and grilled to perfection. They had the perfect bone to meat ratio and were quite tender. The veggies complimented the dish very well as well as the steamed jasmine rice. The soup had eggs in it with bean sprouts, spinach, and noodles. The broth was prepared very well and had a tremendous amount of flavor where it wasn't bland or dull but a nice sharp flavor to it where I found myself slurping more and more. The soup also came with a small side of Kim Chi.Overall, it was a great quick, fast place to get some great tasting food at an affordable price. Customer service was friendly and greeted promptly when we ordered. I'll definitely come back here again and try other dishes they have to offer.

We stopped by on a Thursday at about 3 PM. They were replenishing the sides so they looked really fresh. The service was quick, and I thought they were very generous with the portions.I had the meat Jun combo with beef. And it was all really well seasoned. I would definitely order the same thing again. The only thing is that all their other offerings also looked great. I might have to give the other things a try.

Aloha, I have like most of us been eating at Yummy for YEARS, I do not know what happened on this particular day, but I was so stressed out. Usually, we get the mix plate and spicy chicken but this week we added the chicken Katsu and everything, but the mix plate was awful. The Katsu was burnt, and I live so far, the spicy chicken looked like they just threw the sauce on a piece and called it a day, the noodles were oddly tough, and it just wasn't a good day maybe? I live so far so there was literally nothing I could do but just trash the food. I am so upset that we wasted that much money. I have never had a complaint but this really just runed it for me especially because my kids were so hungry!

I haven't ate at Yummy Korean BBQ for years. Our son craved meat jun and my husband didn't mind having the same meal. Ordered Mandoo Kook Soo $13.99 which includes your choice of five veggies or four vegetables with rice. Soup comes with plump steamed mandoo, shredded beef, partially poached/boiled egg, scallions, green onions, and clear broth. I could only finish three-fourths of the comforting broth. My favorite veggies were the firm tofu, bean sprouts and watercress. Cabbage tasted decent. Jap chae was a little more tougher to chew, and would benefit from boiling longer. I expected easy to slurp noodles. However, that wasn't the case. My better half finished the remaining broth. Took the veggies home. My husband said, "Wow! That's a pretty good deal!" I shared the same sentiment after looking at huge portions considering higher prices.

Overdue review but thought they were getting stingy on portion for the sides on our last visit and then this visit, they just put the bone part of kalbi for one of the pieces. So ridiculous especially because their price point is high for just okay kalbi. Better to go elsewhere.
