Yummy Korean B-B-Q

This particular Yummy Korean B-B-Q is located on the second floor of the Navy Exchange. There is a good sized food court here. I took my Dad out for Veteran's Day. He loves Korean BBQ. My Dad looked at the menu and he immediately asked for the spicy pork plate. You pick four sides with the plate lunch. He picked Choy sum, mayo-shoyu potatoes, kim chee and chop chae (glass noodles). The plate comes with white rice as well. Look at the pictures and you will see just how big this plate is! I'm not sure if my Dad was lucky today as this plate is the biggest amount I have ever seen! We have been to other Yummy locations. He enjoyed the spicy and savory pork. Depending on the piece, the pork was chewy and tender lol. Very tasty and the side dishes are freshly made and delicious.Service was great here. Tables and chairs are located throughout the food court. Employees cleans the area well here. Restrooms are available nearby. This is a good place for those using wheelchairs. Elevators are also available. Prices are reasonable for today's times. No complaints here. Iced water was also provided to us. This plate made two meals for my Dad. I even shared some of the meal.You do not need to show a military identification card to make a purchase in the food court.

If I could give this place negative stars, I wouldOrdered the chicken katsu & meat jun mix plate And oh my god did they mess this upFirst of all the chicken katsu was rock hard and severely over cooked. There was barely any chicken in all that breading. It was like crunching gravel. And for some god forsaken reason, they put ALL end pieces of the katsu in my plate. Like just the end-side pieces of the katsu. Like they must've given other people the middle part of the katsu and given me the nasty burnt ends. I had maybe three pieces that were the middle and the rest was the ends bits?The meat jun came completely un-cut. You have to cut off pieces for yourself which is so weird compared to every other Korean place in the state that will cut your meat jun into strips for you. Not only that but for some reason, this jank location decided to serve you raw soy sauce as "meat jun sauce". Which is also completely different from every other Yummy's location???I've honestly never received such insulting food in so long. Seriously, all burnt katsu ends? I will never be coming to this location again and will be warning anyone and everyone.

They do not pay attention to their online orders! See attached image or order for combo Kalbi with mandoo, seaweed, edamame, shoyu potatoes, fired potato salad, and spicy udon noodles.Then see image of order (no kalbi and spinach instead of edamame). I did return and they gave me the Colby but didn't even recheck the order. I guess I need to be careful to make sure my order is correct if I order online from this location.

Haole style food makes sense tho cause it's the nex location. It just wasn't what I expected or wanted.

There are two Yummy BBQs in the NEX area. One is in Moanalua Shopping Center, and this one is inside the NEX foodcourt. Since we had to drop off something at UPS, my friend and I decided to try here.Meat Jun BBQ Beef combo - 4 stars - for $20.49, same price as the one in Moanalua SC, they give a lot more, They also have a spicy udon pan chan which no other Yummy's I've tried, to choose from among the regular ones. The Meat Jun was delicious, but the BBQ Beef was really salty, so it was hard to eat, thus the 4 stars.Service was average coming from a food court. Lots of parking since it is at the NEX. If I feel like eating at Yummy's while I'm in the area, I'll try here again.

Great location right in Moanalua NEX food court.Service was great at the register and quick in the food prep. The food was 'ono too! Perfect portion sizes, enough to share! Would recommend a combination plate of BBQ chicken and meat jun if you're here.Seating was readily available as well as parking out front.Don't have to be military to eat here.

Located in the main exchange food court, this place always has a great kalbi combo. The banchan, side dishes, are always on point. It's almost like a bunch of Korean grandmas are making this in the back. Amazing flavor, just like mom used to make. May faves are the japchae, kimchee (lettuce and cucumber). The kalbi is cooked perfectly! Comes in a bed of rice.

Needed a quick lunch and decided to stop at Yummy's--so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. Everything was fresh and flavorful. It definitely lived up to its name! I'll be making it a point to stop by another Yummy's next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

Who could have known that because of my primary meal was food deficient that I would look across the room and see this Korean BBQ manned by the most adorable 2 ladies scooping out some of the more traditional Hawaiian fare which compelled me to order the yummy platter which was beef , chicken and kalbi Beef with 4 sides corn cabbage Mac and bok Choi let me tell you this place should have been my first choice!Deliciousness across the board service was amazing for amazing and being that it was a good court establishment loud, but organized as well as plain ole good!

Why is it that after shopping it feels so tiring and sometimes hungry! We were are NEX shopping and I need to feed my stomach who by the way is hungry most of the time. Lol, so here I am had to grab quick eats!Mini Beef - came with a scoop of white rice, beef and a sides of cabbage & bean sprout. Beef is so tasty and seasoned well. Not even tough just cooked right. The sides are not overcooked and they got a good crunch on every bite. It was a delighted meal and my tummy is definitely the happiest. I paired it with itoen green tea which I kinda don't like coz it's way too bland. Lol.Service is good and the cashier is nice and patience towards me. They are located inside NEX foodcourt pretty spacious and plenty chairs/tables to dine in. I will surely love to come back here.Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow yeeps!
