My first speakeasy experienceThe vibes were a mix between tropical Pirates of the Caribbean and post office. Make sure you book reservations in advance if you want to go into the speak easy. The door is a bunch of mailboxes. To order drinks, you have to mail a "postcard" to the bar.I ordered the titah bun, which came in an adorable cobra cup. I think the consensus for the group was P. Sherman was the best drink. Not only was it an espresso martini, but came in a turtle cup! Overall, very fun Pau Hana spot if you work Downtown. Thanks for reading my reviews! Let me know what I should try next!

THIS IS A GOOD PLACE IF YOU'RE SEEKING BARTENDERS WHO PRAY FOR DEATH TO FIND YOU Been here twice. It's like going back to a toxic ex. Horrible. You might have suicidal ideations because the bartenders enjoy gaslighting customers into thinking their existence is a waste. The drinks are $22 each and comes with a complimentary argument if you call them out on their narcissism. All the one star reviews on Yelp are true.

PATRONS BEWARE.Despite reading the negative reviews, we went anyway... being the only Christmas speakeasy we haven't checked off the list. It lived up to the lowest expectation. First red flag... Waited 11 min at the "please wait to be seated" sign with only glances from the bartenders and no acknowledgement that we would be attended to, even as he walked right passed to speak to 1 of the 3 patrons in the bar at the time. Second red flag... One of the couples seated got up and said, "I don't want my drink anymore, cancel it." (Could they also be frustrated with the wait time?)Third and final red flag... I asked the group that was exiting if it was fun inside & they half-way smiled with no teeth and did a one shoulder shrug while saying, "eh- it's small."When Derick finally came to us asking for our reservation... it turns out- that we needed to reserve not the first, nor the second, but the 3rd area on OpenTable... so we were irritatedly SOL. Got festively dressed up and drove all the way out here for nothing.

Yours Truly is NOT a safe or comfortable place for a cocktail. This review is a warning, friends. Upon arrival, we were met with rudeness from the initial bartender, who scowled the whole time and refused to let me cash out my tab before going back to the speakeasy. His unpleasant demeanor made us feel unwelcome. His bitterness was unwarranted and palpable to the point I felt uncomfortable. When we tried to access the Christmas speakeasy, we encountered more issues. The bartender was unhelpful, repeatedly telling us to "follow the security camera" as if that meant anything. I assure you it does not and it was weird and uncomfortable that he kept saying that instead of assisting us. He also refused to split our tab, despite assuring us it could be done. After I questioned why the whole charge went on my friend's card, a second bartender was alarmingly rude and unapologetic as he tried to gaslight me. He wasn't there, how can he tell me what was said? It felt like it was oddly personal but we never met either of them before which leads me to believe they have issues and are potentially discriminatory. When dropping fifty bucks on 2 drinks, I have no interest in being inconvenienced with extra steps like Venmo. That is a reasonable expectation, wouldn't you agree? To be fair, I skipped the tip so I saved ten bucks. Never have I ever done that before, but the service was borderline traumatizing and negative behavior has negative consequences. It felt like they were deliberately making our experience negative. Many reviewers share similar experiences, indicating a concerning pattern of poor service and aggression from the bartenders. The owners need to address this issue seriously. A simple apology for the mix-up could have changed our experience, but instead, we left feeling disturbed and disrespected. Please consider avoiding this place until changes are made.Friends, this is a rare negative review on Google* because I value small businesses and the success of downtown's revival is important to me. I don't like to put out negative vibes, so I prefer to leave good reviews on places I truly enjoyed- check my recs for a fun night. Spend wisely, I say this out of love- this place ain't it, ladies. Almost 1 out of 3 reviewers' alarming comments echo our experience, which indicates a concerning pattern that continues to be ignored.I hope this place considers serious changes and friends, please heed my warnings because I don't play. I assure you, I would not be writing this if I didn't feel this strongly- this bar is problematic. It's new, and I want it to succeed. Truly. It's supposedly owned by a woman and I hope whoever she is doesn't let these mean men ruin what she worked so hard to create. Hopefully, they'll rethink their training and hiring practices and add security. In this era, we need to protect women, all women, and all friends and allies of the entire inclusive community. Friends- stay alert, stay aware, and stay safe. Speak with your wallet; your voice matters.*this is my 1st yelp review, I feel this strongly to WARN others

The bad reviews are SOOOO irrelevant. The staff was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were treated the absolute best! The bar bites were delicious. Not much to choose from but we were really there for the vibes and the drinks. I loved that the hostess explained everything to us. I absolutely loved loved loved the speakeasy vibe. Despite being asked to move out to the main bar, everything was amazing! Would I go back again? Most definitely!! And I most definitely recommend if you're looking to explore Speakeasys

I absolutely love theme bars, and Yours Truly completely delivered on every level! The experience starts right at the main bar, which is postal service-themed in the most classy and creative way. The drinks are nothing short of delicious and posh--every sip felt like a treat! But the real highlight is the speakeasy experience. To enter, you "lean on 219," which adds a playful and mysterious vibe. Inside the speakeasy, you're transported to a tiki-themed paradise. The tiki drinks are fantastic--every single one we tried was spot on. What made it even more fun was the unique ordering system. You fill out your drink choices on a postcard, drop it in a mailbox, and that's also where you retrieve your drinks. Such a clever and interactive twist!Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I can't recommend Yours Truly enough to all our friends. If you love creative themes, amazing drinks, and a touch of adventure, this is a must-visit spot!

We had such a fun experience. Glad we came to try the holiday drinks. If you like strong drinks then get the North Pole potion. Pupus were the perfect starts for our night out. Ordering was fun. Mark the postcard and place and in the mailbox, then pick up drinks from the box when made.

What a delightful surprise! Chinatown is already full of great options, but who would have known that the AC Hotel would have this gem! Great cocktails, a hidden speakeasy that involves the history of the building, and the fantastic Olivia slinging quality service! I literally can't wait to come back, and would recommend. Also, lots of great food nearby, so just a great spot for a night out on the town.

Yours Truly. A brand new spot that opened up inside the AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu, this beautiful bar had a great aesthetic and a delicious cocktail menu to match it.We were lucky enough to get a reservation for the speakeasy hidden within the bar; and as a speakeasy lover it did not disappoint us. From the hidden entrance to the friendly service, every moment here was enjoyable. There's also the best cocktail here for coffee lovers. It's called the P. Sherman, and it is the most scrumptious, dangerous coffee-based alcoholic drink I've ever had. It's a must try. Even my husband, who isn't the biggest fan of coffee, ended up getting his own.I love this place. Cannot recommend enough.

Hot damn these drinks are art. Every sip is purposely balanced and each sip demands attention. Jor-El (yes Superman's dad) and Derek treat everyone like they would like to be treated and watching them make their drinks is comparable to watching your much deserved Sundae be made. I did not overstate anything. Your welcome.
