Kinda wanted to gate keep this..This is my all time favorite comfort food I would drive from the west side Ewa beach fight traffic to go to the Kakaako AND Kaneohe farmers market to get this. When they changed their concept I was devastated and then I found out they brought it back and an actual location I felt like peace and harmony was put back in the world. My go to order is spicy beef extra spicy. I only wanted to gate keep them because on my crippest days their noodles would bring me back to life and lowkey didn't want to run into anyone I know like that BUT posting so that the owner knows how much of a positive impact his food makes on me... (the community) and won't take it away again :)

If you're like me and need your biang biang noodle fix in Honolulu, this is the place to go! If the name sounds familiar, Youpo Noodles used to be a staple at several farmer's markets on island, including Wednesdays at the Blaisdell and Saturdays on Ward. Now that they have their brick and mortar shop in Chinatown and offer takeout/delivery, I can officially get these noodles whenever I want instead! Dangerous but totally worth it, especially when I used to be so spoiled with Xi'an Famous Foods! The menu options for the noodles come with different proteins and different spice levels including Beef, Cumin Lamb, Duck, Curry Shrimp and Pork, and Mushroom Tofu. When I spoke with the person who took my order, she mentioned that they can adjust spice to either make it as spicy as you want or one level less spicy than what is advertised.Over the years, I've tried every noodle dish they have, with the mushroom tofu I ordered during this visit being the last one to complete the menu. I normally order the Beef noodle as it's the spiciest one on the menu (along with the mushroom tofu), but I absolutely loved the spice and flavor of the mushroom tofu, and it's vegan for those of you who are going plant-based. One of my friends ordered the beef, while another friend ordered the mushroom tofu with less spice and both of them loved it! We also split the chicken wings (four wings in the order), which was cooked with honey, szechuan peppercorns and chilis. The chicken wings were so good, we cleared the plate before I even remembered to take a photo!Service was great! The person at the counter was really sweet and also offered suggestions as needed. The space seats maybe 15-20 people max, and is one of those places where you place your order at the counter and if you plan to dine in, take a seat at an open table while they bring out your food. Parking in Chinatown is what it is! If you can find street parking, great! If not, there's numerous parking garages and paid lots in the area. I'm already looking forward to the next time I order from here!

Three co-workers and I visited Youpo Noodles on Maunakea St to try their hand-tossed noodles. There are five noodle dishes: Beef, Cumin Lamb, Duck, Mushroom / Tofu, and Curry Shrimp and Pork Noodle, ranging in prices from $17 to $19. Each dish is rated one to four chilis for heat and you can request one step up or down. I tried the Cumin Lamb, which is rated at two chilis but asked for the step up to three chilis. Another chose the duck, but one step down to two chilis. Interestingly, the mushroom / tofu and the beef dishes are rated four chilis and the curry shrimp and pork is the sole one chili option. Our dishes were ready in just a few minutes, and we took them back to our office. For takeout, they come in a smallish container. The presentation is fine, just like the pictures on their website. We were all a little concerned about the portion size; each seemed petite. My 3-chili Cumin Lamb was spicy, but not too spicy. I could have gone with a bit more heat. The lamb comes shredded with pieces of bok choy, pak choy, bean sprouts and julienned green onion atop the noodles, which are sitting in a sauce of soy and black vinegar and chili. The noodles were firm and chewy; perfect to me. I just wish there were more ... A couple more ounces of noodles would have made the dish perfect. Others thought the same.Conditionally recommended.

Got some good hot Asian food at this small restaurant that's in Chinatown. It specializes in noodles if that's not already obvious. Youpo Noodles has a pretty simple menu with only a few things. Okay though because it makes ordering a lot easier. The prices might be a little high but you get pretty big portions. Came in and there wasn't anyone else eating inside. It's probably a lot more popular as takeout. They have a pretty simple menu with choices for meat eaters and vegetarians. About as authentic flavor as it gets. It's about $17 for an entree, which is okay when considering the big portions. Among the noodle options are ones with meats such as chicken and duck. We got the Mushroom Tofu Noodles. It's the spiciest one they have. This has bean sprouts, bok choy, green onions, maitake mushrooms, pak choy, sesame seeds, and tofu.Has lots of noodle options plus a few other things on the menu. It's closed Tuesdays. They have a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

We ordered Youpo noodles for pick up on a Friday. Their brick and mortar location is in Chinatown. We ordered a bunch of noodle dishes to try: keiki noodle, mushroom tofu noodle, curry shrimp and pork noodle, beef noodle, and cumin lamb noodle. Each noodle dish has a slightly different flavor than the next. The spice level was awesome, and the keiki noodle had none. I got the mushroom tofu noodle and the mushrooms were great. I had to get everything tossed around in the sauce after I tried a bite because it wasn't flavorful. But that sauce was so good with the veggies. The noodles, or should I say noodle, was literally one long piece. The noodle was nice and chewy but not as thick feeling as you would think. I thoroughly enjoyed the type of noodle with the dish. I had to try the curry noodle dish because it was totally different than mine. Then there was the cumin lamb which has a great cumin flavor. I have to say, this was a very different tasting dish and I wish they had more options and sit down options since I'm sure this would taste so much better there! Pro tip: make sure you toss those noodles around in the sauce to get all that oily flavor on the noodles!

Love their beef hand pulled noodles. Thick cut noodles with just the right amount of chewiness. Comes with a bit of spice but super tasty!

Hand-pulled Chinese noodles that have a great kick (spicy level 1-4) and great flavors at about $17-$19. They started at the Kakaako Farmers Market and now have their own shop in Chinatown! A simple shop with about 6 tables. Friendly gal at the cash register and I could see the guy in the back pulling the noodles so I knew it'd be good. Will be back!

Thank you for returning and opening up in Chinatown! Have been craving these noods for a long time. I lived in China for a few years, and these definitely rival or even supersede those I delighted in when living there. Everyone has always been super friendly, which is a feat when they are so busy. Thanks, chef Andrew and your lovely staff! And congrats on your new location :)

I've loved their noodles at the farmers markets and I was super excited to see them set up shop! Everything is great! I got the curry noodles and chicken wings. The noodles were great as always even with my travel time home (20mins) the noodles still had great texture. The wings are some of the best I've had in a while. They're the full wing with the tip attached and are crusted in a spicey chili honey seasoning/rub. I really love spicy so if you're not into it you might not like it but the fry on the wings is amazing and worth the burn! Staff is nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.
