My three kids have been taking piano lessons at Young's Piano Studio for over 7 years now. My daughter and middle son, a junior and freshman in high school respectively, have been playing at a college level for at least two years. The youngest doesn't have a high level of interest in music, but his teacher has managed to keep him learning and motivated enough to continue progressing. One of the biggest issues I've had with other piano teachers is that it's hard to know what goes on when the door closes. With a teacher at another business, I didn't realize that my daughter was the subject of scoldings and name calling, which is why I eventually pulled my kids out of that instructor's business and enrolled them at Young's. My kids tell me that Miss Christine has consistently been very patient and encouraging. I've seen her interact with them and have the highest level of confidence in both her teaching abilities as well as her respect and warmth that she shows children. Christine's other teacher, Peony, is also an excellent teacher who clearly enjoys working with kids. BTW, none of us is able to speak Korean, but my kids and I have never had a language issue with either teacher - both speak English naturally and fluently.

I had taken piano lessons at Young's Piano Studio for 8 years and was a student of Ms. Christine's for 4 of those years. During my time at the studio, I not only progressed greatly in terms of playing the piano but also developed a deeper understanding and appreciation for music in general. Ms. Christine is an extremely patient and thoughtful teacher who not only focuses on teaching proper technique but also takes a personal interest in her students. There was a point in my life where I came close to giving up piano due to personal circumstances but Ms.Christine's genuine concern for me and passion for music and teaching allowed me to persevere and I could not have been more grateful. I would recommend Young's Piano Studio to students of all ages!

My daughter has been learning at this studio for 8 years. She enjoys piano very much, and the teachers are always kind and respectful to both the students and parents. My daughter says that she always looks forwards to going to her piano lesson and that she really likes her teacher. My daughter has won competitions, and enjoys participating at the two recitals the studio holds every year. My daughter is now very advance, and she plays piano very well. I definitely recommend this studio, because the teachers teach good material and they make learning the piano fun.

I've had several piano teachers here. There were decent ones. But some seemed to just practice with the students rather than teach or give constructive criticism (hence, I didn't improve or learn much). I often felt unchallenged with the pieces, and it seemed like the piano teachers would rather have me stick with easier music. They didn't seem interested in helping me improve, and some seemed to just do the job for the money. I wasn't fluent in Korean, and I had a difficult time understanding what a Korean teacher would say to me (many of the teachers are from Korea, and the studio has a lot of local Korean students).Feeling unchallenged and realizing I wasn't learning much, I left for another piano studio. I didn't appreciate how a former piano teacher from this studio started a rumor about me. It's unprofessional to badmouth a student to other students, especially with false accusations. Fortunately, that teacher is no longer there.To be fair, I'd like to think this studio has improved. The owner was a pretty good teacher, and this piano school did participate in statewide piano events after I left.

My daughter has been attending Young's Piano Studio for 8 years. She's been taking lessons from Ms. Christine for the past 4 years. I have nothing but positive things to say about Young's Piano Studio. Ms. Christine clearly loves what she does and her passion for teaching piano is what keeps us loyal. We've moved from town to central Oahu 5 years ago, but the drive into town every weekend is well worth it. Big thumbs up to Ms. Christine and Young's Piano Studio!
