They have a great store with enough stuff to wanna look around and even buy some stuff, a knowledgeable and helpful staff and what is helpful as they have their own parking lot. I'll be at small but it is also not the most crowded place so I was able to easily find parking. I recommend this place

I was just in to pick up a gift card, in this business it's a gift certificate, for my son. This business is literally "locked and loaded" and very professional. No joking, serious and direct. There were several people looking to buy handguns and they were informed of the laws regarding revolvers, rifles and knives.....lots of knives. There was a lot of personal protection stuff ie pepper spray, vests, belts, bullet proof gear. Also an abundance of flashlights, flashing warning lights, tactical lights that would make your backyard light up and seen at the ISS.The staff is patient with people wanting to purchase a hand gun. Going over the specifics and pitfalls and consequences of wrong information or things that would invalidate the application. Seem to know what they're doing and helping you to navigate Hawaii/Honolulu's convoluted gun laws.While they do have a parking lot next to the building there was no parking except on the street which is always difficult in this area. It's not a open-door business. You stand outside at the door until someone comes and lets you in and you won't be greeted by a perky clerk. They are worth checking out and a good idea for a gift certificate for someone who's an enthusiast.

The person helping me was knowledgeable and helpful. They have an abundance of inventory. Parking can be a little limited.

These guys have been around for a long time IMO one of the premiere gun shops on island... Located across wesco and across the old sears maintenance shop. Parking is (I believe mostly all street with a few stalls on the side of the building.Inside is bigger than most gun shops (actually they probably are the biggest) the sales floor is filled with an abundant selection of gun accessories from holsters ..cleaning supplies... optics.. target products etc... They have a large selection of pistols.. sporting rifles.. shotguns and tactical rifles. The staff is very attentive friendly and they all are very knowledgableBe patient because only so much customers are allowed in at a time and the rest needs to wait outside but well worth the wait.... they have unique packages some of their tactical long gunshave red dots upgraded furniture magazines and even a bag for a reasonable price.If you are looking for a gunshop that has it all gotta check out young guns

I entered the establishment, to purchase a Magpul PMAG GEN M3 Window AR-15 .223/5.56 30-Round Magazine. The individual who was assisting me notified me that to purchase this specific magazine, I would have to sign a waiver. (not required, or stated under any of the Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) Chapter 134).The individual informed me that this was a necessary step to educate me; of the Hawaii Gun Laws. (as a firearm owner, shouldn't we already all be well versed in HAWAII'S firearm laws, rules, and regulations?)Although now I was annoyed, I understood that this was to "protect" themselves from the possibility of prosecution, or repercussions. If the extent of the processes was to read, acknowledge, sign, then date; I would of obliged; however the individual required name, ADDRESS OF RESIDENCE, proof of identification, name, signature. (Why would a place of business, not legally required to (for this particular sale), ask for personal information, then decline a sale otherwise? Is this business secretly trying to add you to their mailing list, of over priced items? Is this business selling your information? Is this individual employee an identity criminal? Is this business a front for a more heinous crime?... Probably not, but you never know)This employee then preceded to profile me, stating "Well, based on the way you are acting, how do I know you are not a criminal, or if you are allowed to own this item?" OK, thats fine, I understand the immature nature of your disposition, I will leave your establishment...also.. 24.98 ?!?!? Thats almost 39% markup from Magpul's website MSRP.As far as professionalism, and price ANY other store would be better.

Went in to young guns to get some information about what gun would be good for me. Greg was there to help me with all my questions. Greg showed me 3 guns that would be good for me. So I said I would be back when I was ready. This weekend I went back but Greg was busy conducting a class. But Bradda Joe was there to help me with all my questions and I made a decision. Joe gave me the best service and attention that a customer could ask for. Went through the process and made the purchase. I will definitely be back making another purchase. Mahalo's to young guns. Haven't gone in a gun store in over 20 years. Staff here made me feel comfortable. They had a good selection and prices are good too.

online prices are pretty decent but..... the way they handled the whole situation with the firearms i purchased via online was not okay. they usually have to call you once your order comes arrives in 7- 10 from their warehouse. I ended up waiting 12 actual business days (not including the holidays!) to give them the benefit of the doubt to only find out they had it the whole time. it took 2 phone calls to confirm delivery. one where they took my information down and they had to look for it and the two only to call me 3 hours later saying they finally found it ands its ready to pick up. Their customer service is okay and i feel like when you wait outside to be noticed the longest i waited was almost 20mins before having to stick my face in the window multiple times. Security Equip. on young street has way better response time to the door and they're slammed every time i go! their ammo prices are kinda steep i ended up paying 2x the prices of other stores ammo prices over here. This is just my honest opinion, everyone has different experiences but it's sad that i live down the road and i have to travel a little farther for better service and prices. you live and you learn
