I cant believe i never tried this place before. I see in everyday on my way to work parked on king street right in front of thomas square, but i never thought about going. It took my coworker to try it and tell me about it. Ive been here 5 times so far and have tried to get something different everytime. So far, this place has hit 5 out of 5. Garlic chicken is nice and crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The steak is nicely seasoned and flavorful. Garlic ahi(subbed with Baba) is delicious. Its breaded and fried then smothered in a wasabi sauce. Their roast pork plate was nice aswell. If youre in town and looking for a good place to eat, Id definitely recommend the You Hungry Lunch Wagon. The food is good, the guy taking the orders is super cool, and their prices are great.

The portions are HUGE! If you get lunch from here you will not be hungry when your done. I always get the same thing steak, no rice just tossed salad. They are very accommodating, although they do always double check... "you sure no rice."For $9.50 you get a healthy portion of meat, rice (if you want it) and tossed salad . They have this great wasabi salad dressing to. The food can be a little salty at times, but I love salt so not a problem for me. Also with most meals you get a free drink. The service is quick. They usually park on the King street side of Thomas Square or just one block over. It's a big white truck. If I recall they also have daily specials like Loco Moco, chicken Katsu, Mahi, and pork. Not sure how these taste. I just stick with the steak. If they had BBQ chicken I might give it a try.The only reason I don't give them 4 stars is some times they are out of tossed salad and it's good steak but not great.

This lunch truck opened up shop (if that's proper for a lunch truck) recently, and its a huge hit. The portions are generous and the price very reasonable.I always order the Garlic Chicken plate, and every time I've had the most perfect white rice - the kind you SHOULD get in a plate lunch. The bed of rice is covered with a generous helping of chicken and the sauce flavors the rice just right. 2 thumbs up to the guys who run this wagon, I see them parked on the street early in the morning (I'm assuming to save the spot on the street) and they work hard through the lunch hour.

Pros are that its cheap and has lots of options, but for me, it wasnt that great. Got garlic chicken like some suggested. Was pretty dried out. Maybe I came late though. Would go back to give this place a second chance

I needed to loosen the belt for this one. Monday to Friday 10 to 1 you can find this wagon right across the Blaisdell Concert hall parked at the metered parking of Thompson Square. Wholly Molly what selection. This was my first time trying it out. I work less than ten minute walk from here and its worth it. Tried the Hawaiian plate that is trully massive portions. Two scoops rice choice of mac, toss, or corn. One full serving Lau Lau, a scoop full of Kalua Pork and two pieces of shoyu chicken. 9.25. Lau Lau tasted like Lau Lau I usually drown mine with ketchup while most people use shoyu I know sacrilege, the Kalua was pretty salty for my taste and the shoyu chicken was tender and sweet. Second thought maybe I got a fully loaded plate cause it was the last one. Lol.Anyway the servers were very friendly, they addressed their regular customers by name and welcomed everyone with friendly smile. Didnt really finish the plate had to save it for dinner. I will be going back to try some fish plates the had.

You Hungry has cheap food with huge portions. Their Mac salad is alright. I like their steak, garlic chicken, and misoyaki chicken, too! Can't go wrong. Prices are great!

My alternate lunch break place to Tommy's cafe. Right outside the building of Tommy's. Can't go wrong with $5-$7 plate lunches. Food comes out fast and hot, gives me enough time to enjoy my 30 min lunch break.

Just had lunch there yesterday. I had the hamburger steak plate. The portions are pretty big. However, My hamburger steak was not homemade and was pretty dry. If they are gonna serve it like that please add more gravy!!!

Went about 12:50 today and they were sold out of nearly everything. I ended up getting the garlic chicken. It was HORRIBLE. The chicken was like chewing on a dog's chew toy with some yoshida sauce on top. I believe this was probably the last order of chicken they had, so maybe it was sitting at the bottom of the try getting hard and stale, but that's no excuse. The chicken was so hard and chewy that my jaw was sore and stiff halfway through the plate. Don't ask me why I even ate that much. The Mac salad was also completely tasteless and the most lazy attempt at Mac salad I've ever seen. I couldn't taste whatever mayonnaise was on it, nor ANY seasoning at all. The customer service was nice and the prices are low so I guess they deserve some credit for that. That being said, I won't be returning nor will I recommend this food truck to anyone.
