Food quality: 4/5Service: 5/5Cleanliness: 5/5Value: 5/5Tried Yi Fang for the first time while visiting Honolulu at the Fort Street location. The staff was nice and welcoming. I ordered the Brown Sugar Pearl Latte and it came out pretty quickly. Not sure if it was an off day or if this is normal for this chain, but the drink tasted more of milk than tea and the boba pearls weren't sweet and very overcooked so there was no chewy texture. Hoping others may have a better experience!

Wonderful way to beat the heat! Head to Yi Fang for all types of tea! Fort Street Mall entrance. Grass jelly green tea latte was great. So was the taro latte. Service was polite and kind. Fluffy white dog is the store mascot- so darn cute! Good for after school or work tea fix!!

First time trying their green plum tea and loved it! It's like the ones I've had in Taiwan and they use the good plums and not the dried up ones. I also like how you can reduce the sweetness. The location is at Ft Street Mall. I'm rarely in this area but will definitely consider coming back or try their other location.

I was nearby so I thought I'd try this location and just get something completely new. There was 1 guy working and he was nice. I ordered a rosette kumquat green tea, extra sweet. There were 5 men in there who ordered right before us. A lot of people, maybe 8 or more, came in after us. I wish I warned them, because we wasted so much time there. Since the cashier was the only person working, he was also the one making the drinks. He was SO inefficient. He would take forever to do anything when making the drinks, literally have nothing done within 3 minutes except place the empty cups on the counter. Then would go and take the order of everyone who walked in, the moment the walked in. I waited 35 minutes for my drink. And that only happened because a girl came in for her shift. She was efficient. He had about 15 orders to fulfill and had nothing done. She came in at around 30 minutes of us waiting, and just instantly got to work on the drinks. She knew what she was doing. But they messed up my drink LOL. They gave me the kumquat green tea but I ordered the rosette one. She remade it, and guess what? It took her less than 2 minute to make. Terrible service, terrible business model to have 1 incompetent guy working. I also didn't like the drink as it was very sour. Do not come here.

This little gem is an oasis in fort street mall. The interior is extremely clean, cool, with comfortable seating. The service is welcoming and hospitable. We stopped by to quench our boba cravings but ended up ordering other things just to try!All the drinks tasted fresh and were made with meticulous care. The green tea had a slight bitter accent which gave the drink a tasty personality. The strawberry tea contained fresh fruit and a much better experience than that big box chain smoothie. The salty cream tea unique in taste combining salty milky foam and sweet tea. There so many things to try on the menu!I will come here again and again!

I love Yi Fang!! I especially love the winter melon tea with its delicious deep and slightly smokey flavor. Don't sleep on the pancakes. If you have time to wait for them, they come out fresh and delicious. Great place to stop in for a pick me up, especially in the afternoon when you need a coffee alternative. They also have caffeine free drinks!

I love Yi Fang and it was my first time going back since they moved to this location. It did not disappoint. The workers were friendly and patient as we ordered. I love that their drinks are customizable with the amount of sweetness. I usually like my drinks really sweet, but it's also great for those who don't have a sweet tooth like I do. I have been craving the mango sago dessert lately and was happy to see they actually have a mango sago drink. It was exactly I needed on such a hot, sunny day. It was very refreshing and it satisfied my cravings. We'll definitely be back soon to try out more of their drinks. There are so many options it's hard to choose!

Came here for National Boba Day with my boyfriend and a friend. We got 20% off our drinks because of the holiday. I haven't been here since they moved to this new location. This new location is right next to Marugame in downtown. Honestly, this location is harder to get to than the old location. The parking situation in downtown sucks unless you work there or are bussing. Otherwise you will have to circle around for street parking or pay to park in a structure (I recommend Ali'i parking garage even though it's got the a further walk).I got the Yakult mountain tea and the grass jelly tea latte to share with my boyfriend. My boyfriend got the oolong tea latte for himself. The Yakut mountain tea was tasty. It had the Yakult tartness that was sweetened by the tea. The grass jelly tea latte was a total let down. The tea was very light flavored and the grass jelly (which should have been the star of the show) was VERY soft and flimsy. It had no firmness to it. The grass jelly flavor was very light and subtle, which barely tasted like the grass jelly flavor I know and love. I really wanted to like this drink, but it was a miss. The custard pancakes were warm and fresh. They take about 15 minutes ti make. The pancakes were crunchy on the outside, but soft and nicely sweet inside. The perfect combo! I got custard filling, but they skimped on the filling. It was kinda deflated from lack of filling (see pic LOL). Service was alright. There was two people working and they made our drinks one at a time. We were able to drink our drinks while we waited for pancakes.

The franchised Yi Fang Fruit Tea business originated in Taiwan and is known for its fruit-based boba drinks, made with fruit juices and tea leaves imported from Taiwan. Its classic fruit tea has authentic Taiwanese pineapple jam, passion fruit jam, fresh organic apples and orange slices, and blended with a house made syrup and refreshing tea. It supposed to have a sweet and sour taste similar to oolong tea and the fresh fruits.Yi Fan has more than 170 businesses in the US, United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand. Hawaii's first Yi Fang location opened at Fort Street Mall in downtown Honolulu in Feb. 2022, which has been successful due to the easy accessibility for downtown workers. Yi Fang opened a second location on Dillingham Blvd in Honolulu in Oct. 2022, but it recently closed mid-January 2023, as they prepare to open soon at the new Azure condominium on Keeaumoku Street in the Ala Moana area. Local co-owner, Henry Huang, who is the Director of Operations in HI, personally flew to Taiwan to learn more about the Yi Fang franchise.Yi Fang's founder is Ko Tzu-kai from Taiwan. His grandparents planted pineapple for three generations and used overripe pineapples to make homemade jam, which led to a family recipe of using local fruits and ingredients to make these teas.Yi Fang HI offers plain tea (black, green, mountain, and oolong); flavored teas; fruit teas; tea lattes; brown sugar teas; salty cream teas; and custard egg pancakes (original, taro, custard, milk tea) shaped into a boba drink with their "Yi Fang" name on it. You can choose various toppings: pearl, grass jelly, green tea jelly, sago, caramel pudding, mini tea boba, and red bean. New drink flavors are introduced and promoted with the change of the seasons: Summer - mango and lychee drinks, Fall - Earl Grey drinks, Winter - dark cocoa drinks. With a choice of Earl Grey lemon tea, black tea, or tea latte, I chose the lemon tea with the green tea jelly topping. I enjoyed my drink, as it was very refreshing with a pleasing taste of Earl Grey and lemon flavors, complemented with the green tea jelly. Nice flavor, as there was a nice balance of sweet and sour; however, if I had a choice between this and their fruit teas, I would choose their fruit tea.Staff is more than happy to make recommendations on the cup size (medium or large), percentage of sweetness, add-ins, and amount of ice. Note that although you can make adjustments, the staff will let you know that not all drinks can be adjusted, as it would alter the taste and quality standards. Some drinks require a larger size for additional toppings (e.g., boba), or there would not be sufficient amount of liquid. On a recent trip to Toronto, I visited a Yi Fang location there and had the classic fruit tea. I thoroughly enjoyed it; however, I didn't care for the black passion fruit seeds that were in the drink, as I did not enjoy crunching on seeds, although you could eat them. So, next time I'll be sure to request no passion fruit seeds.Hours of operation were recently updated and are: Mon to Fri and Sun 8:30a to 7p, Sat 10a to 7p, and Sun 10a to 6p. Located next to Marugame Udon, parking is available on nearby streets (metered), municipal parking lots, or Pantheon Garage next to Marugame Udon (validated). Yi Fang HI is very much part of the local community as it gives back to local non-profit organizations from proceeds of drink sales, such as the Chinese Chamber of Commerce to revitalize Chinatown, HI International Film Festival, and the Center for Tomorrow's Leaders. Yi Fang has donated drinks or provided discounts for various worthy causes, including first responders and workers in the medical field. Much appreciate their generosity in supporting our communities.Don't forget to ask for your loyalty card for a free drink after 10 drink purchases. Yi Fang also offers discounts on various holidays. So glad that Hawaii has its own Yi Fang, knowing that its drinks are consistent worldwide. Looking forward to returning to try their many fruit tea drinks, especially since they change with the seasons.
