Yatai Sushi

Yatai sushi was so awesome!! We got lucky and able to book them for our New Year's Eve party. It really took it to another level. They were super easy to book, communicate with, sushi chef was early not just on time, super professional, and best of all the sushi was so fresh and delicious. All of my guests left raving over the dinner. We definitely will book them again! Mahalo Dean and Yatai sushi! Highly recommend!

Loved working with Yatai Sushi. Their team was great on time. Super professional and really fun. Sushi was amazing. The little sushi hots with live Sushi was awesome and they made a bunch of rolls at the end and left them for everybody to snack on. Highly recommend and will definitely use again. Thanks for everything.

I could find Yatai Sushi!For the past two years we had Yatai Sushi cater our event. Having an actual sushi chef at your party makes your party even cooler and unique.It was easy coordinating the with Todd, the Owner. He responded super fast to my inquiries. We had two different sushi chefs each time but both were really friendly and cool. They were on time and came prepared. You just need to provide them a space and maybe access to a sink. I love how I didn't need to worry about them. The minimum amount for a party is 40 people~They'll stay for 2 hours or until they run out. In regard to the sushi, they quality of fish is great. They make: hamachi, ebi, salmon, maguro nigiris to name a couple. Then they also make California and spicy ahi(?) handrolls. If you're having a pupu event, the sushi plus a couple sides is enough~If you want your party to stand out, cater with Yatai Sushi!

Yatai Sushi took on my little last minute get together, four days before the party. Todd was prompt replying to my messages and very helpful.Chef Dean was the kindest man, very professional, and did an impeccable job. I had the Otoro and Uni add on options and the quality of these were perfection, literally melt in your mouth. Everything was absolutely splendid, I definitely recommend Yatai Sushi for your sushi party needs! Thank you so much! &look forward to having them again.

Just had a party and called several companies. The last one that we contacted was not available and they recommended Yatai Sushi.They did a really nice job. Came on time, quick set up, great quality fish and tasty Sushi rice. They were very reasonable priced, half of my original quote.I fried up some spam and the sushi Chef kindly added that to the menu option. Really nice that he even made Chirashi bowls for some of my guests. Nice touch!At the two hour mark, he made platters of sushi with all the remaining ingredients.I would definitely use them again!

Sushi was delicious and top grade, but unfortunately the Brandon guy was pretty cold and hard to talk to. The minimal eye contact, annoyed terse replies, and zero smiles in the 90 minutes definitely negatively affected the atmosphere especially since we hired him for a very small dinner in our kitchen with some other family members. I cringed when I heard my mom trying to talk him up and ask him about himself. She was only trying to fill the weirdly tense void as he made rolls but ended up having to just kind of awkwardly stand there when he stopped replying to her. Brandon also came late meaning he also got set up late and wasn't apologetic at all. He came in jeans and didn't have the set-up like I see in other people's Yelp pics so I was a little let down because they looked really cool and we saved up a lot to afford this night. Anyway, I don't know if that guy had a bad day or something, but the undeniably negative attitude also made enjoying sushi (and even holding conversations with each other) that night very difficult. Sorry to say, but as someone who values customer service and expects at least cordial-level people skills (especially when big bucks like this are shelled out) I would definitely not recommend. Wish it could've been better and I hope it was a fluke night.

Had them for our college graduation party and the food was great but they ran out of food after an hour and a half even though it says all you can eat for 2 hours. However, we rehired them for our wedding and had no complaints!

I was lucky enough to get thrown a surprise birthday party this past weekend and my husband is so thoughtful and awesome that he hired Yatai Sushi to cater the event. It was amazing! Our sushi chef was great and a trooper because it was an outdoor party and the day was super hot! But he was very funny, explained what all his ingredients were, and just an all around stand up guy! The fish and shrimp was super fresh, I especially loved the ahi and salmon, two of my favorites, put together with just a touch of wasabi, crab meat and ikura. Everybody also enjoyed the spicy poke. My family are big sushi, nigiri eaters so they couldn't get enough of it. His setup was great, it reminded me of almost being at a restaurant and it was like the sushi was endless! What was even more cool was that he ended up giving us all the leftovers, but he prepared chirashi bowls with the extras, and I absolutely LOVE these little bowls of fishy goodness! My husband earned major points with having this vendor, and we can't wait to hire Yatai to join us at another special occasion. Who knows, we may not even need a reason to hire them!

Dean was our Sushi Chef, and he was awesome! He was very quick and professional, yet nice and accommodating! I made arrangements with Todd, and he was just as awesome! Would definitely use them again!

Awesome experience. Very affordable for the amount of people we had. The sushi chef came and set up about an hour before our event on time. He was very fast and attentive for our guest. Overall it was pretty fresh and delicious.
