The Chef Zone is great for food in smaller quantities, plus at times there are bargains in fresh vegetables and fruits. Staff are helpful and assistance, when you ask.

I emailed them to ask about inventory on an item they used to carry years ago. They never called or emailed me back. Too big. Too busy. Too important. Fuck y'all.

The people who wrote the 5 stars reviews are all employees of Y.Hata. I can't write anything nice of y.hata. The employees attitudes are terrible as there is no company's culture or standards to abide from. They are a numbers driven company with no care from the aina and the community. Looking into my crystal ball, you will lose more and more customers years to come. Good luck!

Pretty much for the commercial sector but you can walk in to the showroom and purchase food items like Costco style sizes. The Chicken pieces are pretty cheap and a lot of other things are too buy you need to know your prices as there are things that are more expensive than Costco. If you are looking for some commercial items like cups knives and such you can find these here the help is courteous but not really friendly as they pretty much keep to themselves unless you ask about something.

Theses guys and their noisy trucks in my neighborhood at 7:30am have no respect the residents they are disturbing, while making deliveries to properties other than ones they are parking in front of - tried respectfully asking the driver to turn the compressor while he's away from the truck and was told to call the cops. Tried contacting the company directly, no response - nice public relations Y-Hata - while your busy making money, you have no respect for the neighborhood your working in - in case these message gets through to someone, Lemon Rd, Waikiki

Y hata and co is one of the worst places I have every experienced. Thor food is so disgusting that it just makes me horrified just by looking at it. Well your company it's garbage. If you take down my review, you are oppressing my 1st amendment.

This company is socially irresponsible. They park their trucks with very noisy refrigeration equipment in front of our building and leave it running while they make their deliveries. This equipment is much louder from above than it is on the streets. After several complaint calls and notices posted on their drivers doors they continue to leave them running. I am now boycotting all products carried by them and the stores the deliver to.

If Top Chef came to my house and said I had 8 hours to build a restaurant, I would come here first. My wife had been dying to check this place out as she is quite an accomplished amateur chef. They have all the stuff you'd buy at a regular store, only in restaurant size.Need a gallon of A-1 Steak sauce? Look no further.Making pies for 100 people and need filling? Look no further.Need 10 lbs of frozen peeled avocados? Look no further. My highlight were the spices sold in bulk. Seemed like a pretty good deal if you can handle a pound of allspice. They also have a dazzling array of kitchen gadgets and supplies. I liked the mixing bowl that was about the size of a kids' pool. I bet you can marinate a whole pig in that thing. My wife lamented that she can buy many of the gadgets for the same cost or cheaper on Amazon or other kitchen places. She wound up buying a few squeeze bottles for her sauces. It seems like the customers here are exclusively in the restaurant biz, and we felt a little unwelcome walking around this busy warehouse. The first to cashiers we tried wanted nothing to do with us.The cashier who finally helped us was nice and apologetically stated "thanks for trying this place out." So next time you shop here and want optimal service, wear your puffy chef's hat and hold a cleaver.

I just discovered this amazing warehouse with my husband that recently started a food venue. They are well stocked from top to bottom on their shelves of restaurant appliances, containers, bins, serving ware, ladles, restaurant last minute shopping all in one place! A great variety of catalogs to choose serving trays, dishes, glassware, wine glasses, bowls, etc. Everything from Modern to Fancy! Great Sales Associates to do business with. My favorite dessert they had in the freezer was a assortment of cupcakes! They are 4 for $7.10 but in the Alley Restaurant they sell the cupckaes 4/$12. Delicious and worth every penny wherever you choose to buy! Goodies galore in this warehouse too! Huge assortment of flavored syrups for coffee carts, shaved ice carts, ice cream trucks, ice cream parlors...This is the wholesale of all the pounds of Hersheys chocolate syrup sold by bulk. You can find a lot here for your home or business! I will definitely come and shop here again in the NEAR future!

It was busy and hard work. Wonderful local company that tried to find the means to do more for their employees where they could. They need the public's support to survive. The workers at the Kauai location are lazy AF though & need to be fired.Within 2 years of working with them, I had $4000 plus in my 401k (rolled over to an IRA from being fired) that I could withdraw from in an emergency (you are federally taxed 12% for that if you make $9000-$40,000 in the year you withdraw if its rolled over to an IRA like my funds were).
