#ThankYouThursdayXin Wang Market is the first business I thought of to thank. I've been coming here for so many years ever since it opened. I'm always taken care of when I come here. The owners are always friendly and nice, and I always have a good experience and get what we I need and want.Of course during this pandemic, it's safer to stay home as much as possible, but you do need to get out once in a while to replenish the kitchen. I try to buy most of the things I need from here to support them.Coming to shop here did bring back some normalcy as opposed to eating the same fruit and vegetables from the Costco bulk size bags, so I'm grateful and thankful they've stayed open as much as they could during the peak times of the pandemic because it's an essential business. A lot of risk was taken during the early months as everyone just wore those blue disposable masks and some did not even wear masks at all. At least now, you have better masks, face shields, and have time to build dividers between the customers.Stay strong. Stay safe. Support local!

This is my go to in Chinatown for fresh produce at the best prices. Very wide assortment so you can get everything in one stop. They have a wide selection of sauces, dry noodles, pickled items. There is a refrigerated area. Staff is very nice and efficient at the cash stand.Cash only!

There are benefits when it comes to association with Chinese chefs. You learn the ins and outs of Chinatown and sometimes the gossip, too.In a recent conversation the discussion of seasonal items popped up and I was "unwillingly volunteered" to hunt for bittermelon. As a kid growing up I'd gag when forced to eat bittermelon on the dinner table at home. But as I grew older and started to branch out my taste buds "matured" and learned how to appreciate other flavors, which includes bitter.Out of 4 Chinese men 3 of them suggested my voluntary purchase of bittermelon at Xian Wang Market. Located just across the street of Oahu Market and Fong's Meat Market of the famous Chinese roast pork, this grocery store is your typical produce store of a large variety of vegetables, fruits, canned goods, dried goods and frozen items. My mission was to purchase bittermelon and found 2 types: premium and discounted. The discounted ones were about 50% off but they had visual blemishes. The premium produce had a nice color and firm. When paying they have 2 registers and primarily cash and EBT cards accepted. For the staff here English is not their native tongue. Don't be surprised for below-par service and elderly Chinese ladies making their way to the front when people are standing in line.Overall, very satisfied with the product. Walked away with fresh produce.NOTE: Remember to bring your eco-friendly shopping bag due to the plastic bag ban.

Don't shop here, the clerks short change you. No bargain if you get ripped off. I'm Chinese and shop for bargains. Gave them a $10 plus .26 so we would get $9 dollars back in change. Shuts the cash register and tells us we only gave her 1.26. She did this to another couple before us. No, not worth anything to shop here. Ruins the whole chinatown shopping experience.

Great grocery. I didn't go to it much because..it was a full block farther than my usual joint lol. However, I'm going to make a point to come more often because the produce is really fresh, even more so than my usual place. I've had Thai basil in my fridge for almost two weeks with minimal decay. Prices are good and they have a wide selection of goods. Only crap thing is that they close around 4:30 ARRRRRGH. I ran into the store today they told me I could buy sundries but they had already put the produce away, which was EXACTLY what I was there for. They also have garlic chive flowers, which are harder to find in Chinatown.
