The kids love it!! Classes are held once a week at the Aloha Dancesport Center on Ward Avenue across Ohana Marketplace (old Sports Authority). The dance studio is nice, large and clean. They have hip hop and jazz classes for all ages. The teachers are great choreographers and travel for workshops. Three of the kids (middle school) won the overall Diamond award at the 2018 Sportlight dance cup this year. I think that's pretty awesome since they were competing against older kids. There are usually two performances a year for the regular classes. You can also try out for the dance team. The school has grown a lot this past year. There are all levels of dancers in the classes so you shouldn't hesitate to try it if you love to dance.

This studio was formerly X-Factor Dance Studio till Dec 2011. So glad that it's continuing under Ms. Emily's great direction -- with many of the same great instructors and students. As a parent, I like that I can see what my daughter is learning. The studio rents space on Saturdays from a ballroom dance studio so there are a lot of tables and chairs around the perimeter of the classroom. Parking is easy. The studio's culture is very friendly. And the end-of-semester show at Ala Moana Center is always a blast.

This was the first time taking hip hop dance lessons and the instructors and owner was very welcoming! They taught me a lot and made dance fun. Ms. Emily and Mr. Jacob made classes easy to learn and at the same time they have very entertaining personalities. Of course my shyness went out the door when we had to perform in public! They also included stretching and exercise to their routines. They became like family to me and the rest of the members. I always looked forward to Saturdays and the loud hip hop music. The fees were on target and parking was easy. I wish I had more time to take lessons, but as a mom I have my boys sports too! If you have a chance, check out this studio! There's a lot of talent here!

We love the family atmosphere at Xstatic Dance. Teachers Jacob, Emily, Becca, & Nalani are exceptional mentors. Jacob is a natural comic, so his class is a like a dance class/comedy show. Very entertaining. In addition, older students welcome and nurture the younger students. My daughter looks forward to hip hop every Saturday. I recently had her rank all the activities she's had a chance to try. Given the plethora of opportunities children are offered these days, dance at Xstatic ranks astronomically in her view. Come and experience the fun!

If you had asked me a little over a month ago I would have told you that this dance studio was wonderful however, despite the quality of dance being taught, this no longer how I feel. During class Becca, who I actually feel is a gifted teacher, turned to the students to comment on a song she played for them to dance to. As she spoke about the song and how much she loved it she began to describe the meaning of the words and how the song was about suicide and how we all feel down sometimes. I couldn't believe what I was hearing her say to a class filled with 16-4 year olds. Just to be clear, it was as inappropriate as if she had brought up the subject of sex. We bring our children to the studio to learn dance not to be exposed to the subject of killing ones self. So disappointed.
