Winter Wonderland Honolulu

The Winter Wonderland pop-up bar at Ala Moana is a holiday treat! Located in the former Surfer's Bakery spot between The Vitamin Shoppe and Meet Fresh, this year's setup was better than last year's, with more decorations and adorable holiday photo opportunities that really brought the festive cheer.I tried the Candy Cane Hot Cocoa made with RumChata Peppermint Bark and hot chocolate, topped with mini marshmallows and a candy cane. It was as delicious as it was festive. The presentation was super cute and perfect for the season.The workers were friendly and welcoming, adding to the cozy and cheerful atmosphere. Whether you're there for a festive drink or to snap some cute holiday photos, this pop-up delivers on spreading holiday joy. I'll definitely be back next year to see how they top it!

Another Christmas, another holiday themed pop-up bar. The same guys who brought us Alpha Video and the Halloween bar (for better or for worse) are back at it again with a Christmas themed bar. They're very good at decorating and themes, but less so at actually being a respectable bar. So if you're going for the décor, this place is great as it's decorated to the nines, super festive, and absolutely great from that aspect. Instagram influencers will be all over this place. If you're going for the booze, less so. My partner and I got holiday nogs, which was mostly ice, some eggnog, and a okay amount of booze for $15. Relatively smooth drinking, but I can also make a healthier, tastier, way more boozy version without all the ice for a tiny fraction of the price. Yes, I know going out to drink is expensive, but not exactly impressed here with the alcohol. I do have to note there is more seating than at their other themed bar, which is nice and being in the mall in the now shuttered Surfer's Bakery on the ground level of Ala Moana, parking isn't an issue, even during Christmas. Staff are polite, efficient. Oh, they don't have tap water and will charge you $2 for bottled water. You can make reservations for larger groups. 3.5 stars.

This place is so cute. It's so conveniently located at Ala Moana too. It's downstairs near Meet Fresh. The decor is amazing and so festive! The drinks were really good also. The hot chocolate was peppermint and rich and was so good. The butterbeer was sweet and tasty.Such a great place to come with friends to get in the holiday spirit!

We were greeted at the door, sat right away. They took pictures of us. Everybody was friendly and kind. They had a set menu with drinks with alcohol and a few non-alcoholic. The only food they offered was popcorn. The tables a set up was ok but it was Cutely decorated. This is a pop-up.. I give it a 4 out of 5 .

This was cool. Service was good and attentive. The issue is that it's not really a place to relax and drink because it's so busy and they have so many people waiting (at least after 9pm) so the servers really push drinks because it's almost like if your not gonna drink then you need to give up that valuable real estate. My party and I had never been to a holiday bar so we just wanted to chill and make our way slowly down the list. The server very nicely threw hints, and by the third "anything else" we gave up the table because we wanted a more chill environment. The decorations are cute, drinks were ok, I wouldn't return but it was nice to experience it. Ps. Bathroom is filthy and was out of hand soap. Bring your hand sanitizer just in case!

Gave it a 3 because there was a huge line and after emailing them over a week ago, someone finally responded a week later saying they don't take reservations. We probably waited for over 30 minutes for a table for 7. It would be great if they can take reservations. You can also go in to just stand around the bar area but you will have to remain standing for the rest of the night even if a table becomes open. (At least if there is a line outside)In terms of drinks, alcoholic drinks average around $15 per drink and non-alcoholic ones are around $6. Not bad but definitely don't expect high quality drinks. My double maple old fashion was just mediocre. Definitely did not taste the maple or any sorts of citrus. The harder's butter beer slush was interesting with a hint of butter beer flavor but if you are looking for something that tastes like the Harry Potter butter beer...this is a a more diluted version of that. Not bad though.

This place was a fun time! The decorations are really cute and festive. We had a party of 19 and the host was super nice and friendly when accommodating us. Some of the drinks were pretty sweet so beware if the sugar gives you headaches! And they offer shot skis so it's the perfect place to down some shots with your friends. Also our server was nice enough to give me a free second drink after I spilled the first one all over myself lol.

Overpriced for what you're getting and to be ignored the entire time you're here. It's so unfortunate this place has so much potential but the service is like they never do rounds of checking on people it's the same they treat people at the Halloween bar and alpha video. It's just sad and I feel like it doesn't hurt to wander the room and check on people. We went at opening and they came to us once and got our order and that's it. An hour later I had to go up and pay my bill. They never even came back to tell me popcorn wasn't available. They only have one snack on the menu and at opening on a Saturday night they night they don't have any? It's just so weird it comes off as a cash grab I didn't give them anymore money we wanted a shot but no one came back around to ask us for more orders. It's so beautiful inside the decorating and ambiance is gorg but go to tikis and don't waste your time here! Trust me!!!

Very bad experience. They closed an hour early. And by closed, I mean there was customers inside but the wouldn't open the door, or even explain what was going on. Did they do last call an hour early and lock the doors? Don't waste your time coming down here. The decor looks like shit too, and the drinks look cheep and served in plastic disposable cups. What a let down.
