Why'z is this truck a mystery for me!?My first time seeing this truck parked at the beginning part (Lewer's St end) of Waikiki's Endless Summer Festival boasting in "Locolicious home style cook'in" it did pique my interest though I decided to browse first to see what this massive block party has to offer. After walking the entire fest and basically quenched my thirst and some local items I found myself back at Why'z and decided to see what 's on the menu. They don't seem to have an Instagram or Facebook account but hey here they are on Yelp woohoo!!! From what I see is that they have every type of comfort foods from Lasagna to Huli Huli Chicken plates though probably for convenience tonight's menu are four sandwiches to choose from.- Prime Pastrami & Mushrooms (Pastrami, mushrooms, mayo, mustard & melted Swiss)- Prime cheesesteak & onions (thin sliced ribeye, grilled peppers & onion, melted Swiss)- Crazy Kalua Pork & Cheddar (mayo, bbq sauce, pineapple & melted cheddar)- Prime Steak Au Jus (Thinly slices ribeye & au jus)They already sold me on all items the mushrooms did tilt the drool zone further so it was Prime Pastrami & Mushrooms....yum!!!! This massive bite was quite a handful filled with the load of pastrami and mushrooms all tangled with melted Swiss mess was a beautiful sight. There was a slight wait and with the kindness help from Ronnie's I did get my sammie in Ronnie's bag so it was an easy carry as obviously there are no seating provided though luckily they were right besides the Royal Hawaiian SC and it does have a lot of seating scattered everywhere which made it nice.I could only finish have so the rest was saved for lunch tomorrow, just wished they cut the sandwich in half on some sort of vessel instead of just that one massive sammie lightly wrapped in paper and foil making the transport tricky especially if you got your hands full. If certainly was hearty though I'd love to try their locolicious items at the usual airport area location I guess? Really wish they have an Instagram so that we can find them easier but then again they prefer to keep themselves on the down low...Thank you!

Haven't tried the sandwiches, but got the chicken and it was mostly just soggy skin, very salty and dry. The max salad was literally just mayo. I think he was just pushing some of his already cooked options that were not very good, also tore my stomach up, don't recommend

pretty standard home-cooked style plate lunch. while they dont have any social media or online presence (that i can tell) to find their menu/specials for the day, they can text you the menu in the morning. that way you can order in advance and pick it up when you're ready for lunch, and not have to wait. so super convenient!food is pretty tasty and they give quite a bit. much better pricing than zippys. def on the cheaper side as far as plate lunches go!when we're working at the airport we always go there for lunch. only place we eat now!

Monday thru Friday from 1000 - 1100 AM, the big green Why'z truck is parked at the airport car rental area across the street from the overseas baggage claim. We know that good food takes time and we know how much people LOVE the ono grindz here and the reasonable prices so we call in our orders to help the brudduhs out who strive to please their crowd! Sure the wait can be bothersome for those who are impatient, but if you can make it work around your schedule and afford the guys enough time to perfect your dish, they will not disappoint!! **I've read some of the few star ratings and most was complaining about the wait yet still enjoyed some of the portions, had they not felt rushed I'm sure every portion would've been awesome.**I work at the airport and frequent the truck on weekdays. The guys send us a menu for the day and we submit a group order ahead of time so that when we break for lunch, our order is hot and ready! At times when it gets really busy, we wait a bit more but totally understandable. It's typically just the 2 brudduhs working the truck and they work hard to bring their best. Every different entree I have tried was delicious, their sandwiches are big and tasty, the guys are friendly and since the government shutdown they offer the federal workers credit. Our CBP, TSA, and USDA families at the airport impacted by the shutdown can still enjoy a good meal until the White House pays back what is owed. Big hearts these guys!Mahalo plenty for the hospitality and kanak attacks Why'z!!! We all appreciate you!

Awesome Food, Portion & Prices!!! Personally, I feel their best dish (Should be their "Signature dish") is the Sriracha Ahi! Huge thick cut of Ahi w/ Sriracha Aoili Panko Bread crumb & Furikake seasoning. Delicious!!! 5 Star Dish!!!

Just recently tried this lunchwagon in Mapunapuna..It's.outward appearance seems to be a pretty clean operation. I believe they make the food to order so it's hot and fresh. I initially ordered the hot roast beef sandwhich but they said they were out of mashed potatoes which would lead meto believe we are definetely not their first stop and also that their turkey and roast beef sandwhiches must be popular. My second choice was their pastrami sandwhich. I had to wait about 5 min which was no prob and wasn't slow or fast. The pastrami sandwhich consisted 9" inch frenchbread with nice iceberg ( I think) lettuce onions and pastrami ( I ordered mine without mayo or mustard). It wasn't bad for $6.00 not good nor bad but good enough that I will definetely be open to try other stuff they have on the menu.
