It's Filipino tradition to release doves at our wedding. I had my wedding planner search for dove releases in Oahu. It took quite some time. Luckily, she was able to find Maureen! She offered either 2 or 12 doves. There's nothing in between, just those 2 options. For our wedding, 2 doves is all we need. The price that she quoted was reasonable, which is why we decided to go with her. She doesn't respond to e-mail that quick, but she is great on the phone. My planner is the one who deals with her directly. This is the sense that I get from their communication. She doesn't accept credit card, just check. I just decided to hire her, and I am sending off the check in the mail today. UPDATE: The doves were at my wedding in time for our ceremony, and we were able to have them be part of our ceremony. My wedding planner was able to connect with them to make all of this seamless. During the ceremony, they patiently waited to the side, and when the time came for us to release the doves, they instructed us on how to do it! I have no complaints. Everything was perfect and beautiful!

Booking from Australia, contacted White Doves of Koolau through their website and dealt with Maureen via email. Was easy to deal with, provided timely responses and understood what our requirements were. When it came to payment we were unable to pay online or via the phone, we arranged for our wedding coordinator based in Hawaii to make a cheque payment. We ended up booking a pair of doves for our wedding on the North Shore and they turned up on time and were released after our nuptials. The doves did a quick loop around our venue and flew back home. Very pleased with the service, would recommend them.

Many years ago we were shooting video of a wedding when we witnessed the couple releasing 2 white doves from a beautifully decorated basket. It was just stunning! We found out it the company was White Doves of Koolau, I contacted Maureen and Dennis and we began offering their dove releases to our clients. We go back several decades now, and they have never disappointed. They raise the birds and love them like their own children. We love Maureen and Dennis for the kind and generous people they are and even if one or more of them are under the weather, they still show up on time and with beautiful birds, ready to fly into the sky when the couple opens the basket, delighting everyone present. Maureen once had to actually wrangle two birds for me for a last minute wedding when Dennis was across the island and she not only caught them and put them in the basket, but she arrived half an hour early despite rush hour traffic. This couple goes above and beyond for their clients and I am just writing this review to say Mahalo to them for their many years of impeccable service and cherished friendship.
