This team is just fabulous! I'd definitely give them more than 5 stars because my photographer went above and beyond the norm. I had a special shoot request for my business and social media. I received my professional photos within 12 hours!!! Jannis was so wonderful to work with and made me feel comfortable in front of the camera while giving me direction (which I really wanted). Her understanding of lighting, focus, and direction really comes through in each of my photos. I wanted very natural looking shots and she mailed it! She reached out to reconfirm before the day of the shoot, followed through, and over delivered! I'd highly recommend this team.

We weren't sure about hiring a videographer to begin with but after speaking with Jorge I was completely sold. I was nervous about hiring certain vendors being that we are a same sex couple but he made us feel very comfortable as if I were speaking with a friend. The day of the wedding they were very professional and were very relaxed. I've seen other reviews of videographers being too intrusive and in the way but not them! They worked around us and gave us great direction when they wanted a specific shot. When we got our video recap I was just amazed! First and foremost can I just say weddings are expensive & stressful. As if planning my own wedding wasn't enough stress my original videographer (a family friend) cancelled on me 2 weeks before my wedding (I wanted to kill him!). Thank god our friends who got married before us recommended us to "Hawaii Pono Video." At first we thought for sure they were going to be booked but my now husband was just like call them and ask (mind you this was at like 9 pm). Jorge was super nice and friendly over the phone and was so flexible around our schedule to set up a meeting within the week. Talk about life saver they were free the day of our wedding to do our videography which was very important to us to have. I mean come on who doesn't want to watch their wedding over and over again? Cake I could live without but my wedding video of memories I can't! When we met up with Jorge and his wife they were extremely nice and most importantly patient and understanding. They worked with us on pricing because my husband and I couldn't agree on certain things. I wanted a same day edit and he wanted drone footage and Jorge worked it out with us so we could both get what we wanted at a very affordable price especially on such short notice. They were a breeze to work with. The day of the wedding came and I liked that there was three people on there team getting all different types of angles, views, perspectives and whatever you want to call it. They were all polite and professional. I was a little disappointed in my same day edit as it only reflected my ceremony and not us getting ready but I can't complain because our timeline was off and we did hire them on such short notice and we didn't really voice our expectations so I'm not mad. I really appreciate them taking on our wedding with only 2 week notice. Lastly our video came out amazing and I love it I also love how they put it on YouTube so it's easy for me to share on my FB and I could add the link in bio on my IG! I just wish I would have gotten a hard copy instead of the video emailed to me. But I loved working with them! I highly recommend Hawaii Pono Weddings. My husband and I hired them to capture our wedding in July of 2019 at the Halekulani in Waikiki. The team's attention to detail was excellent. They really took the time to listen to what we wanted and went over a few times to edit everything exactly to what we were hoping for. If you are considering getting a video done, Hawaii Pono is worth every penny. They were also very kind people and easy to interact with on the Wedding day; this is so important because if you do not have a connection and feel comfortable with your photographer/videographer, you may be disappointed with the results. They are very patient and professional. I would give them more stars if I could! They are absolutely lovely!

Jannis and Jorge are amazing people to get to know. We were just business clients but now we are friends. Finding the right person to capture moments out of our Hindu wedding was challenge but with Hawaii Pono it was not only best fit our needs but was blown away with their Bollywood style cinematography. Our wedding videos turned out amazing and so did our photos in highest quality and very artistic. Yannis is talented, easy to work with, and well-prepared before the wedding day. She asked us about our opinions and toured the venue with us during rehearsal. We are deeply touched by the final video which combines our Chinese culture and Western ceremonies.

These 2 are life savers. My planned wedding videographer dropped out 26 hours before the wedding. They stepped up big time the whole wedding. If you want quality products mixed with quality people these are your people.

We used Wedding Film Hawaii for our daughter's wedding at Turtle Bay in June. Jannis and Jorge were such a pleasure to work with. They were responsive and available prior to our arrival in Oahu. It's always tricky to contract with vendors who you do not know and have not met, however Jannis and Jorge were exactly what we hoped for-professional, flexible, and delightful to work with. On the day of the wedding they arrived early and worked beautifully with the bridal party and our guests. They had creative and inspiring ideas. The video of the wedding arrived yesterday and we are all just thrilled with the final product.
