Restaurants and office spaces in Honolulu, Hawaii...This venue used to be called Restaurant Row. When it first opened, it was quite popular. I think there was a movie theater chain here?Back in the day, there were dancing/bar/lounge types of places like Studebaker's and Nocturna Lounge. I don't think there's anything like those bars now.Currently, there are new eateries such as The Porch, Aloha Mamacita, @sushi, and Carval Cafe. Ruth's Chris Steak House and The Row Bar (outdoor seating) were maybe always here?Anyway, just remember to get your parking ticket validated. I would have had to pay $18 for 3 hours without validation. Instead, I just paid $3.Thank goodness!

Keeping it all in downtown...Once called Restaurant Row as it was home to many high end restaurants and bars it has gone thought various difficulty but has hung on and is now known as Waterfront Plaza. Located at the edge of downtown close but without any water feature around it can be convenient as it has a huge parking garage just be sure that you're coming here to a place that will validate or it will be $3 for every 30 minutes which can hurt and not be worth the effort.I've come here for various reasons whether to grab a bite or sip at the bar Waterfront Plaza is the gathering place along with getting your medical needs as well there are different building sections that can get confusing but upkeep at this run down building is one of their biggest challenge...the other is restroom as understandably is locked up and is right beside the security office that will buzz you in...that's downtown.Thank you!

This place was originally called restaurant row. Never knew it changed its name until I was looking it up here on yelp. Several decades ago it used to be booming with people at night when they had studebakers, then turned into a different disco, and now, not sure what took over, but now there are only a few restaurants like carval Cafe, subway, a Korean and poke restaurant, Ruth Chris, wiki wiki, etc. and the row right in the middle for drinking. The restaurants constantly change here, maybe because of the high rent plus a percentage of profit, or the rumours are true of it being built on a pile of bones from ancient times that the area is haunted and stores cannot sustain income. HPU has also moved in here as well as a DLS, but only one person, so take your chances if you are a hard stick like I am.This is basically the only option to meet my friends that work nearby for lunch here because a few of the restaurants are decent and they have validated parking up to 2.5 hours if you buy a certain amount for lunch, and there are open round tables with umbrellas to hold a group of people, and I can quietly write my yelp reviews on here or just browse on my phone without anyone bothering me while I wait for them to arrive. If only they added Starbucks, a coffee shop or a Boba tea store, it would be more attractive for me to visit here more often, and keep the students happy since HPU moved in.Lots of parking inside and metered parking outside.

I remember when this place used to be called Restaurant Row. Oceans was here and my friends and I would go clubbing every Thursday nights. They used to also have the dollar theater here. Times have surely changed. Those places are now gone. The Row Bar and Ruth Chris Steakhouse are long time tenants. They've been here forever. Hokulani Bake Shop and Aloha Mamacita are here also. They have random businesses in the towers. A lot of pharmaceutical and medical businesses are located here. Hawaii Pacific University and the Star Advertiser are also here.

I frequently visit Waterfront Plaza for the restaurants, coin shop, and medical offices. I appreciate how clean and safe it is here. As a senior it's hard to find a comfortable place to eat and shop. The security and parking staff is always friendly and I get a parking sticker that covers my parking cost. There are convenient restrooms and elevators so I'm not trudging up stairs. I love bringing my Grandson to the coin store. Always fun! Ruth's Chris restaurant is one of our favorites. There's a good selection of places to eat.

This is a wonderful spot to take a break. Looking at my map app, I figured that I could walk a distance that turned out to be much further than I thought. So, I was actually going to take the time to stop at a Ruth Chris steak house that is housed there. Unfortunately, they didn't open for another hour and a half (no lunchtime service). So, I had walked so far that I was going to wait. And wait, I did. But I found another places and decided to walk there. But this was a comfy spot for people watching and they had a lot of tables in the shade. There are five buildings and there are "restaurantish" type places here but none had what I was looking for, other than the steak. I left with about 45 minutes to spare, because I got a bum tip that there were some hot dogs that came with gluten free buns. That turned out not to be true, but I was introduced to a super cute place that housed said hot dog venue, so it was all good. But, to wait here and watch people and enter yet another ultra clean restroom, was just fine by me.

Waterfront Plaza used to be called Restaurant Row when it mostly consisted of restaurants and bars. A lot of the restaurants have turned over and now it's a mix of restaurants/eateries and other types of businesses. Recently some doctors offices have relocated to Waterfront Plaza. We came down here as my dad recently started seeing a new physician who relocated his office here. Parking is plentiful, and free with validation. Make sure you get the validation as parking can be very expensive without it. They have a new automated system in which you can pay for your parking, or see if there is any parking fee after validation prior to going to your car. Much more convenient and hassle free.

I didn't know there were multiple entrances until I read the yelp reviews lol but I entered through the South Street entrance and appreciated that there were clearly marked P signs along the way. Lots of parking spaces open (COVID-19). The lot is huge and I did get lost, and it was a little dingy. Got my parking validated for 3 hours at Vino. There was one map, but it was super difficult to read so I ended up asking one of the security officers for directions.

I feel like the businesses at Restaurant Row always have a difficult time staying in business.Right now, I go to Restaurant Row for Nocturna and Hokulani. Sometimes I'll go to Bonsai for an event, but that's about it. I sure hope businesses find a way to flourish there....Yelp 365 Challenge #73/365

Parking rate is ridiculously costly. For a business session at SBA and with no validation provided, we paid $48 for parking. I thought this was insane. Would suggest alternate parking elsewhere. Mind you, we came from outer island for the session.
