Lots of selections of great stores and restaurants to choose from. We don't live in Waipio but we always frequent Foodland, which carries just about everything we need. Jade Chinese restaurant has the BEST hands down Char Siu and hot sour soup! We eat there fairly often and it's nice when the owners recognize us. Thai village is the best Thai restaurant ever & only Thai restaurant that makes Pad Woon Sen the way I like it. Big City Diner has lots of great choices, Outback is our family's go to for steak and Aussie fries , Taco Bell, Loco Moco, Karen's and especially Dave's ice cream. Now they have Teapresso there and my co workers always go for a boba run during lunch. I don't think I've had any bad service at any of the stores or restaurants there. I also work super close by so this place is always a great go to for my co workers and I when we need to grab lunch or need a quick item or two and the prices are pretty reasonable!

This strip mall has been my stomping ground for 30+ years. It has changed a lot over that time. Perhaps it's just nostalgia but I still miss when they had the video store here next to Dave's Ice Cream, and then later when they had a Blockbuster offering 3 DVDs for $20. I still love this place as I haven't moved far from my childhood home, and still stop by here at least once a week. It is so convenient for grocery shopping at Foodland, grabbing a quick icee from the gas station, or getting take out from Thai Village or Jade Garden. Although I do wish they had more eatery options instead of more service businesses.

When I go to Mililani via public transit (aka TheBus), I usually go through Waipio and Waikele area. It's usually a residential subdivision nestled in between Mililani and Pearl City, but probably one reason and one reason only that would compel me to come to Waipio and check out the scene. Well, two things actually. One is because of Yelp. It helps me to see things I don't normally see when I'm out and about, on the road, and just living life to the fullest. The other is due to the 2016 Pokemon Go craze, which lead me to the Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park to catch them all. Or at least try to anyway.I noticed on my Google Maps app that there is a cute little strip mall literally across the street from the Central Oahu Regional Park, so I decided to check out the scene, as it was known to be. It was a brisk Sunday afternoon and the haze of going back to work the next morning was clearly evident. I decided to make the most of it and had fun here. Waipio isn't normally where you would go for fun while adventuring in central Oahu, but it's a residential shopping mall destination many residents and locals come to run errands, shop, and have a bite to eat. There are a few restaurants here, as well as other merchants who do business in the area. Among other restaurant dining options to have here are: Jack in the Box, Loco Moco Drive Inn, and Taco Bell are the fast food favorites. There are restaurants here, such as Thai Village, Nancy's Kitchen, Alcupulco Mexican restaurant, and Big City Diner. I didn't know that there was an Outback Steakhouse located here in Waipio, but now I know. The Waipio shopping center is kind of like Koko Marina shopping center and Hawaii Kai town center (without Costco).Foodland stands as the premiere anchor to the Waipio Shopping center. There's a cute ice cream parlor too here, although the sign said Cash only!, which is kind of a drag for those of us who love using credit cards. There's even a church here, as well as an office building, which houses Century 21 real estate, State Farm insurance, H&R Block Tax services, and a couple of financial lenders and services. The Waipio Shopping Center is located conviently in Waipio, on the main highway connector 99, off Farrington Hwy and H-2 traveling towards Mililani. Pretty much Uke'e Street runs parallel to this highway, so you can find it across the street from the Central Oahu Regional Park. Being that this is a shopping center, there are plenty of parking spaces here for y'all to park here and do business here. If you are like me, TheBus route 62 from downtown Honolulu usually takes me right up to the shopping center. Many merchants here accepts credit cards, so that shouldn't be a problem for many. There's also a gas station (Aloha Gas) on property, so that's always a good destination spot to fill on up. While Waipio can be a quite a quiet area to shop and have fun, its what residents come to love about the Waipio shopping center.I felt like this open air shopping mall is good for what it has. There's many eateries for your dining options and Foodland for your grocery needs. It's truly your everyday destination when you live in the area and you don't really need to go to Waipahu, Pearl City, or Mililani, unless you're looking for something specific. It's definitely the one to shop at when you don't want to go out of your way to other places when pretty much everything is right here in Waipio. Although there's a McDonald's located right up the street, pretty much everything else is situated here at the shopping center. You can't lose though! The overall experience here was usually of gratitude and general happiness. The fact that practically anything and everything minus Costco, it can be found here. Prices here are pretty competitive here and worth your time and energy spent here. Freshness is the key with many merchants who deal with food. Professionalism and great customer service is key when you're dealing with real estate and other financial services. While you would have to go to Mililani or Pearlridge center to take in a movie, 95% of your time shopping and discovering can be done here in Waipio shopping center. It's a destinatation shopping center, that's locally owned, and a benefit and asset for the people who live and work in Waipio and surrounding communities.4.5 stars for sho. You can get your high end options on in Waikele or Ala Moana.Support local!A-

It would be easy to plan one's life using only this shopping center. Foodland, Blockbusters, and a Calvery Chapel (church) are the big spots space wise, but the center also has many restaurants, a vet, a few doctor's offices, a bank, a dry cleaner, and a gas station. Really everything most families could ask for in a normal week. The restaurants range from fast food (Jack in the Box, Taco bell, Pizza Hut, Chopsticks Express) to local (Nancy's Kitchen, Big City Diner) all the way to Mexican (skip this one!), Thai, and even a steakhouse (Outback).Well placed and with plenty of parking, this is a great central shopping area for this bedroom community.

A small shopping center for necessary items or need professional service, such as:If you need groceries, there's a foodland, and if you need money, ASB in it.If you need a mammogram, they are very professional and the wait is short. If you need a haircut, Floras is reasonable, personable and have experienced hairdressers. If you need any medical assistance, there are a few offices to visit. If you're hungry, there' s pizza hut, outback, jack in the box, waipio Chinese restaurant, Big city diner, etc. If you're craving for dessert, Dave's icecream has different items to choose from. and, if you want to donate, there's a goodwill kiosk willing to accept your items.Plus there are a few other stores and a church I can't remember at the moment, it's very convenient with lots of parking if you're in the area. However, I wish they would add a cvs to make it more complete, then I 'd definitely shop there much more often.

If you live Waipio, odds are you are here 5 or 6 days out of the week. Whether its dining at a restaurant, grabbing groceries at Foodland, renting movies, taking your pet to the vet or putting gas!!... You get majority of your needs in a quick drive (or walk) down to the shopping center. For many years, I'd say atleast 21 years.. I've been coming here for everything. Mostly Foodland. This Foodland has a great and friendly staff, it's very clean and stocked well 9/10 times. If they're out of something, it's probably because it was on sale. There's also a bank and RedBox located inside. The shopping center has many restaurants of different styles too. Fast food, casual dining, Dave's Ice Cream, and more.On Sundays, the shopping center is extra busy for church. And during football season, you can find many locals at Big City Diner, Outback Steakhouse, or Nancy's Kitchen.I could go on and on but you get the idea. This place is great!

Whatever you want to eat, you can eat it here. Thai, Hawaiian, local, plate lunch, Chinese, fast food, Mexican... the only thing they need here is sushi. You can also get your groceries at Foodland. There is also a bank, a vet, a gas station, dry cleaners, a church, insurance companies, dental offices, a USPS blue drop box, and nail and hair salons. Pwhew! My favorite is Outback Steakhouse...and walking distance from my house! Super score!

I have recently moved to Waipio and well I think I come to this shopping center everyday. You can get mostly everything here. I usually come here for Foodland, Dave's ice cream, Jade's Chinese restaurant, Aloha Gas station, and goodwill donation center. I might go to a few other places but you get the idea. Its a big open shopping center, parking lot is pretty good. This place is awesome to come and shop!
