Waipahu Shopping Plaza comprises of three, or four buildings. Depending on how you count them. Throughout the years, the tenants have changed. The most recent is Far East Sushi and Seafood. Itt replaced the age-old Chinese restaurant Far East Chop Suey.Other major tenants are Savers and Pacific Market. Enjoy

Nice little shopping place in Waipahu. There are many shops and restaurants here with plenty of parking. The largest shop would be the Pacific Supermarket.

You could tell when something's just part of the landscape, I think. Just because it's there doesn't make it someplace to go to, unless you really need to be there. Some spots are like that here on Oahu. I just have found one more to add to that list and it comes in the form of a shopping plaza in Waipahu. Not that's anything bad, but this shopping plaza has seen better days and it's one of those places where you have your local restaurants and eateries, and an eclectic mix of businesses that make up this commercial cul-de-sac that seems to do its own thing on most days of the week. I did enjoy going into Savers though, as being a budget conscious individual, it's always great to have such a store to go to. The Waipahu shopping plaza isn't a place that you would go to, unless you have business here. There's no Starbucks here or a major anchor tenant here, unless you count Savers as its anchor tenant. I hung around here on a recent March 2017 weekend and felt a little out of place. Max of Manilla and Jollibee are here at the shopping plaza, although they are situated next to Farrington Highway for ease and accessibility. Red Ribbon Bakery is also here in the heart of the shopping plaza. The handful of small businesses that are here are an interesting mix of laundromats, barbers, dentists, etc. You can do your banking here at the American Savings Bank too, if you have an account with them. Longs Drug store is always a favorite among locals, so it's here for your daily shopping needs. The overall experience here at the Waipahu Shopping Plaza can be described as being average and it provides you with the basics you need to go about life with whatever you need. The fast food options here can keep you well fed, Longs and Savers help you with your shopping needs, and the others are there for your convenience, if you need their services. I must have spent about 2 hours here on a Sunday afternoon before moving on. It was nice to walk around to check this place out and to see what's over here. It's not a fancy mall by any means, but it's conveniently located for anyone who lives and/or works in Waipahu. The Waipahu Shopping Plaza is located at 94-300 Farrington Highway, in the heart of Waipahu town. A handful of merchants here accept credit card payments, so that's always a good thing and there is an ATM always nearby somewhere. There is plenty of parking for y'all who drive, but best bet is to get here while it's not so crazy, so you can get a prime parking spot before the crunch happens. If you are like me, TheBus routes 40, 42, Express "E" are among the routes coming through Waipahu town from downtown Honolulu and Ala Moana shopping Center. For what it's worth though, this place has seen better days and while this place does serve its purpose with the community at large, I feel like this place might benefit from some renovation work of some scope. It doesn't have to be massive, just something to revitalize it a little bit, just so that it invites more people to come there on a regular basis. The parking options here are not adequate at certain parts of the day, which is disheartening, as most malls are during lunch time and dinner time. This shopping plaza certainly does have its mix of Filipino retail establishments though. Whatever you are feeling at the time, fast food options are a good plus to enjoy. Taco Bell + halo halo can be a good combination. Golden Coin is also a good option, although I haven't been in one yet. Always next time for that. Hidden gems are always around, you just might find yours here in Waipahu shopping plaza. For me though, I ended up getting some snacks at Taco Bell before getting back on TheBus back into town that Sunday.3.0 stars. Just average. It's open air strip mall pretty much. No Starbucks. No wifi.Support local!C+

Come to the plaza if you need, ethnic Pacific food, jewelry, dental work, your hair and nails done, medical care, want to pawn something, rent electronics, or Filipino fast food! On the weekends, parking can be crazy! During the week, not to bad!

This shopping plaza is pretty much a Pinoy haven right in the heart of Waipahu. First of all you got the almighty Jollibee/Red Ribbon, then you got Pacific Supermarket, Golden Coin, and Max's of Manila all in the same vicinity of each other! So you pretty much got all of the Filipino food super powers all located right next to each other. Then you got some other small businesses such as laundromats, Chinese, barbers, dentists, Savers, etc. There is choke parking and it is quite spacious but can get crowded during weekends and busy times. I pretty much come here weekly because of Jollibee/Red Ribbon even though I don't live in Waipahu. There's multiple entrances in the front, side, and back of the shopping plaza. They gate off the front (Farrington Highway) and back (near apartments) during after hours at night usually around 9PM so the only way to exit is from the side by the gas station. There's also a bus stop which stops right in front of the shopping plaza if you ever need to take bus there. Yelp 365 Challenge #58/365

We enjoyed our afternoon milling around. Lots of interesting things. There's a small food court inside Don Quijote. Filipino, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine which are all very busy at lunchtime.
