Waipahu Bicycle & Sporting

All the years I've been going to oahu and never heard of this store. Its now my favorite fishing store to go to. Plus if I hungry for philipino food the market is right next door.

Purchased a gift certificate for Christmas! You need to park in back of the store and walk to the front (unless you find street parking). As i walked in i was greeted by someone at the cash register. He asked what i was looking for to help me out. He wrote out my gift certificate and i paid for it. I literally was in and out. They have a lot of fishing items and other things.

Serviced my reel and they get it serviced fast. Went on a Tuesday to get it serviced and they will give you a card that you will later show when picking up. They'll call you when it's ready for pick up. It was Wednesday and it was ready for pick up and I was surprised how fast it was done. The best part is that it was only 30 and I was able to get a 40# test spooled for me no charge since I bought the line there. The reel also looks great and looks like new again and feels new. Definitely my go to when it comes to servicing

I like this place, they have the cheapest weights! I don't understand why people are writing about someone's personality or customers service, it a fishing supply store. If you're looking for a touchy-feeling place, hook up with jerry Springer!

As a kid growing up in Waipahu in the 60's we use to stop in this store all the time. Buster, who was the owner, was the best. He knew his stuff and went out of his way to make us feel wanted in the store. It was full of bike stuff and all kind other stuff too. I went there today to get a bike tire. I figured I'd go back to my roots. What a waste of time. The store is not like the old days. Hardly any bike stuff. I didn't even see a bike in there. The guy behind the plexiglass didn't even look up when I walked up to the counter. When I asked for help he told me look at the tire and go over there. I don't know what kind style is that, but I am NEVER gonna go in there again. He killed my memories of Buster. We use to call the store Buster's cause he made the store what it was. The guys that work in there don't have what he had and never will. It was more than a job to Buster. If they related it doesn't show.We took our business to The Bike Shop in Aiea. Those guys are great and I should have gone there first.

I went there today he wasn't friendly his attitude was terrible. When I asked questions he talk like piss off what kind is customer service is that? If he is not happy working there he should resign the job.

My Dad has always comes to this place for all his fishing needs & since my boyfriend is now getting more into fishing we decided to stop here today (: we just picked up hooks, lead & a new bell. Prices are great! Definitely will be coming here more !!

I like to try to support the smaller local mom and pop store when I can, so when i needed bike tubes I went to go see these guys. Well I got the tubes, but what I didn't get from them was a welcoming atmosphere and attitude. I expected a little more aloha from these guys as the "local boys". When I asked a question I kinda felt like it was an inconvenience to the guy to be asking. This was the third time I bought something from them and each time I went there, I always walked out, asking myself "why did I go there?"

I recently came in to get a guide on my fishing rod replaced. It was actually the cheapest place to get a guide replaced. The cost of labor alone at other shops cost more than the cost of labor and parts at this shop. The wrapping of the guide was also well done, it looked like the original threading and the epoxy looked very clean and well done. Even though the guide that was replaced was full black and the other guides on the rod are silver with a black insert i don't mind. I actually like the unique look. I would definitely come back if I needed to repair another rod !

Been going there for as long as they been opened I remember Buster and how he always helped just as Keith and Chris have carried on that local tradition with all the fisherman Thank guys for being a great part of the community
