Worst experience of my life. This establishment is on Airbnb and charges a lot to stay in a place that is old and dilapidated. Checking in was difficult and a block away from the building I was staying in. Toilet was leaking water all over the bathroom. Pullout sofa was broken. Was not clean when entering and everyone was sick by the time we woke up the next morning. No one was able to fix anything while we were there. Refused to refund our stay even though they owned up to the mess that we were in. Never again will I stay at any Outrigger properties.

My husband and I stayed for a week during our honey moon. The place is very clean great amenities and great staff. We had an incident our first night where our patio door is broke and we got locked on the patio. The front desk and maintenance team act quick to come to our rescue and ended up getting us unlocked. Obviously this could have been a horrible position had we not had our phones. Once the manager Rebecca was back in office she reached out immediately to us and apologized for what happened and ended up comping our entire stay. This was incredibly kind of the staff to do and I appreciate them reaching out to us so quickly about it. Even though this terrible incident happened the team responded so well and really made the rest of our trip great. I would come back again forsure. Also the views are great!

Me and my family had such a wonderful visit! The views are breathtaking! The location is centrally located between all the best restaurants, beaches and shops. We didn't have to rent a car because everything was so close. The only bummer is no pool. If there was a pool this would be the best vaca. We were able to do a day pass at a nearby resort for a pool day. The inside of the condo was clean and very well maintained. Very spacious, ac, washer and dryer - everything to make us feel at home. We don't want to leave! Thank you for the great stay and Aloha!

We booked an oceanfront condo on the second floor at the Waikiki Shore through Airbnb. I understand there are 4-5 nearby hotels that manage condos in Waikiki Shore but ours was managed by Outrigger. Our 11 night stay was ~$4250 plus state taxes (about $550 more). The condo we rented was a suite with one bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. This size was perfect for the two of us. The check in process was a little different than a typical hotel in that you can't just check in at the lobby. I just had to call the Outrigger on the house phone in the lobby and about 10 mins later an Outrigger employee showed up with my room keys and paperwork to sign. The room keys were physical keys not the virtually-disposable electronic keys most modern hotels use. The keys worked fine but are bulkier than a credit card sized key and come with a $175 replacement fee if you lose a set. We also had an assigned parking spot but for some reason the representative from the Outrigger did not bring the parking garage remote when he checked us in. He had to go back and get it. No big deal, but we had to hang out in the room about 30 mins until he returned. Fortunately we already had the fixings for cocktails so we didn't mind the wait. Our condo was on the 2nd floor in the Waikiki Shore. Normally I'd say the higher the floor the better the view, but not necessarily at the Waikiki Shore. The 2nd floor ocean front rooms have a better view of the beach than higher floors because the 1st and 2nd floor are further back from the water by about 50-100 feet or so. Our condo was also so close to the beach there was really no reason to get an umbrella and chairs directly on the beach. We could go from our Lanai to to water in 60 seconds so might as well just hang out on the Lanai and save all our beach going stuff from mountains of sand. The only downside of our location was the view of the Friday night fireworks was virtually blocked by two palm trees adjacent to the property. The condo we stayed in had been remodeled recently and was very nice and modern inside. The only minor complaint was the gas stove had been abused a little and wasn't in great shape, but no big deal. We had reasonably fast WiFi compared to what I'd expect in a hotel (17MBps download and 5MBps upload speeds - yes I'm a geek and I actually ran a speed test). We had two TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom both with HDTV Cable Boxes and typical non-premium channel lineups. Of course, these details are specific to the actual condo we stayed in. Other condos managed by Outrigger might differ.Overall it was a good experience. We will likely return for a future trip.

We stayed in condo #918 and it is a beautiful condo and Paul, the guy we rented from was very helpful. With that being said, the staff at this building were... well, less than helpful. The people behind the desk are very low energy and don't or can't answer your questions when you ask and almost never greet you when coming in. The so called "security" guy during the night shift was rather impolite every time we saw him around the property. Nice condo and great location but the staff was just plane terrible.

Don't know where to start with this review, just got back from there we stayed in studio 815. It was supposed to be a ocean view what we got was a part ocean view part army museum roof so not what we were expecting. We thought they would be more clear and tell you not a full ocean view. The place was so old and dated it was like a college dorm with a kitchenette. I would guess it hasn't been updated since the eighties. The carpet was stained, the bed was like a rock , and the only new thing in this place was the tv. Also like other reviewers said when we arrived there it was confusing. We asked the front desk person we were here to check in and he grunted. He barely wanted to tell us we had to pick up the phone and dial o which we did and the lady told us there would be someone right over to help us. 15 minutes later no one showed up so my husband called again and they said sorry. They again told us that someone with be right with us so in total 25 minutes later we were shown up to the condo. The guy seemed rushed as I think a lot of people were arriving at the same time. He gave us the keys and the rules and was on his merry way. I guess he wanted out of there before we started looking at the place. We met the manager in the lift and we told him we weren't happy with the unit that it was old and not updated. He said he would make a note of it and couldn't wait to get out of the lift. For the money we felt we way overpaid. We have stayed in many condos in different countries and were always happy. We booked this so if we felt like cooking we could, but the counter space was a joke. No way you could comfortably cook there. The place I have to say was clean ,but take my advice before u stay here. Do your homework ,make sure u are getting what your are paying for. We sure didn't .

Waikiki Shores has many management companies that rent condos for individual owners of Waikiki Shores. Every management rental company has their own standards for quality condo units and every owner has their own preference to keep their condo updated or go with a different rental company with different standards. People that comment on this site should definitely mention what rental management company they went through & the condo room number, because of the different standards. People that comment tend to when they're not happy instead of when they are pleased, which is not fair to condo owners that spend $50k to hundreds of thousands to remodel their condo or management companies that try hard to please their guests. Castle Resorts has their reception desk in the lobby, Outrigger Reef rents condos, but they are located next-door & staff has to come over to help check in, as does many of the other rental companies have to greet you personally because they do not pay rent to have a lobby reception desk. The Condo numbers of units start out at the oceanfront at 00 & move away from the ocean up to 18. This numbering system is on every floor. Two bedroom units are on each end of building (00,18), the rest of the units are studios (04,05,14,15)for two people & The one bedrooms units are in between the other unit, for up to four people. You must also use common sense and knowing that there are Oceanview's on all floors but the higher you go, the closer to the ocean you get the better the view. Also different rental companies have different prices for units. If you go online to book you should take that into consideration. it's wise to compare pricing, companies, & unit number for the best experience unless you are only looking for a place to lay your head in the most exciting resort, restaurant, nightlife, shopping, and Waikiki beachfront units at your front door. It would be wise to also price hotels in that same area just to see how much more you would be paying at a hotel over Waikiki Shores which is the ONLY condo on Waikiki Beach.

BEWARE of Unit 1012 it is so nasty. The carpeting was so dirty it left black foot prints on the shower floor. My husband knew the crap was not on his feet before we got in the room because he had his socks & shoes on that day until we got into the room. There are so many issues with this unit pictures will have to suffice. The only good thing is the view from the lanai. Professional cleaners my eye. It will take a lot more than cleaning to make this Unit 1012 acceptable.Like a total redo of flooring etc...etc...etc...How very disappointing.

We reserved a 1 bedroom condo back in March for our Christmas stay. We were told we would have a high floor with a queen bed with a view of diamond head; and yes, it is a true one-bedroom. Well, we checked in today and we're greeted with twin beds in a partitioned off room. And none of their rooms face diamond head! This wouldn't be so bad, but there is a 1 foot gap on one end of the partition. The agent we dealt with did everything he could to find us the accommodations we were promised but this being a busy week, nothing was available. The exterior of the property looks sketchy but our unit is very nice with a great view. So if you need a one bedroom unit, reserve a two bedroom, as the agent told us that they have one 'bedroom' partitioned off, and one with four walls and a door.

Nice well lit condo. No need to hike to go to the beach, it is right below. Right next door to Fort Derussy. We enjoyed our stay here. Housekeeping came daily. Walking distant to the strip. We ran into Eric, the management? The guy with the dog.... cute dog yet rude and unfriendly man.
