Waikiki Place

The room was spacious and ready by the promised time and the staff really made an effort to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The air conditioning worked well. The location was very walkable and convenient, very close to several nice beaches, restaurants, and shops. The pool was also a great amenity to enjoy during our downtime as well. The private lanai was nice to take in the views and enjoy a drink or breakfast. We were also able to see some fireworks one night from there.Parking was free, easy, and convenient once we figured out how it worked the first time. This was actually one of the main reasons I chose to stay here since most places in Waikiki seem to charge for parking. It was pouring down rain when we arrived and we had to temporarily park in the loading zone in the street to retrieve the key fob from the mailbox in the lobby of the building. We were initially confused about the location of the assigned parking spot because the entrance on the other side of the building only contained the basement and first floor parking and we actually had to pull around again to the front of the building again to access the 2nd floor parking (which requires the key fob). The check-in guide is helpful for understanding this.We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Waikiki again!

Tom is the most amazing host ever! He owns Waikiki Place LLC, which is housed at the Marina Surf Waikiki conveniently located by a plethora of shopping and the #1 rated Waikiki beach. My first impression of him already started on the right foot: as soon as I booked the room on hotels.com, Tom reached out to me and offered me an exclusive one-time deal to add nights to my stay, which I could not pass up. His instructions were very specific and detailed. When I finally arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The pictures were accurate, and the room was beautiful and very clean. The Palms was a studio with one queen bed, sofa bed, a full kitchen with stove top, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, utensils, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, and even cooking basics like oil, salt, and pepper. There was a TV with all the channels you need and a lanai with a table and chairs for your outdoor dining needs. Forgot a mask? You get 2 AND hand sanitizer too! The bathroom had plenty of mirrors and also came with Bath & Body Works soap, shampoo, and lotion, and plenty of towels. What made it more convenient was that it came with 2 beach chairs, beach AND rain umbrella, beach towels, and a boogie board. I'm wowed! The bathroom was very beautiful as it appeared to be remodeled with two shower heads, one of which wa sa rain shower head and the other a regular shower head with great water pressure.As much as I was impressed by the room, I was more impressed with the level of service provided by Tom. He allowed me to check-in early, which was so nice because the day I checked in it rained so it wasn't like I could kill time at the beach or a muddy hike. This room was an exceptional value for the dollar, especially for Waikiki. And to top it off, the rate came with FREE PARKING! You can't beat that in the ever so expensive Waikiki area. Everything is within walking distance, the beach only a 5 minutes walk away with plenty of excellent restaurants and shopping to be had.Highly recommended to stay here if you're solo traveler, couple, or small family with 2 or less small children!

What a dump. Stayed here 10-12-2022. Shower head held together by a mending wire. The shower area had not even been cleaned. Long black hairs and lint all over the side of the tub. Bath anti slip mat covered in black mold. Our daughter came down sick a day later and pretty sure because of this dive. Air conditioning putting out a horrible smell. Pillow covers had rips and tears. Complimentary chocolate had melted flat and looked old lol! Wouldn't stay here again even if you paid me. Room 1106 stay away. Left a review on another website and owners reply was comical at best.

Stayed here, loved it, good on my wallet, owner / manager was very accommodating and supportive.5/5 star would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others who aren't on a Ritz Carlton Budget. Waikiki is not a cheap place by any means. With Covid taking a dump on everyone's parade, the tourism and travel has gone way down. To my family's fortune we found Waikiki place at a very affordable rate. Most businesses have spiked prices (so it seems) to make up for the Covid related depression. As a military family we have always wanted to stay in Waikiki but have not been able to afford it until now. It's nice to see a business like Waikiki Place who takes this opportunity and sets an affordable price that allow military and locals to take advantage of enjoying a stay in Waikiki when normally they would not be able to afford it. Staying here allowed my family and I to enjoy the post card beauty of Hawaii one last time before moving back to the mainland. So thank you!!Lastly for my review, dealing with the owner / manager Tom was a genuine experience. It's not like dealing with a big corporate business-- when staying here you'll get a real person who takes interest in you having a quality stay. Thanks again Tom!!

If I could give them a 0 I would. We have to cancel our trip after my boyfriend had emergency back surgery and they weren't even willing to discuss any credit or refund. They are making $477.80 by doing absolutely nothing. A cleaning fee for a room that's never used and a room that they will rent to someone else and make double money. It's bad enough he is recover from back surgery, and we are cancelling our trip, but add to that a business unwilling to refund or credit money for something they didn't earn. Not a single issue with the other 2 reservation we cancelled on other islands.

WAIKIKI PLACE IS OUR FAVORITE HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME!Truly a gem of a location in mid-Waikiki equipped with all you need: a fully stocked kitchen, a comfy bed, flat-screen tv, spa-like shower/bath and...drum roll please...a PARKING SPACE!Tom has three studio apartments to choose from, so check out his website to find your perfect one! You will be blown away by the amenities as well as the affordability. You may decide to keep this a secret after your visit. We always book our next trip as soon as we get home! I had too much family comming to visit in one week. Not enough room at my place for everyone to stay. Waikiki Place vacation rentals was perfect. Close by, really clean and the check in and out was so easy. My family really liked having a kitchenette. I really think I will have all my family and friends stay there from now on, hehehe! Waikiki Place is in a perfect location for exploring Waikiki Beach--blocks from beaches, restaurants, shops! Wonderful amenities, such as a well-equipped kitchen, cozy lanai, beach chairs, cooler, snorkeling equipment, beach towels, AND garage parking stall. Tom is a fantastic host--accommodating, helpful, thorough and attentive. This rental is a great value for such a prime location.

The room was clean and quaint and the best bang for your buck in this area. The location is priceless- you are one block from the beach, dozens of phenomenal eateries, and even bars with live music. These rentals also come with free parking spot which you can save you up to $40 a night if you're staying at a local hotel. Our room also came with an umbrella and beach towels which came in handy as we spent most days at the beach. Definitely recommend using.

I was referred to Waikiki Place from my cousin a few years back when looking for accommodations in Hawaii at an affordable rate. Needless to say, I have reached out to Tom now for the past three visits, and will continue to do so. There are a host of reasons why you should consider Waikiki Place when visiting. He's very responsive to any and all emails leading up the trip. From my experience, he's responded same day, or 24-48 hours max.
