What a great resort nestled in with condo living, a marina, onsite stores restaurants and bar! We stayed over two nights coming from Australia and had a great time.

Stayed here booking through Vrbo for almost two weeks. We needed something and needed it quick for an unexpected family thing. Parking is 2 blocks away and you have to roll your luggage through two different hotels. $28+ per day. When you get off a flight all you do not want to do is maze your way though a hotel. My dude did all the check in in the back office by the sundries shop. We had a low level floor right over the pool. It was a bit noisy but we were right over the pool... duh. There are two pools. One is accessible though the second floor more of a lounge in the water type shallow pool, the other a small deeper pool with kids able to bounce around. The hotel is nice, our room was modern and recently renovated. Kitchen (no dishwasher), huge flat screen, cali king bed, and couch pull out. Room is comfortable for 2 and I would never sleep 4! Minutes (maybe 5) to the beach walking. You can easily access all of Waikiki beach paste the Hale Koa in about 10 minutes. I would probably stay here again. We had a car and did most everything off site.

I booked my vacation via RCI exchange. This resort are like condos, privately owned. The way I can tell. each balconies are decorated differently. During my stay, it felt like I booked an airbnb. This place has two different check in places; front/lobby are for the hotel guest and another behind the hotel are for the time share members.Customer Service is just ok. It's not 24/7, they have a time frame. Cleanliness of the facilities including our room are not bad.Gym are for hotel guest only, time share members are not included. I am used to HGV wherein it's a one stop shop. By staying here, i had a huge comparison. This place is more for adults not for family with small kids. Overall experience: it wasn't bad but I prefer to stay at HGV than here.

The Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai, also known as the world famous Hawaii Five-O resort - has a ton of neat history, and is a nice place to stay. There are 2 registration desks, one for the regular hotel and a separate one for the Timeshare (not located next to each other - but nothing is very far either).Located on the edge of Waikiki, yet right next to the marina. This hotel is close to all the great fun things in the area - whether you walk or drive. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable , and having a fully (minimally) stocked kitchen is ready convenient. We had a city view from our balcony. While the view was nice, you also get to hear all that is city at night. They have separate elevators for the "bathers" so you don't track sand in the regular elevators. The hotel has some shops and restaurants off the lobby. Convenient store with lots of items, Dave's Ice Cream, etc. The hotel staff is nice and if you need anything you can call down to the front desk. There are 2 ABC Stores in walking distance, the nearest 7-eleven is a little farther (but has better fresh food). The Ala Moana shopping mall is also in walking distance and has an amazing food court! After over a week and a half there, I hated to leave to go back to regular life. But glad we stayed there!

I'm here for a conference at another hotel and am staying here. This place has two hotels (one is for hotel space) and the other is a timeshare. We are using points. I have to say that we're fine. We got in and went to the regular hotel entrance, and was told that our check in spot was at a different place, which is fine. We checked in quite easily, things were explained and we went up to our room. They don't clean the rooms daily, but our trash cans filled up pretty rapidly and they should rethink that. All and all, it's fine. The hotels here are useless to me, but I'm here for the WiFi. I wish they would have explained to us how to get to the beach. We found out several days into the trip.I am forever grateful that we weren't offered "free trips or perks" as a way to get us to spend more money with them. Otherwise, it's a decent hotel, quite busy. Some of the other locations have cleaning one day per week. Also, this should be explained about the hotel within a hotel. My husband was getting calls about his trip and we thought it was part of a scam because they didn't come from the hotel. However, they did come from an employee of Shell. They need to clarify this.We stayed in a studio unit, which is fine because I'm not planning to spend a ton of time here indoors. We have a full kitchen, but due to no fault of their own, there aren't a lot of stores in the area. ABC is overpriced and Safeways and Whole Foods and Foodland are pretty far away. But it's all good. I can order food and heat it up in an oven which is fun.We did come to our room and find a bag of delivery in front of our door. We didn't order it, as we were coming back from dinner. They should have a way to deal with this. We left the food outside in case someone realized their error or were looking for their meal. Also, they need more instruction about how to handle garbage. Since we don't have room cleaning, we need to know where to throw the trash away. Unfortunately, I got instructions and they didn't work, which means I have to meander the hallways looking for the garbage chute. But, other than that, all is good.

We came here for a quick staycation. Just for change of pace.It has most of what you would expect in a timeshare--small kitchen, basic cooking and eating utensils, bathroom, couch with pull out bed, TV, semi private lanai. Only thing missing was the washer and dryer. Washer and dryer is self service coin operated, we didn't use it since we were only there for the weekend.Housekeeping is limited due to covid, but the room was well stocked with enough toilet paper, paper towels, and bath towels for the entire weekend. You can request for additional supplies but I believe there an extra fee for that. For the most part everything was clean. Looks like they renovated the rom recently. My little one made good use of the room, running from bed to couch and all around. TBH I think he just liked being someplace different. There is a convenience store in the lobby area at you can grab some supplies if you forgot anything. It's kind of sad to see a lot of the shops that are part of the resort s were closed. . The only places open on the grounds were the convenience store, Dave's Ice cream, and a salon.Oh the pool was open to guest but you need to make a reservation ahead of time by calling the front desk. If you're coming from out of state a negative covid result is required, kamaaina just need to show valid ID--no covid test required.Would love to get back once this whole Covid thing is gone and really enjoy what they have to offer. But for now we were happy to call it our home away from home for the last 3 days.

Resort, I think not. Convenient, if you want to be in the tourist area, yah. tl;dr I love so much of Oahu and it's close to my heart because of my family and growing up visiting so frequently as a child. However, this stay did not represent the good things about Hawaii to me. I would not recommend my friends or family go here. At the marina in Waikiki, absolutely. Convenient to shopping at Ala Moana Center and the beach. Also an ABC Superette is nearby. In fact, you may want to catch a little resort vibe by walking over to the Hilton Resort. Now that, is a resort. Highlight: Cinnamon's Ilikai restaurant is here which is cool. Check out my review on that if it interests you. :)Parking, expensive, but not abnormally high since it's the touristy area of a city. $28/day.Kitchen is stocked with pans, pots, utensils, but awkwardly small so I'm glad I was not cooking for these few days here. The fridge was full sized which is overkill for a studio which can only comfortably sleep 2 people. The room itself is outdated and unfortunately we got the city facing side so it's loud traffic sounds all night and day.For some reason this "resort" has very short pool hours, 10am-6pm. It's small and packed with people so I would definitely suggest if you can walk to the beach, just do that. Ala Moana beach and Waikiki beach are close.Shower head needed basic maintenance. It was leaking nonstop.Lighting and color palette makes the bathroom look/feel dirty but hopefully it's physically clean. The linen - sheets & towel service is $75! This is the most outrageous price I've seen. The TV is very small. Highlight: we have our very our router in here so no WiFi speed issues! They should update the TVs so they are SmartTV equipped with streaming services and to have larger TVs for the room size. For this room in particular it's because of an entertainment center cabinet that needs replacing. Most hotels now have larger LCD or LED wall mounted TVs or they sit atop an entertainment center so they aren't stuck with the small size of the cabinet. If you got this far, I suggest against you staying in the Shell Vacations timeshare rooms in this resort. We are staying through Shell and the room is bad and the hotel is underwhelming including device from the Shell folks. From other reviews I assume not every room is this bad, so if you can specify your room maybe you'll have a better stay than us.I believe Shell is now under the Wyndham name. While we were there we were told it was changing and Wyndham would be in control so beware of their timeshares whether they go by Shell or Wyndham at this particular spot.

Our room is dated, smelly and not very clean. We have my 4 year old with us and the room we got has only a walk in shower, no tub and the shower head is not movable- so is very hard to give her a shower. Location is good.

FIRST, I need to say Thank You to our check in Representative, Shawn who handled our phone calls, and questions and helped us to store our luggage before we could actually check in. We booked our this vacation through Wordmark Club Pass and we experienced one of the better checks in for our stay being at a Timeshare Resort which is The Shell Waikiki Beach Resort at Llikay. This is a perfect vacation getaway in the middle of Waikiki for two people! The room will sleep 4, but there were only 2 of us and the fit was perfect! I would give this resort a Rating this a 5 out of 5 as the location is so close to the beach, and the Pool Restaurants amenities were great! The lobby had lots of shops, a conveyance store, restaurants, and it even has an Daves ice cream parlor! Our room is clean, and the view we have of the beach from our room is nothing short of great! There are other rooms on the street side with a view of the city which we did not visit. There is a short walking distance to Waikiki Beach and all the Restaurants and shops. Also, a short walk away is the Ala Mona Mall, with a huge food court and lots of higher end shopping stores. I will do another review after we leave and I have to say we will visit again!
