After the first night
This was the morning after i reached out out to the reservation line AFTER calling --
The a/c unit worked great but looked pretty bad
View of the room, from the front door.
The frame around the screens were covered in dirt and dust
Free parking spot near the hotel
Damage on the screen between the rooms
The show had a lot of damage that looked like it was fixed as fast and cheap as possible.
Studio look alike
The fridge was clean but the freezer wasn't
Shithole
View of the room, from the sofa. Notice the TV.
This is the welcome desk- awful
The garden ... sad
Front desk decrepitude
Uncomfortable bed
Worn and dirty
Part of the cabinet is broken
View of the front entrance from "Beachwalk".
Stayed in room 204
Empty shelf closet without any dryer or iron.

When I was looking for Didier, I was looking for the cheapest. And usually where it's cheap, there are always some pitfalls. So I was already expecting a catch when checking in) but in fact I really liked it. The location is 5+. Rock Cafe, shopping centers, beaches and the Army Museum are nearby. The rooms, although old, are clean and non-smoking. There is a small kitchen. Although there are no parking spaces, we managed to find free parking nearby. We slept great! Super, thank you.

My boyfriend booked this place for our Valentine staycation for 4 days 3 nights. He got charged about $500 when he booked. We thought all the fees were already covered, but when we went to check-in on our first day, there were some fees we still had to pay like the one time security deposit $150 and another $292.55. And the guy added $88.47 amenity fees on our third day. He didn't add the fees on our first day because he forgot. This hotel is such a scam! They suck up all your money from the time you book online, AND when you arrive on your first day. There were no parking garages so if you have a car, park it at the King Kalakaua Plaza. I had to park at the King Kalakaua Plaza and pay a daily $25 a day. They do overnight parking, but other places nearby don't, like Embassy Suites and the Bank of Hawaii garage. And the staff did a great job with taking care of our car. The hotel itself is an older hotel so they still have wooden window shutters. The walls are very thin that you can basically hear your neighbors outside, everyone talking, laughing so loud, and people coming in and out of their rooms slamming their doors shut, to people jumping in the pool. Even with the t.v. on the noise is there. There's no peace and quiet, even in the morning when you're trying to get a shut eye. There's a lot of the staff and other guests roaming about. The gravel where the pool is hurts your feet once you go barefoot on it. There are so many loose rocks on the gravel it just sticks to your feet. This hotel is not as fancy as the other hotels. There were no plates in the cubbard, or utensils, or an iron to even iron your clothes. You just get hangers, a blow dryer, shampoo, lotion, and soap. That's it. The shower...omg the shower smells like ammonia like when you're at the salon when they wash out the dye off from hair. It was just nasty stinky lol. This is a one-and-done deal for us. This was an experience we will never forget.

I actually quite liked this place for the price. Nothing fancy. You want fancy, stay at one of the giant hotel chains that charge twice as much. My room was clean and the common areas are cute and open. The guy at the front desk was super nice and clear. If you tell them you are checking in after 10p, they send you the gate code ahead of time. The front desk is staffed 7a-10p which is think is reasonable. Like all other hotels, there is a deposit on your credit card that comes right back once you leave the place without any damages. Plenty of garages to park around like most other hotels here. I would stay here again. Standard hotel practices

I booked this hotel based on price and location. We have stayed in Waikiki several times and some hotels can be quite a bit hard on the pocketbook so we try to stay at some cheaper places so we can spend money on other things like restaurants and attractions. When getting an uber from the airport it didn't recognize the name of the hotel so we had to enter the address. At first this made us nervous thinking maybe we booked some place that doesn't exist. We found it though after all. It is tucked between some store fronts and you would miss it being a hotel if you weren't looking for it. The decor of the initial area when walking in and the front desk is nice and very green. Very welcoming. The lady at the front desk was really polite and explained everything to us. She gave us an actual key to the room and you only get one. If you lose the key it is $500 to replace it. Seems steep to me and annoying that I have to have a key to get it in to our room versus a card type key like other hotels. The they charge a resort fee even though they don't clean your room except every 4 nights. Not sure what all that so call fee covers, but also seems steep. She let us check in early, which was nice. Our room was on the 1st floor right in front of the pool which was nice in some ways but not nice in others. The room was fairly large and had a couch, a king bed, dresser, a desk and chair, 2 closets, a kitchen counter top with a sink, microwave and a larger mini fridge. The bathroom was larger as well except for the tiny shower. It was so tiny that the showerhead was barely above my head. Anyone over 5'6" would have to bend down to be under the showerhead. If anyone was showing around your room the temp and water pressure would fluctuate making it annoying while showering. If not one else was, then the pressure was fantastic and the heat level was perfect. They only provide 2 regular sized towels and you have to use those for the pool as well. And again, they don't come by your room except every 4 nights, so have fun with just the 2 towels. The TV worked great and was a nice sized flat TV mounted on the wall. The AC unit worked well also. It had a remote control on the wall to adjust the settings. I saw other reviews that mentioned they couldn't reach the unit to change the temp. Not sure if they saw the small remote in a case on the all, but that was super helpful. The noise level was pretty high. You could hear every little thing outside our room. Every conversation, baggage rolling, maintenance guys cleaning. Everything. There was no way to block the noise. We were satisfied with our stay and went to check out. They refused to hold our luggage for the remainder of the day claiming it was due to Covid. They insisted we either walk around with it (this would be for 9 hours that we had left in Waikiki before we headed back to the airport for a red eye) or take it 20 minutes away to some luggage stored facility that charges you per bag to hold. I have never experience a hotel that refused to hold your luggage, especially since they get tipped for just letting it sit there. This rounded out the 'ehh it's okay' experience we had at Waikiki Beach Walk. The location is good, but the somethings would keep us from coming back and staying here again,

I recently stayed at the "Pagoda Waikiki" hotel. It's an interesting place. The Pagoda Waikiki hotel can be described as consisting of two complexes. There is a hotel, designed and built circa 1950's-1960's (?), located on Beachwalk; there is also another building on Saratoga. I suspect that the Saratoga building was once an apartment that has been adapted for use as a hotel.I stayed in the complex on Beachwalk. This compound consists of the management office, a small restaurant, and a number of one and two-story buildings, surrounding a swimming pool. The courtyard also has picnic tables and lounge chairs. This complex is quiet. It is within easy walking distance to the beach. And its situs allows you to access all parts of the Waikiki tourist zone. If you don't want to walk too far, there are plenty of restaurants, with a variety of price points, close by. There are Long's Drug and ABC stores across the street. The office is not (currently) open 24hrs. (I don't know if it's a budget thing, or a post-Covid thing.) But management does make use of technology. After I made my reservation, I received a texts and emails confirming my reservation; an advisory of the front desk hours; and what to do if I planned to check-in after hours. There was also notification that if I had a car, call as parking was limited. There is an additional fee for parking. I received additional texts as my check-in date drew closer. The staff I interacted with while checking in and out were nice. While the facilities are dated, my unit was clean and surprisingly well maintained. The bathroom showed signs of heavy traffic, but it was clean. The carpet was reasonably clean. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets were crisp. The TV was newer and operated well. And I thought it was interesting that the room did not have a telephone; but as everyone has a mobile phone nowadays, maybe management didn't think it necessary. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and I was able to access the internet with my laptop and make calls over Wi-Fi using my cell phone. I didn't go to Hawaii to spend my time in the room, so I was satisfied. I also found it interesting, inspecting features of the room that demonstrated how architects handled tropical ventilation and cooling before the prevalence of air conditioning.Different people have different vacation budgets and have different expectations for their travel experience. Take a look at the photos I'm submitting. With so many options, I cannot say that I would make Pagoda Waikiki my default choice for future accommodations. However, having stayed there once, I'm not opposed to staying there again.

This place is a dump & management is even worse. I have been familiar with this place since the 1970s when I lived just a few blocks away for 15 years. It was a nice, friendly establishment in those days.Booked a room for 1 week on one of my frequent inter island visits, as I don't live in Waikiki anymore. Received confirmation that I would be charged same price for each night of my stay. On check in was charged much higher price for weekend nights along with a 'resort fee'. WTF!! kind of resort is this? Discussed with management more than once & she kept making excuses about computer mistake & more. Finally manager, Kris, said she would take it up with marketing dept & advise. Never heard back. If my employees make mistakes I back it up & correct it with a refund of the difference & that also includes my computer mistakes. Will never return to this dishonorable, untrustworthy dump.

Booked with them through Hotwire.com. Waikiki Heritage Hotel required a form sent to them by Fax. For this reason I requested Waikiki Heritage Hotel cancel my reservation by messaging them in the Hotels.com chat app. They did not cancel the reservation. They said "We can not cancel your reservation at the hotel you must contact your -----------pany to cancel." I dont know what "-----------pany" is supposed to mean so I was not able to follow the instruction. I was charged $251.85. My first experiences with both Hotwire.com and Waikiki Heritage Hotel. Expensive lesson learned. What was the lesson learned? If you dont have a fax machine and/or dont know what "-----------pany" means, dont use Waikiki Heritage Hotel or Hotwire.com.

Place needs to remodel or torn down what a dump. Everything very old and needs replacing. $29 resort fee for a small pool no other extras. If going on cruise next day is the only reason you would stay in this dump. Breakfast bar coffee yes just coffee. So dilapidated.

Small room but clean! Nothing fancy. Excellent customer service. Close to shops, Starbucks and the beach. If you are looking for affordable place to stay but not picky about it this is the place to go. Even though is old hotel, the cleanliness is A+. The ladies and the gent in the front desk are very patient and accommodating. Mahalo!
