The gardens welcome desk was a great experience. My daughters loved the various walkways that went off the main path. Such a diverse variety of plants in this space.

A 27-acre forest with native plants in central Oahu, a special hidden gem in Wahiawā. Free and open to the public. We love coming here if we're in the area. There are ramps and stairs if you want to go explore further down, but the top area is just as nice for a short stroll. It's always so peaceful, relaxing, and never crowded. I've seen people take pictures here, picnic, play with keiki, and even read a book. The volunteers are always very friendly and helpful if you have any questions. Every time we come, we forget they have classes you can. I took a photo of upcoming events. I have to remember to go back this time!

I didn't do the vacation planning but I was told there was a very nice botanical garden nearby that was quite expensive to walk through, but that this particular garden was free and closer to the beaches. We had an easy time parking and spent about an hour walking through. Gorgeous stroll and nice picture spots.

Nice place to go for a small work. Most of the trails are paved, some areas can be a little steeper and slippery so bring good nonslip shoes . There are also some stairs that lead to the lower trail but you don't have to go down there to enjoy the garden. Also, bring your BUG spray, as you will get bitten .

Stunning botanical garden that we pit stopped to look at. So much greenery with pops of flowers throughout the garden. It was an opportunity to spend about 30 minutes casually walking throughout the property.

What a surprise! After having a meal in the area I searched Yelp for a scenic area to go for a walk. Wahiawa Botanical Garden was a mile away and the photos looked inviting. I didn't realize the garden would be so large. We walked in and the garden revealed a vast landscape of plants and huge trees. There were several paths to follow that took us along multi-level gardens and I swear we could have gotten lost for hours.I wish I had more time to spend the entire day. But the hour that we spent roaming the greenery was quite enjoyable. Would love to come back when they are hosting an event or have an educational speaker.*Free entry was a treat*Bring bug spray

Stopped by one afternoon as a friend and I were passing through. It was sprinkling and cloudy but we figured why not check it out. It's right across from the school so traffic was busy and they have a very small parking lot for the gardens. It wasn't busy due to the weather but still a good bit of people walking. It is free to roam, which was nice, but there are guides and a sign in sheet at the desk when you walk in. The gardens are way bigger than I thought! It was so beautiful with the light rain and everything was so fruitful from the hydration. It was truly magnificent. It's a great free activity to check out. Walking around and seeing all the gorgeous plants was a joy.

Had such a wonderful time walking around and reading about the different types of plants, flowers and trees. You are in a tropical forest with areas that are misty, the views from the bottom up or from the top to bottom are amazing. The history about this place is pretty cool. I highly suggest to stop by this hidden gem in Hawaii.

Great beginner trail. I walked the trailed today with @warrior outdoor club - Hawaii on Facebook. The garden doesn't open until exactly 9am. Therefore you will not be able to park until a few minutes after 9am. The parking lot is small about 20 parking spots. The garden and parking is free to visit. Once you park, sign in and start the trails. You will be given a map, a bird and plant sighting paper. That's for if you want to check off the plants and birds as you go through the garden. Restrooms are on grounds so you won't have to leave to use it. There is also an event space if you want to reserve it. The trails did have pavement areas, stairs, rocks and some slippery paved areas. I went early in the morning to beat the heat. It did rain on my way here so some spots was slippery but it was metal rails. So I'm so grateful for that. I probably would have fell if it wasn't for the rail.

For me this is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. The walk ways are clean and I like the fact that they've taken the time to mark most of the plants and tree so I know what I'm looking at. It's in the heart of Wahiawa so the temperatures should be a little cool than other spots on the island. There are also allot of great place to eat in the neighborhood so eating first then going for a walk or walking and then going for a walk is a great way to enjoy the garden.
