Ordered through Yelp/grubhub to pickup and got there at expected time on a Saturday afternoon. Store was overwhelmed with orders and irate customers, and worker said it would be another hour (or who knows) for it to be ready. He didn't know how to cancel my prepaid order. Fortunately when I called grubhub I got quick resolution with refund. But beware during busy hours!

I had been craving Korean fried chicken, and hadn't been able to find any good spots until Vons. My cravings were more than satiated! The chicken was hot and crispy, there were a variety of flavors, and the rice portions were generous. They also had pickled radish which was a plus for me. The service was fast and everyone was super sweet. Would definitely go again!

Food: We got half original and half garlic wings. The original was very crispy and the garlic had great flavor. Just wish the wings were bit bigger.Price: We spent almost $40 for the wings. It's a little pricey but wings are definitely good.Service: It was empty when I picked it up so wings came out quick.Ambiance: Did takeout

Craving some chicken wings and since I was in the area, I decided to stop into Von's. I've been a fan of Von's for many years, trekking to town just for their delicious wings. Thankfully, they have several locations on Oahu and one right near where I live! Today I decided to order my favorite wings Crispy shoyu and honey butter wings Mandoo (with mild sauce) As always, Von's wings were utterly delicious ! Crispy and full of flavor! This is the first time I've had their mandoo and they great! Next time I'm planning to try the spicy mandoo (had to order the mild mandoo as I was sharing) Wings and mandoo were great! I'll be back. Soon for more awesome food!

Tried their crispy seasoned half order today, 10 pieces for $18.00. I actually wanted the plate lunch shown in the photo on line but maybe next time.Usually I place a phone order but today used their on line ordering. After entering payment Spectrum went down. Wasn't sure if the order went through cuz the order number and photos of the order description showed question marks.Luckily it was ready when hubs went to pick it up.. The 10 pieces were reddish/orange in color. Oh oh... not what I thought it would look like but...I wholly enjoyed the flavor- moist, good sauce over the battered pieces. I took my 5 pieces and each bite and morsel off the bones was definitely finger licking delicious. Not sticky or spicy or dry/ but juicy and just very yummy. Make sure you have a wipes ready for after.Happy Memorial Day weekend!

A bunch of my friends have told me that this is the best Korean Chicken around- and have used the fact that it is a chain as evidence. What better way to show that something is good than by pointing to the expansion of the brand? Now that I've tried Von's I can say with certainty that they have a great business plan and food that was tasty enough, but no where near the best. I'm not unhappy we ordered from them, but I'll head back to CM Chicken in Waipahu the next time I'm craving saucy fried chicken, or to PuPu Princess in Ewa if I want amazing crispy chicken. Boneless chicken is the way to go. All the crunch, all the flavor, twice the food! I'd expected breaded tenders but was served boneless thighs with the skin on. I also recommend that you order the plate, as it comes with four pieces of chicken, rice, corn, and two deep fried mandoo. My $12 stretched through dinner and left me enough for lunch the next day. The customer favorite seems to be the $16 half order of wings (10 total) but that comes with no sides whatsoever. They offer rice, fries, mandoo, or fried tteokbokki as possible additions to round out your meal, but the best value is the plate lunch with boneless chicken. Pick your chicken, pick your sauce, and call the order in or order online. If you order in person be ready for a long wait, as Korean fried chicken takes at least 20 minutes to cook. Luckily this location is in Mililani Town Center, so if you have to wait you can do so in a pleasant place. I ordered and then ducked around the corner to pick up some salad fixings at Times. The staff at Von's was very nice, though, and assured me that I'd have enough time and then apologized for the wait when I made it back before my food was done.I do not recommend the fries for a to go meal. We ordered Snow fries, which was their standard shoestring fry covered in an onion and cheese powder. They tasted good, but were very cold by the time I got them home. I did enjoy the tteokbokki (fried rice cake) which I had with the mild sauce. This brings me to the biggest issue I had with Von's vs other Korean fried chicken places- the sauce was applied haphazardly on all of the things we ate. One bite would burst with flavor but not be crunchy, the next bite had the crunch but was bland. It was especially noticeable on my thighs, which were splashed but not tossed with spicy sweet goodness. I chopped my leftover chicken into smaller pieces and mixed it into my extra rice for lunch, which made me very happy. If you re in Mililani and craving fried chicken, Von's is a solid enough choice. I would choose it over Cane's every day of the month. I would not drive across town to get some, but I guess that's why they have more than one shop!
