I recently visited Volcano Skewer House, and I have to say, it's quickly become one of my favorite spots! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere, making it the perfect place for a casual night out. The restaurant is cozy but has a vibrant energy that makes it a fun experience from start to finish. As for the food, where do I even begin? The skewers are the highlight, and they do not disappoint. Every skewer is packed with flavor, whether it's the tender grilled chicken, savory lamb, or perfectly charred vegetables. The seasoning is on point--not too overpowering, but just enough to bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients. One of my personal favorites was the teriyaki-glazed chicken, which was sweet, savory, and perfectly grilled.I also recommend trying the dipping sauces that come with the skewers--they add an extra layer of flavor that takes each bite to the next level. The variety of sides available complements the skewers perfectly, and the fries with garlic butter were a standout for me. The service here is excellent, too. The staff is attentive, and they're always ready with recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Plus, the prices are reasonable for the quality of food you're getting, which makes it even more worth it.If you're in the mood for delicious grilled skewers in a laid-back, friendly environment, I highly recommend checking out Volcano Skewer House. I'll definitely be back

I've always seen this place while passing by, and it's been on my list to try out since I love skewers. I typically park at Walmart and walk over. It's quite a small place and their service was quick and attentive. The food was okay, but it wasn't special in my opinion. The pork belly was quite dry and tasteless but the beef and lamb were pretty good. I love Chinese spices and herbs but the flavor here lacked the intensity for me. It was nice to try but I don't think I would go back, especially considering the price which was quite high ($5 for most skewers).

Excellent Chinese style dry rub of spices, bursting with flavor on grilled meats or veggies! The seasoning is not salty and you can select your level of chili heat.I really enjoyed this eatery, where the skewers are cooked for you in their kitchen and served on a safe heated tray. You do not leave the restaurant smelling like smoke but you do leave with a very satisfied tummy! The variety of grilled meats came out first. When I tasted the fish tofu skewer, I thought that was my favorite. Then I instantly fell in love with their tofu skin skewers and ordered more! But then the rest of our order came out and I couldn't pick just one favorite.I was pleasantly surprised with their seasoned chives. There are mixed reviews on their garlic eggplant but I really enjoyed that dish. If you haven't tried their scallion pancake, I highly recommend that, it's so crispy and tasty....we ordered another one!Their customer service was fabulous, very attentive and accommodating. Our seating area was clean. I enjoyed listening to the Chinese music playing on their big screen. Everything we ordered was excellent! Will totally be a repeat customer here :)

We didn't have this spot on our list, but I'm so glad we stumbled upon it! Though seemingly simple menu, the dishes were well-executed and extremely flavorful! We even ordered repeats of our faves-- scallion pancake (an absolute must try! insanely thin, crispy, flaky) and well-seasoned dry rub lamb/ beef skewers. The pancake and enoki mushroom (another must try! explosion of crunchiness & juiciness) preparations & seasonings were so unique, unlike anything we've ever tasted. With only a few tables, it felt homey and intimate. The waitress was so sweet, attentive, and kind. We'd definitely make it a point to visit again next time on the island!

Romantic and fun date spot for those who are interested in trying something you can tell your friends about. This restaurant is located near Walmart in town. ADA accessible entrance, though it might be a tight fit. We had the sweetest waitress here, Vicki, who was attentive and went above and beyond for us. At the end of our meal we wanted to order their dessert, but they were out. Vicki found some Melona bars in the freezer that I think were the cook's personal stash and gave them to us with a smile. Thank you Vicki for making our stay special. The skewers here are delicious. You can order the perfect amount to be full without wasting any food. Great for groups who want to try lots of different things. The cucumber salad was a nice balance to all the meats. The only thing we can think of to make this even better, is if iSing (karaoke bar) next door and Volcano Skewer House partnered up :) these skewers would make the perfect karaoke food.

My friends and I went to Volcano Skewer House for the first time. The service was great and we ordered a lot.Scallion Pancake, pork belly skewers, beef tendon skewers, and century egg & Tofu Salad. My favorite was the Scallion Pancake. I like how light and crispy it was. My favorite skewer was the pork tendon skewer. We order slightly spicy on the skewers. So, I liked the light spice season on the pork tendon. The century egg & Tofu Salad was pretty good. A light tofu salad dish. My friends really enjoyed the century egg and tofu salad dish. The skewers are small but for the price. It's worth it. $5 for 1-4 pieces of skewers. If you ccombine those skewers portions together, a decent portion. Nice to share around with friends. We were all full at the end of the dinner. We I come back again? Yes, i would.

Quite a small place to dine at but the food was quite good! There were about 6 tables inside but my party of 3 didn't wait too long to get seated. We mainly got skewers (lamb, beef, chicken heart, and quail eggs) and lamb was by far our favorite, and the skewers were well seasoned. We also got the garlic eggplant, scallion pancake, cucumber salad, and scallops and they were all very good too. If you like garlic, you'll definitely like garlic eggplant and cucumber salad. The price point was good for the amount we ate imo (the three of us were stuffed, got about 30 skewers in total plus all the other dishes and it was about 110$ total?). Would definitely come again whenever I visit Hawaii next!

Saw a write up of this place in a magazine so we decided to try it. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables. The benches they have you sit on are hard wood. Though we were the first customers and only a couple groups came after us, service was slow. Got a variety of foods including the seabbass, garlic eggplant, green beans, enoki mushrooms and beef and tendon skewers. The meat is served in 1 oz portions on the skewers and were chewy and overcooked. Though we asked for nonspicy fish, it was still spicy and too spicy for the others in my party. The grilled veggies were good though and had great flavor.

The decoration in the store is very atmospheric, and the skewers are very Chinese. The skewers with beer are very spicy and addictive. It is recommended to be spicy. The service in the store is very good, especially Gary .

This Chinese skewer spot has ignited an addiction to what I call "fireflakes". It's the spicy seasoning mix that they have on the tables to pair with the skewers-- and it is spicy, savory, umami that lingers in the best way. To be honest, we actually made reservations to this restaurant thinking it was another skewer spot we've all already been to- but I'm so glad that we were able to check Volcano Skewer House out. They actually have both indoor and two outdoor tables -- if it wasn't raining when we came by we would've sat outside with our dog. Skewers are around $5 and can come in sets of 1-3 skewers per order. For three of us, we ordered A LOT: Lamb, beef, chicken, beef tendon, beef tripe, pork belly, bacon and enoki. My favorites are between te beef tendon and beef tripe - just the best texture and the perfect vehicle for the fireflakes. We also got their garlic eggplant, garlic oysters, and the scallion pancake. I'd probably pass on the scallion pancake and garlic oysters next time -- but I will ALWAYS get the garlic eggplant.
