Overview: The best selection of French wines, both drinkable and collectable, on the Island and a small but very well curated selection of hard to get Italian and USA wines. The shop exudes charm and makes you feel you're on a treasure hunt. Hand written prices, cases of wine stacked in rows on the floor, walls and racks displaying bottles many in the hundreds of dollars that would usually be locked behind glass everywhere.Wine - Outstanding selection of French wines including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne and to a lesser extent Alsace and Rhone. Half bottles and large format available. Some ultra collectables. Older vintages also available and while not properly climate controlled stored, I have not had a problem with any purchased for that last minute dinner party invite. Small but up end Italians including the Super Tuscans. Hard to find USA producers. A few well chosen late harvest and fortified wines.Beer -Very minimal. Old world lambics.Liquor - brown libations - Minimal. Essentials are represented. Check behind the POS for rarities. I spotted a Pappy's in the wild.Liquor - Minimal. Essentials are represented.Prices: Fair. French wines are what they are. That said, many approachable, delicious drinkable wines in the $20-$50 range available. All other categories at MSRP.Staff product knowledge / service: Above average. You're on your own for very high end items. Staff however is very friendly and approachable.Other: Weekly wine tastings. See IG for details. Conclusion: The spot for anything French and the perfect place to find a gift for the wine lover.

Vintage Wine Cellar is the best wine shop in Hawaii and home to the such a large variety of unique bottles. The team members here are so helpful and knowledgable about all the different varietals and pairings. I was able to pick out a rare small growers champagne and a wonderful pinot noir from Russian River that had such a great story behind its origin. They can help you select a bottle within your budget to go perfectly with whatever you are enjoying it with. Make sure to plan your visit and give yourself extra time just to browse through their huge selection. This is your one stop shop for any celebratory bottles or if you're on the hunt for a specific and hard to find spirit.

Hole in the basement cellar, my go to place when I want a nice fancy wine. They help find the perfect bottle to match whatever meal or dish you're looking for...and have all kinds of spirits they can recommend too. 5 stars.

This was my second time shopping here. I had some questions, Laura was very helpful and even though I know I said some things wrong, she never corrected me or made me feel embarrassed. I appreciate the customer service and will definitely return.

A good friend has been telling me about the Vintage Wine Cellar for many years because we both are tru winos. Haha. I finally went and to my pleasant surprise it's is just what the name is Vintage. And not just wines but a great selection of port, single malt proper Whisky, and even mugi soju and sake. You can't go wrong. But don't enter this dignified cellar expecting to find two buck chuck or other low end designer wines that are full of stabilizers and chemical balancers like ménage of the toes. You got it nSo this is the place for excellent vintage wines and the prices well are respectable and fairly honestly priced. You need to do your homework or understand exactly what you want. The staff are super friendly and helpful also understand the products. So get on in. I'll be back.

Came here a few times to buy whiskey. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but it appears that they have a huge selection of both wine and liquor. I love smoked or peaty flavored whiskey. Most of my friends had what I love and that just means more me for lol. Anyways, I loooove Laphroaig and I've tried almost everyone that I could find. I don't remember his name because it's not a common name, but he had a strong accent lol. He was crazy knowledgable about my type of whiskeys and recommended a few bottles so I've a few of them at a decent price. Ardberg is another favorite of mines, but he recommended Lagavulin which was also peaty and Oban which wasn't so peaty, but was smooth.I think this store is lucky to have that dude cause he can tell you what they taste like and where it originated from. This little shop is located in the Makiki Village next to Peppas in these glass doors that lead to the bottom floor. I'll definitely be back.

One of the few places on Oahu with a big selection of fine wine. Spirits are secondary, but also a quality selection. Everyone working there gives off vibes like they own the place in the sense of pride and knowledgeability while also being approachable and down to earth. I recently started learning about/ getting into wine a bit, and the people here are very knowledgable, helpful and welcoming into the 'world of wine.' Once the man helping me even gave me a whole stack of magazines to take home and study!! Im also amazed by the affordability. They will help u find exactly what ur looking for within ur budget. Great selection of old world wines! If u want to impress with a unique, delicious and quality bottle of wine at around the $30 mark, this is the place to go, and they can also tell you everything there is to know about the bottle. Of course there's expensive stuff here as well if u can afford it haha :) They also have free tastings all day every sat and Sunday which is always a fun opportunity to learn and try something new! Thank you Vintage Wine Cellar!!Also, it's so cute and cozy down in the cellar, always a pleasant experience to shop here
