Vietnam Pho and Sandwiches

When I tell you this took me back to the streets of Vietnam at my first bite of the banh mi. WOW. We found this place thanks to Sean kaleponi and his wife. Boy and I glad we squeezed in this stop before heading to the airport. The co who owns and works the stand was so kind and really puts love into her cooking. I got the Banh Mi Dac Biet (special combo). It was sooo good!! I brought it home to my mom and even 12hours later it was still delicious.

I tried this place when it first opened many years ago and found the banh mi to be "just okay". Today, I tried it for a second time after hearing good things about the place.Well, I'm glad I gave them a second chance. I ordered the Special, my favorite banh mi. It took a little while to prepare my sandwich but it was worth the wait. It was overflowing with tasty ingredients. The pate shone through ... it's key to the special sandwich.$10 in today's environment is a deal to me. Recommended!

Opens early so you can get some Ono grinds like fresh summer rolls ! The fresh spring rolls are only a dollar each! Tasty Banh Mi with veggie option!

Was looking for a good Bahn Mi while in Chinatown and decided to come to this food hawker market area. The customer service was great with seating in front. Don't expect anything high end. This was a classic hole in the wall but the sandwich was great! Ordered their lemongrass chicken sandwich that came out to $10. Would recommend!

Cash only inside the Chinatown plaza in the food court with many other vendors. I only ordered 1 special banh mi as a snack and it was sooo good! It was already made so I didn't have to wait. The pickled veggies were kind of on the sweet side but the sandwich was still delicious! I love how they put in Thai chili peppers instead of jalapeños its such a game changer! Give them a try! The banh mi was on the pricier side though being $10. Worth it!

Delicious! This mom and pop shop goes hard bro. Had the roll your own spring roll platter with pork, beef and chicken. The clay pot short ribs were great too! .

This place was a decent spot to grab a banh mi and some spring rolls. Def pay with cash if you can, it's a hassle to pay with credit (the worker walks you down a hallway outside to use another vendor's credit card machine). I got the special banh mi which sadly lacked pate but was otherwise decent. Not as perfect as the banh mi I had recently from Le's Banh Mi but still quite good. I also tried their shrimp spring rolls, was a little disappointed in the small amount of noodles inside of each roll, but the dipping sauce was good at least.

Hidden inside Maunakea Marketplace in Chinatown. This is a small vendor selling simple Vietnamese cuisines. I passed by there many times and been wanting to try their banhmi. One day, I ordered a lemongrass chicken banh mi $9. I would recommend paying with cash. Meat was microwaved while I noticed them prepping it. The flavor was still there but a bit dry. Bread was very crispy. The mayo wasn't overly spread on the bread. It was a pretty good sandwich.I would try other stuff on the menu next time. It's probably cheaper than the restaurants.

Delicious Food! The avocado bánh mì sandwich was amazing. So delighted to see a veggie option- I will definitely be back for that again! My husband also the pho and loved it.The service was fantastic and speedy! It is a great place to stop by anytime you're in Chinatown.

The map does not show this location to be the right place. Its actually on hotel street. So annoying I ended up ducking in another spot for a sandwich..
