I've never neen to any Urgent Care before so I was dreading a long wait in a waiting room of sick people. Had a mild sore throat and body aches over the weekend and my manager told me to stay away from work and go to a doctor. Although Kunia Urgent care was a lot closer, I chose Kapolei U.C. as the Yelp reviews were better. It is literally next to the Kapolei movie theaters, lots of parking. Co-payment with my HMSA insurance only $12. Cool! I was expecting to pay ER prices. Upon entering there was a sign that if you had flu symptoms to ask for a mask, which I did. But there were several other people wearing masks. The waiting room had 4 or 5 people for a Monday morning. I filled out paperwork not too bad and waited less then 5 min to be seen. Staff was pleasant and professional. The doctor was nice and informative. Got a swab up my nose to test for flu, negative. No signs of strep either. I mentioned coronavirus and she assured me I didn't have it. Besides, they don't have test kits anyway. Got a work note for 3 days. I feel fine. Time to go shopping and get my nails done mini vacation!

Urgent Care Kapolei located in the Consolidated Theater Mall. They'll be opening at they're new location in the WalMart Mall as of 03/25/2024. Ample parking in a private parking lot. Staff is friendly and efficient. Highly recommended for non emergency situations. Doctor and her staff were very caring and supportive.

First time visiting this location now under Adventist Health Care. Walked in before 8:45am and was expecting it to be busy in the waiting room. But thankfully it wasn't. Registration was smooth, just a couple forms to fill out. Wait time before being seen was no more than 15 minutes. Megan, APRN, was on duty. Very nice, professional and genuinely made the visit a pleasant one. Especially while she was tending to my infected toenail. Megan put me at ease and explained everything in details. Answered all my questions as well. I'm satisfied that my visit was a positive one. If I ever need services again, I will pay them a visit. Location is convenient, clean and staff is professional and seems to care about their patients.

We were in and out within an hour. They were able to link our insurance from home and got us set up at the pharmacy down the road. The team was great! Would recommend if you are in a pinch while visiting!

This review isn't for the urgent care quality itself hence the extra star but rather their system as a whole. The wait was long which is expected. Providers were efficient and willing and able to provide the care needed. Now the issue stands in receiving results. I called every day to ask and was told the results weren't ready. As a healthcare worker, I knew this wasn't right so I asked for the lab that they sent the lab work to and called. The lab reported that the results have been ready! They then stated they couldn't release them to me. Why can't my results be given to me like other labs or clinics? They then quoted "hipaa"... but these are my own results that I should be given access to and of course their medical record office is closed so dead end there. The urgent care center stated they didn't have any medicinal assistants available today so they couldn't get the results anyways since no one could call the lab. I made sure to ask the lab and they said any provider can call and they will fax the results so just because there is no medical assistant available anyone else can phone in for results. After calling back urgent care they said they would put me "on a list" for call backs when they receive the results. This care is really unacceptable. Either allow patients access to a program like mychart/epic or allow for them to call in for their own results if there are no providers available or willing to "retrieve them". Having to call so many times for days and even tracking down my own results is not the patients job especially if they won't even provide the results when ready. Asking patients/clients to wait on their results due to staffing issues and not providing other alternatives is poor quality healthcare and not patient centered especially if the medical concern is timely.

October 10,2022Been to this location for the 2nd time since the beginning of the year. Apparently they changed company or someone bought them out. So I had to fill out forms again since it's a new company/owner. I decided to visit this location because I would assume it could be quick in & out. Filled out forms & waited in the waiting room for about 30-40mins before someone called me back inside. While walking in the back it seemed very loud with everyone talking, very comfortable environment. The nurse who was assisting me was very friendly and made me feel comfortable with helping get down to what sickness I was coming in for that day. I went to this urgent care because 1) Convenience 2) Open early at like 7AM (double check the site) I guess they had other people filling in the day I went because a nurse practitioner mentioned that while seeing me. She didn't really believe my symptoms because she stated "I'm too old to be catching that" which I had to tell her it's not true because when season is changing I get sick due to the weather. I know my body even though I do all of the preventative things I still tend to not feel well for few days. I felt disrespected that she made that remark and I don't think I'd like to visit this location again. I'm grateful for the first nurse who helped me & took my vitals, she was great & made me feel comfortable.

The staff here, specifically the old lady receptionist is absolutely terrible and rude. She doesn't listen and has a very passive aggressive attitude.She needs a lesson in customer service or just kindness in general. She brings the entire office staff down and should either be retrained or let go.I will say Dr. Craig is amazing. I wish i could leave a review just for him. He's kind and attentive and really listens. I'd return for him!
