Underwater Oahu

They were super flexible to work with us and scheduled a snorkel for our kids at the same location we were able to dive. The kids loved it and we got to a great dive and super easy logistics. Really appreciated their flexibility to work with us. Both the snorkel and the dive were private so we could maximize our time without having to leave the kids behind!

The weather was perfect with a pretty strong surge during the second dive. We couldn't have asked for a better crew. AJ was a great dive master and worked his tail off in ensuring our equipment was safe and we had a great experience. He explained everything thoroughly. Our boat captain was a hoot too! We dived with a group of six so that was perfect. We stayed in Ko Olina so we liked the fact that we didn't have to drive into Honolulu. Mike has a great crew and we will definitely dive with this group again!

Amazing. If you want an authentic, fun, and safe experience open water diving, Underwater Oahu is the way to go. We came out for an introductory dive. We did two different dives with Mike. The first was a wreckage, the second was a reef. Mike was professional and gave a brief over view of the equipment. He stayed by our sides the entire time and let us dive at our own pace. The dive was so much fun that we came back for our open ocean certification. We signed up and were assigned Bart as our Instructor! We spent the first lesson in his pool where he went over several different exercises. Then we did 2 walk in dives at Electric beach. The last day of the course we did two dives in open ocean. Bart was professional, knowledgable, and encouraging. He repeated exercises until my husband and I were comfortable with performing them. He took us through a cavern tunnel, and showed us octopuses, turtles, and various other marine life. I left his class feeling confident in my abilities as a diver and excited to continue my diving adventures! We saw something cool and new on all 6 dives, and we heard Whales while at electric beach then saw them the next day. Underwater Oahu is military friendly. All of their employees are professional and SME in Diving. It's an authentic diving experience.

We were SDI referral divers from the Midwest wanting to complete our open water certification dives on vacation. Mike was FANTASTIC! Very patient, informative and fun. Even reviewed some skills we didn't, or couldn't try out during our pool sessions. We even saw sea turtles and dolphins at the site he chose. Couldn't have been a better experience.

I cannot recommend this place more. Bart is really patient, responsible and knowledgeable. he taught us scuba diving and helped us to earn the open water certificate in a short time. I am extremely happy about this experience and it is really fun!

Mike and the staff at Underwater Oahu are the best. He strikes the perfect balance of maintaining an "island chill" vibe while running an elite diving operation with safety at top of mind. I was nervous because it was my 11 and 13 yo daughters first post certification dive. Mike showed up with an escort diver that was great with kids and also a marine biologist. Are you kidding me? We had two great dives that kicked off my kids' diving career great. The rental equipment selection was a breeze. The normal challenges of any dive trip were handled with grace. We got in the water with a strong current but there were ropes on the surface to go down easily, and Mike navigated the group at the bottom expertly. Then there were the awesome turtles, octopus, eels, swim through rock formations, etc. It was an all around perfect diving experience. We'll be back.

Mike and AJ were great! Made a last minute reservation and they accommodated us and helped give my wife a refresher. Great fun- safe - easy to deal with.

They are local, friendly and did a great Job...They worked with me to get as many dives as possible in the one day I had available! 2 tank boat dive and a one tank shore dive. They were all beautiful and amazing. I love underwater geography. At Makaha we did tunnels, and arches that were super fun! All day we searched for a shark..on our last dive we finally encountered a 8-10 ft shark...the Dive Master and I were pretty excited. I will Dive with them next time for sure! THANKS

Thank you Doug for getting me on the right track. Mr. Doug took the time to make sure that everything that I purchased was right for me, fit and finish wise. I am impressed that he was not just pushing me out the door with gear that wasn't quite right for me as has happened at other stores. Also recommended some spots to use my new gear at. Prices are really nice as well compared to some other spots I've been too. If you are up this way I would give this place your money as opposed to the more touristy areas.

My daughter and I had a great dive at Electric Beach with Matt from Underwater Oahu. We arrived on schedule and he was there waiting for us. He gave a thorough review of our dive plan, explained the potential hazards in the area area and gave a good overview of our dive. He was a great dive master.
