Do not let the exterior of this 'hidden gem' discourage you. It is located on the ground level... the awkward entrance to parking, the many pillars and tight turns make it a navigational chore, just to park. On the positive side, there is sufficient parking, fairly well lighted, and I believe I saw a security guard patrolling the parking area.Upon entering, you come into a completely different world, clean, spacious, well lighted, ample seating, and room to socialize and dance the night away.Despite the staff shortage, the multi-tasking friendly, smiling, professional staff worked diligently to ensure everyone was served in a timely manner.The beverage prices are reasonably priced. The food menu though abbreviated were also reasonably priced. We ordered Steak & Onions, Fried Rice, Steamed Fish, Chicken Wings ... guaranty broke the mouth delicious. The garlic shrimp seemed very tempting... but our table had too many GOUT sensitive persons.The karaoke sound system and monitors were of excellent quality. And playing of songs orders were fair and efficient.Tonight's clientele, had some very awesome talent and voices ... though competitive, everyone was very supportive and encouraging to ALL SINGERS.I ask everyone to come checkout this really awesome hole in the wall... you will definitely make this your group's Karaoke hangout.

What makes a dive bar worth visiting? Their food!Uncle Troy's Bar and Grill is under new management. They are located on the bottom floor of 803 Kam Hwy..... yes there are a lot of bars, Korean bars and karaoke bars in the area .... However,I think Uncle Troy's Bar & Grill has the best bar food and they have karaoke!!LOCATION: bottom or basement level of 803 Kam Hwy. Underneath the old flamingos.... Street side of the building and ocean side of Kam Hwy.PARKING: Lots of free parking around and in front. All of these bars have really good surveillance cameras. I feel pretty safe parking here.SERVICE: the staff here are welcoming. I feel like this is a bar I can call home. The second time I came here, they remembered me and welcomed me back! The patrons here are of all kinds.... blue collar worker, out of islanders and new residents from the mainland. I love the mix here.FOOD: First time I ate here I was pretty inebriated and thought the food was delicious. Second time I came here, I was sober.... And the food was just as delicious as I remembered. Their crinkle cut fries are fried to perfection... noodles were delicious and their ribeye is bomb af. My second time here I came mainly for the food .......and drinks. It's definitely a cool joint to be at after a long hard day at work. Overall it's a cool hole in the wall type of joint. It ain't no 5 star restaurant but it's definitely a bomb ass joint to hang out at. Bringing more friends next time.

We ordered practically everything on the menu. Their steak was actually good just a bit salty, chow mein (whatever the noodle dish was) was pretty decent, mandoo was meh, Korean chicken was meh, garlic fries wasn't really garlicky, the mushroom pork we ordered didn't come with the mushrooms as listed and it was dry, but the garlic shrimp was very good. Their food absolutely did not reflect the price of 18-$25 a dish!!! It was a fun place, but MAN does it need updating. It's very dinky, and wouldn't recommend it for taking your parents or others with good taste, but the service was great! Very nice people. So, I'm sad to give this place a 3 star (would be much lower had it not been for the nice people) but I've been to many places and it's not up to par. Hope they get cracking with their standards of food and renovate their place because it has so much potential.

A true "hole in the wall" experience. I say that, respectfully! Local style ambiance with great food and decently priced drinks. Yes, the interior still carries over from the previous spot but the atmosphere is GREAT! I have been here a few times and each time we are greeted with a smile! The bartenders are amazing and always recommend their favorites ranging from food to drinks. They also have Karaoke. $1 a song. Just need to ask for the song book, pen and paper ... and you are good to go.This is going to be my new pau hana spot. Also, Uncle Troy, the owner, is actively in the bar and working the floor. Say hi to him next time and enjoy!

One bartender. No waitresses. Service was terrible. Bartender had an attitude and said "if people can't be patient, they can go somewhere else." Talked to the owner and he said she was his "ace". Almost 40 people in the bar and had to wait almost half hour for shots while standing at the well. NEXT. Won't be back there.

Great time at Uncle Troy's!!!!! Definitely will come back to this laid back bar with delicious food and ice cold drinks that keep coming!!!!

I recently visited Uncle Troy's during a layover in Honolulu and I must say that I had a wonderful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried noodles with spam, cocktails, and shots during my time. I also need to give huge shout out and thank you to Priscilla aka "Silla" because she was sweet, attentive, and provided the BEST customer service during my experience. Plus, they have karaoke! If I am ever in Honolulu again, I will be sure to visit Uncle Troy's. Thank you so much, Silla!

Cool place to drink! Environment is chill. Bartenders and servers are cool! Music is bumpin and they have karaoke! Their food is sooooooo good too! If you're looking for a place to chill, come check them out!

I wish I took more pictures of the food!! Such a chill place to have some hood pupus and cold beers. Super friendly staff and they adhere to all the Covid mandates. Perfect for pau Hana and lots of parking!
