Beyond underrated. A tiny lick of the garlic shrimp was so full of flavor! The steak was so buttery soft, it melted in my mouth. Thank Goodness Giovannis took cash only, otherwise we wouldn't have went off looking & found Uluwehi's that take card. Pictures don't do justice to flavor and I'm picky! -Garlic Shrimp plate-soft steak -Lili koi, guava, mango, pineapple smoothies

There aren't many places to eat in Kahuku so I'm always happy when a new one pops up. I've seen this truck parked by the gas station for a while now but only recently came by to check it out. You can park anywhere on the right side of the gas station since there is plenty parking all around. I went with the Teri burger and a side of fries. I have to say it was a disappointing. The price is cheap but I would like a bit more quality. The burger patty was the standard Mays brand (and I love Mays) with a squeeze of thousand island dressing in the middle and some iceburg lettuce/tomato slice on sesame bun. I feel like a few small changes could make these burgers wat better without too much cost. Maybe add some teri sauce to the patty after grilling so it isn't so dry? The amount of thousand island squirted into the middle was extremely minimal too. Toasting the buns on the griddle with a little butter makes even store bought buns so much better. I would suggest changing bun brands though as these are a bit too much bread compared to the amount of ingredients. Maybe change iceburg to leaf lettuce? Just a suggestion. I do have to say the fries were fried perfectly though and made to order based on the heat and freshness. Would definitely go back here just for fries and to try their other food.

Didn't really care for the food. Ordered a turkey bacon club and it wasn't really what I expected. One super thin slice of turkey lunch meat (that I almost never knew was in the sandwich), small piece of bacon and the lettuce and tomato was pretty much nonexistent. I basically ate just bread. Everyone's food orders took forever to come out too. Meh!The location and setup was cute but that's about it.

On a lazy Sunday morning we stumbled upon this food truck by the Kahuku Sugar Mill. Out of all the food trucks, we decided to eat at Uluwehi's. I liked the familiarity that it could've been my aunty cooking and my cousin taking my order. I ordered the kalua pig and cabbage which was tasty; however the five stars was for the lychee flavored kawa drink. The kawa was not too sweet nor did it taste like the traditional dirt, but it was just right. I would take the two hour drive to get another one.

Came here with my boyfriend the other day and this was the worst place I've been in a long time. First I wanna start by wondering how a place thinks $14 for 7-8 MEDIUM size shrimp with their heads on and some macaroni salad is ok. I ordered the pastele stew which is what the lady at the counter suggested. It came out and there was maybe 5 small pieces of meat in the whole thing, the rest was just a tomato greasy goo with a lot of black olives. I was suppose to get rice with my order too but instead just got a bunch of tasteless macaroni salad. I barely ate anything before I just threw the whole mess away. Do urself a favor and go elsewhere please

Average Hawaiian food on the north shore. Not great. Not bad. Nothing to go out of your way for. $10 for this meal in the picture.

I couldn't find them. I looked all over and I asked a bunch of the food trucks, and at the store and at Seven Brothers and at the beer garden. No one could direct me. No one knew who they were.

Thought I would stop for some classic Island Kava.I was disappointed to find that it was a mix as you order Kava done poorly. Only by the glass, no bowl available. It was mixed thin and weak. It was not the traditional Kava I had hoped for and expected. Not a good experience.

Today's is a Sunday and I'm rushing so I could something to eat before my long ride back home on OTS which was due in the area in ten minutes. I walk up to the first shrimp truck, kindly asked if they were closed, some foreign guys had the audacity to reply with"what you think"! Yes that was his exact words shocking, no he replied like mostly of his kind of people. Though I bet if I was Asian or touristy looking I wouldn't get that response. So good told him so and also said I'm never buying from your nasty truck and let others know since I'm here every week! This brings me to Uluwehi's. I walk up ask same questions if their still open the lady replies yes what would you like. I told her do you have steak and shrimp I can't see very well to read menu. She replies I can make you I believe she called it the suf and turf(I apologize if in correct) There is was a family before me. Though the Aloha they gave me along with smiles and greetings for the rest of the staff. She also had banana bread was that so wanted but was short on cash. Then knew I was just going to take a few bites to carry me over and was gonna to eat more at the bus stop. As stated going to-bus stop so I don't miss it a bag was provided. Got to bus stop just enough to get a few bites. Temperature of food on point, taste just as I like it this is most definite place for my return again. If you look ve shrilmp and streak check Uluwehi's in Kahuku!
