This is not a bakery, this is literally a lucite display case the size of medium Amazon box inside of a coffee shop. This shouldn't even be listed as a standalone business - they're simply a supplier of baked goods for a coffee shop.I spent $10 on Uber to drive here because I have Celiac disease and needed a gluten-free meal and saw this listed as a gluten-free bakery online.I called ahead and it went straight to voicemail so I figured they were busy with customers. I arrived and they had a single bag of a 6 pack of cookies and two "muffins" for sale. That's it. It was 1:30 PM, how are they already sold out? Even if it was full, 4 options - 1 type of bread, mini muffins, 1 type of cookie and 1 type of brownie is hardly a "bakery."The staff of the coffee shop, Pono Potions, went to "check the freezer" and said there was only the same cookies and muffins back there. The drinks you see in people's photos aren't even from this supplier, they're made by the coffee shop that they supply their baked goods to. Visited September 2024

I love this small business because they focus on using ulu and kalo in their baked goods. It is so healthy and delicious. No artificial ingredients. Vegan. Super friendly staff. Very clean.

When I learned that both Puerto Ricans and Hawaiians held a special place for breadfruit I went looking for a bakery. Before I even got a chance to their actual location, I stumbled upon Ulu and Kalo at the Farmers Market and was so pleased to stock up on snacks for the rest of my trip.

In love with 'Ulu & Kalo Bakery (and especially grateful for it being gluten and dairy-free myself)! :) Maile's banana ulu bread is BOMB and so moist too!! She is superb at mindfully choosing all of the ingredients she uses, which is much appreciated as someone who is a huge advocate of healthy eating, incorporating local food & mindful consumption.

Truely amazing Vegan Brownies. I grew up eating Ulu (bread fruit) and Kalo (taro) so it is great that Maile is giving this old flavor a new twist. Brownies is my favorite but she also has cookies and banana bread. Check her out at the the Blaisdell farmers market on Wed from 4-7pm or at the Made in Hawaii Food festival. Must try the Brownies.

With gluten-free and vegan options, Ulu and Kalo Bakery is my favorite go-to for healthy dessert!I usually pick up the kalo brownies from the blaisdell farmers market on wednesday evenings. Heat up those brownies in the micro for 12s and OMG amazingness. My un-healthy fatty fam eats em up too!My husband's favorite is the 'ulu mai'a bread. He puts butter on top- and (ok I'd prefer vegan butter...)- oh my!! Bomb. Dot. Com.They're at Made in Hawaii Festival too.Not just supporting local, but supporting the 'Aina- majestic ulu and traditional brother kalo.I don't mind spending a little extra to invest in my health AND 'Aina!

So grateful for the owner of ulu and Kalo to provide gluten free options! It's so hard to find yummy desserts that are health conscious. I love the choc chip cookies and the chocolate cake!!! I hope to find you at more farmers markets (like Kakaako on Saturdays) in the near future! I'm going to check out your website...need more of this in my life

Got the ulu banana bread. Not sure what type of sweetener they use but I did not like it. The consistency of the banana bread reminded me of play dough... too mushy for me. The top of the banana bread has some sort of glaze, I thought it made it too sweet. Personally, wouldn't buy again.
