The front of the store says CLIMB ALOHA. You are in the right place for Uloha. The entrance looks like a tiny store, but once you go in, it is a huge store with super tall ceilings. Climbing wall in back to try out climbing shoes. Like most small businesses on the island, they have very knowledgeable staff that help you with aloha. The best place for hiking shoes and climbing gear if you want to avoid the big brand stores at the mall. The gear is priced right and their exchange policy is very reasonable for a small business. You have 30 days and you can get something else. They cannot survive as a business if they allowed refunds because tourists would buy gear, go hike or climb with it during their visit, and returned it afterwards. That would be a rental business! That's not what this store is. Same neighborhood as Hi Climb gym too! So convenient. SHOP SMALL! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES so they stay in business and the big companies don't have a monopoly limiting the customer's options.

These boots were made for hiking and that's what I'm gonna do :)Thank goodness I saw Gregory at a pop up/event and he actually had my shoe size in a color and style that suits me. I was able to try on the pair, walk around in them, and learn more about their group from him.I really put it to the test today. My new shoes took me over 8,000 steps! This high cut protected my ankles and the wide front made it very comfortable with hiking socks. I really appreciated the sturdy sole because my shoes had fantastic grip on the slopes.At the end of the hike, I was totally safe. No slipping or sliding :)The best part about my purchase, this group plants a tree for every shoe sold! Thanks everyone, I'm loving my new kicks!

They have a New name Climb Aloha! The best way to describe this store they have a good amount of your outdoor needs. Dried foods and serious outdoor door equipment. Now where they are located the best easiest to explain parking/direction they are across a small street from Patagonia. Climb Aloha has a small parking lot however stay away from lunch hour. Or park in Patagonia and carefully cross the street. Enjoy

Awesome store! Fully stocked with everything you need for getting out there! Specially my go-to store for jet boil stoves and isobutane gas! Staff are always friendly and super helpful. Glad to have and be able to shop at a LOCALLY OWNED & OPERATED store right here on Oahu! It's NOT a big box, corporately owned store. #SupportLocal

Picked up a new pair of hiking shoes today after being SO tired of getting blisters in my other shoes. I was skeptical of putting such an investment into a pair of shoes, but if you're like me and hesitant JUST DO IT! The staff at Uloha were able to help me narrow down what I needed in a matter of minutes, and I was able to get in & out within 20 minutes to go do my inaugural run with my new shoes. These were like walking on clouds! So comfortable and supportive! The grip on them was outstanding, and it gave me so much confidence on the very muddy trail. No more slipping! I chose the waterproof version, and this was worth it! Hiked through small streams with completely dry feet the entire time. Worth every penny!! Will definitely be returning here for more in the future!

Great little spot at the Ward area for outdoor gear. Everything they carried seemed consciously selected and the staff was very knowledgable and ready to assist, and educate regarding the the products. Definitely gonna be our go-to for outdoor goods when on Oahu.

Needed a pair of emergency hiking shoes for my trip to the island, the ones I brought got bodied on my first hike. Good selection of products, friendly and knowledgeable staff, awesome customer service, reasonable prices. Would recommend this place if you in a tight spot and needed gear for your hikes. Don't forget to ask about the military discount.

This place is the worst, anything you buy and for some reason it doesn't work out. They won't give your money back only a in store credit. You only have 30 days to bring back what you are returning only to get a in store credit. If after you just paid for something then change your mind, they will not refund anything, they just trap you with a in store gift card which is insane. They try to push you into buying a lot more than you wanted and they watch you like a hawk shopping. They have been horrible to me and I have to say something about what they truly do as a business and not to shop there again.

Good and knowledgeable assistance to select a good pair of hiking boots for my hard-to-fit, narrow, flat, low volume feet. The Hoka boots are amazingly comfortable.

By far the best place on Oahu to get all of your camping gear. It is really expensive, but if you're looking for high quality gear they sell only the best. The atmosphere and people are welcoming.
