Went for Valentine's Day dinner, and the food, drinks, and service were stellar! The Prime Rib special was killer! The ambiance was 10/10 also, and we were happy to see many other couples celebrating Valentine's there also. Highly recommended for any occasion

We have eaten here 3 times in the past 6 weeks. Locals seem to like it and bring their families here for casual dinner. It's one of our more frequent "go to" restaurants -not fast food. They recently decided to be closed on Sundays. Food: The menu has a good variety of food choices -from Prime rib to fish curry to duck to vegetarian. Our group has enjoyed almost everything on the menu, even the lunch sandwiches. Be careful how you order the beef dishes -you might want to order a little less well done than your usual-they seem to be served more well done than we ask. Red curry fish is a favorite of some in our group. They used to offer a great papaya salad as a side, but now the only dish that has papaya salad is the red curry fish. The other sides are sort of standard and more bland, in my opinion. Bar has nice creative drinks. Service is always pleasant, although sometimes they seem short-handed during the week. Facility -nice indoor and covered outdoor seating. Clean and neat facility. Street parking or nearby garage.

Food is eh, but the service, drinks, and vibes are great! Located in Kailua, I recently came in for a lunch with my Pilates pals. This spot is great for groups, it was super convenient to make an online reservation and it's great that they automatically split the bill for each person and added an 18% gratuity. I really appreciated that they kept every order so organized. The parking is not as convenient but there are a few paid street parking spots up front and a few public paid lots a short walk away. We were celebrating so we each had a few drinks. I started with their strawberry mango marg and was obsessed that they had half the rim lined with tajin and the other half with li hing mui! We also had a celebratory glass of bubbly - we love a fun toast!I ordered the seared ahi with ginger scallion and with most entrees you're able to choose from white rice, brown rice, and another choice of sides like korean sprout salad, kimchi, and mac salad. I went with their brown rice and korean sprout salad. The sides are where it really fell short for me, both had a kinda mushy acidic taste. I tried a few bites of the spicy ahi poke and pork (kalua pig) combo and the fish curry and overall it was okay- no dish really stood out flavor wise and the textures kinda all read mushy. I would come again for drinks and pupus!

#26 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week)Stopped here after spending some time at Kailua beach on a Sunday. We opted to sit outside. My best friend was visiting so she and my honey started off with some drinks. I was dd so just water for me!It took me forever to decide on what I wanted to eat. On one hand I wanted something light but everything heavy sounded so good too. I opted for their version of bibimbap. My honey got a breakfast sandwich with potatoes and my friend got the kalua pork and kale. Food came relatively quickly. I really enjoyed my bibimbap. It had rice, beef, kimchi, cucumbers, eggs and a couple other veggies in it. Mixed together it was the perfect bite. My friend didn't realize her pork and kale came on rice as she chose rice as her side for her meal. My honey liked his food ok. It was good but nothing we'd hurry back for. If we're in the area we may give it another try.

Best red curry fish on the island ! Fish tonight was Ahi. Served on garlic mashed potatoes (upgrade) with green papaya salad. Got it extra spicy.. wow. Also ordered garlic shrimp entree on white rice. Although shrimp were good sized and fresh, they lacked a sauce. Asked for a side of garlic chicken sauce, which really kicked up the dish. Will definitely need to try the garlic chicken entree on our next visit.

Upon walking in, the restaurant is very clean, and has a great set up / art work around. My server & the bartender helped me with all questions I had about the food / drinks and were very sweet. They provided me great service and had excellent food. I was impressed. I only have a couple days left here and definitely plan on making it one more time before leaving.

Aloha, after our art session we stopped in for lunch. Nice ambiance as open air. Food was fresh and satisfying. Fun coming to Kailua with girlfriends, nice change of pace. I forget how much I enjoy Kailua, almost felt like I was on the outer islands. Only complaint is the strong smell of the spray they use to clean tables. Cleaner sprays all over, she should just spray the cloth then wipe the table to minimize odor. Mahalo

Decided to try this once again as my memories of when they first opened sit on my mind. Unfortunately, food is not how I remembered it. Their special creamy mushroom chicken was not so good. The sauce was anything BUT creamy and it was pictured as a white sauce but came served as a dark brown sauce. It also had a sour taste to it like it had some vinegar in the gravy. The mochiko chicken really was fried chicken with some kind of sauce that didn't taste so good. The Korean steak melt sandwich was the best item but even that was just meh. I'm so sad that this restaurant doesn't seem to be putting out the same quality of food that it did when it first started many years ago! While I want to support local and keep restaurants in Kailua, I'd like the food to at least make me happy. This was not the experience I got.

After our excursion to Kailua, we were on the hunt for lunch. Per Li Y's suggestion, we came to Uahi Island Grill! It was a great option to kick back, eat, and talk story. The restaurant embodies a local spot with a spacious inside area, beach decor, and a relaxed vibe to it. There's also outdoor seating. Plenty of seating for both spots for all party sizes. Service was slammed but we were helped throughout our meal and our food came out fast.We shared Furikake Calamari as our appetizer which came with a sweet spicy sriracha sauce. It was good but I couldn't taste any furikake which I was excited about. To order, I had the Kalua Pork and Kale while she got the Orange Duck Confit. The portions were quite large and I had half of mine. The kalua pig was super tender and juicy. The kale was great and honestly tops the typical cabbage. My only wish was that there was more kale! You could choose two sides, I went with White Rice and Mac Salad. I'd pass on the mac salad as it was too creamy while the white rice was just too much. There are plenty of eateries in Kailua but if you're looking for a laid-back spot for any meal, Uahi Island Grill is a good option. They're situated off Aulike Street with parking in the neighborhood, we parked in the public lot across the street.

We come here every week on Wednesday because we love, love, LOVE the food and the service! We love the calamari. It's delicious and always very fresh! We love ALL of the servers, but our favorite is Kalokahi!! He's the best! Our favorite dish is the poke trio with brown rice. Their local dishes with kimchee are excellent too. The kimchee is house-made and it's always very fresh. Whenever someone asks me for a great place to eat in Kailua, we always recommend Uahi Grill!!
