Running some errands all by my lonesome today in Kailua and was craving a hearty, diner style breakfast and so glad I showed up here, with little to no energy, needing some stick to the ribs sorta food.Restaurant was packed on a Sunday morning, and I contemplated not waiting since I was only by myself, but glad I stuck around.Put my name behind a table of 4, in roughly 4 minutes I was called and offered a table. This place needs to be rated higher. The service is 10/10, ambiance is retro, diner style with easy going reggae and it's exactly what I needed today. An everything omelette that was perfect, fried rice that was super ono and filled with meat and toast, that was nicely buttered, this place gave me energy for the rest of the day.Big respect to all the staff for making this restaurant what it is, thanks for keeping it a local staple. Will be back to support for sure.

Came here for breakfast with my husband and mother in law. There was a bit of a wait which is normal because they can get really busy and it's a small place. I ordered the special which was the roast beef loco moco. You could tell they were trying to use up the leftovers because the meat tasted old and tough. Next time I'll stick to the classic breakfast. I've been here many times before. Food is just average. Service is top notch though. The servers are always attentive and friendly.

Another great breakfast at this old time coffee shop! The food is simple & good & service 5 stars!Always filling out water & coffee and making sure we didn't need anything! Totally love the people here. Lots of parking and friendly service and plenty of food so you leave full.My eggs were cooked perfectly and I love the Portuguese they serve just a bit of spice & good flavor Hamburger steak w/ onions & gravy is so good / upgraded to fried rice which was a bit ion the sweet side but still yummy

Cute little local coffee and breakfast shop nestled in the back of Kailua. Chocolate chip pancakes are enormous and my kids could have honestly split a single pancake. They are known for their fried rice which is delicious. The parking is small and usually full as the restaurant is always busy. There is street parking too. Servers are attentive and quick but it's so busy in the restaurant that sometimes things are forgotten. Overall, cute little breakfast spot.

Update: 9/29/23Times Coffee Shop is a cozy local eatery in Kailua. The ambiance is very casual local style. Times serves great breakfast at a affordable price point. The service is consistently good. Our server filled our coffee cups frequently.Loco moco roast pork over fried rice - 4/5A variance from the usual hamburger patty and white rice. The gravy was very tasty, but slightly on the salty side. The fried rice gave the dish added flavor, but I still prefer white rice over fried rice. From my perspective, the brown gravy and fried rice was a mismatch. Overall, the roast pork is good variation of the traditional loco moco. That being said, I'm glad that I tried it.Ham & Eggs - 4/5You get a generous portion of ham and perfectly cooked over easy eggs. The ham was on the dry side, but good. Pork sausage & eggs - 4/5The pork sausage is tasty, but slightly overcooked (see pic). The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy.Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice 4/5The eggs were cooked over easy, but slightly cooked longer than I prefer. There was soft runny yolk and a small foundation of solid egg yolk around the bottom and edges. The Portuguese sausage was delicious, but cooked longer than I world have, Still good though.Times Coffee Shop is a great place to have breakfast. I've eaten at times ever since the original location was on Oneawa St. I highly recommend giving Times Coffee Shop a visit for a great breakfast and fast and friendly service.

Worse service ever (11-22-24). We got the impression we were bothering the two out front. No menus, no questions, we had to call one over to give our order, and she forgot our coffee. Fried rice was still half white rice. Lots of better breakfast places in Kailua. We are not coming back. Thank your cashier and server.

It really doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in it has this small town, everyone knows everyone and have been coming here for 20 years kind of place. We just stepped b/c the wife and I wanted some coffee. Coffee ended up being quite tasty, no complaints. I just got regular coffee. My wife got some macadamia one and she said it tasted burnt but I couldn't taste it when I tried it. I did like mine better though. Up on the board was a bagel and cream cheese for $3.95. Growing up in NY, I'm a sucker for a bagel and I was a little hungry anyways so I pulled the trigger. I got a sesame seed, one of my favorites, toasted. I thought they would put the cream cheese on but instead it came in a little plastic container. I enjoyed my bagel. Inside is nothing to write home about but it had a small town charm to it. Like they hadn't updated anything in decades but they took good care of the place. It really felt like we were somewhere else, not Hawaii. The server/cashier was so nice and pleasant. They were pretty quick with our coffees and my bagel. We definitely marked this spot down for the next time we do our bimonthly around the island drive. Oh yeah, 20lb bags of ice for $4 is another plus. Great spot to stop when en route to N Shore camping.

A heart attack waiting to happen. Suprised at how unhealthy it was and not really all that good. If you're going to eat things bad for you, they should be delicious.
