The best burrito and out of a food truck! Service is good they are fast and efficient. Behind Wholefoods Kakaako but parking is tuff. This place gets busy, so it's wise to phone your order in prior. So far my favorite burrito in Hawaii. Very comparable to ones I've had in San Francisco!

This is my favorite stop through taco truck in a Kaka'ako! If you call ahead they are always ready with your order super quickly. It's a small truck on Queen and not much parking nearby, so plan ahead if you can and save some time by ordering via phone on your way. First off I've never been dissatisfied with anything I've had here and it was one of the first trucks that reminded me of the ones I went to when I was younger on my way home from work in Oregon. Small perfectly executed menu of exactly what you would expect plus barbacoa, which if you eat meat you gotta try!! They recently added some more options for all their items with a jackfruit meat replacement, which I will update you all on as soon as I taste it because I will definitely be back! They have a cute little bench spot that you can wait at or eat at but the beach park is also only a block or two away with plenty of parking and lots of places to stop with your order.

Thyda's Tacos is a small, hidden food truck tucked on the side of Queen Street, right across from the Whole Foods parking lot. It's a small setup, but there are a few benches where you can sit while waiting for your food.I got the asada quesadillas ($12), and they were pretty good. So warm, filling, and super cheesy--which I love--but I'd knock off 1 star because it's a bit pricey for the portion size. There's a little station by the truck window with sauces you can help yourself to, along with small cups and lids to take them with you since this is a grab-and-go spot. I especially loved the green sauce. I'm not sure if it's store-bought or homemade, but it was delicious and gave the quesadillas an extra kick of flavor.I'd come back to try more, but the pricing might hold me back a bit. That said, I did notice their tacos are half-priced on Tuesdays, so that's worth checking out if you're looking for a deal!

This place is situated next to Whole Foods downtown. They have great prices for taco Tuesday $2/2.50 per taco. I was drawn in by their delicious tacos and several different homemade salsas. I got their lengua and Barbacoa tacos. They were tender, moist and flavorful. The salsas were very good, and the corn tortillas were tasty as well. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Tried their barbacoa burrito and it was amazing! Grab a green and red salsa and pour on every bite - you won't regret it.

Came here for Taco Tuesday which are essentially half priced tacos ($2-2.50 each). Honestly pretty unimpressed overall. The vibe was cool and the guys all had a smile on their faces. It's a food truck nestled in a corner by a mechanic workshop building. If you are driving, the best thing may be to just park in the Whole Foods parking deck across the street and walk over. We purchased four tacos. When we got home, I pulled out the Pollo first and man... talk about weak sauce. Two tortillas with some very small portions of chicken. We also ordered the Lengua, Jackfruit, and Asada. The Lengua was probably the best, but we also covered it with sauce. The Jackfruit was unique but didn't blow me away. The Asada was pretty much standard. Came with all the toppings you'd expect... radishes, pickled carrots, grilled onions. This would've been a 2-3 star in our opinion... but the sauces brought it up to a 3. They were pretty good, especially the green sauce. Not sure if they are store bought or homemade, but they were delicious and spicy. If you come here, the rice bowls and burritos looked better than what we got.TLDR:Four tacos..Pollo (1/5 stars)Asada (2/5 stars)Jackfruit (2/5 stars)Lengua (3/5 stars).Mostly cheap and ok value, but don't expect much on the proteins. Sauces are the best part.

Thydas is consistent and good. Lengua enjoyers rejoice, they will put lengua on anything! The quesadillas and burritos are both good with a decent amount of meat. Self serve salsa too. Worth a try if you haven't been.

Thydas Tacos is a must-visit for Tex-Mex enthusiasts in Kaka'ako! Nestled on Queen Street, this walk-up food truck is a hidden gem serving up mouthwatering delights that will tantalize your taste buds. Pronounced "tee-dahs tah-koes," Thydas Tacos offers a variety of customizable options, ensuring that every order is exactly what you crave.I recently stopped by and opted for the lengua burrito, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! Wrapped in a generous 12-inch flour tortilla, the burrito was loaded with tender lengua (beef tongue), rice, beans, cheese, onion, sour cream, pico de gallo, cilantro, and, of course, I couldn't resist adding guacamole for that extra creamy goodness. But that's not all--I also tried the lengua rice bowl, which took the flavors to a whole new level. With all the same delicious ingredients as the burrito, but with the cheese melted into a cheesy skirt atop the bowl, every bite was a symphony of savory goodness. Not only is the food at Thydas Tacos incredibly flavorful, but it's also reasonably priced, making it the perfect spot for a quick and delicious meal. However, keep in mind that parking can be a challenge, so it's best enjoyed on the go. Whether you're strolling through the area or seeking a satisfying meal, Thydas Tacos is a must-visit destination for Tex-Mex lovers.

The food here is always so good. I really love their carne asada burritos. Their tacos are also really good, pricey but good. Best day to go for tacos is Taco Tuesday, I'm pretty sure they are half off. The service is good here, they are quick and to the point. The place is really cool. They have stickers all over the walls.

Vegetarians beware.I ordered a pollo (chicken) burrito for myself and a jackfruit burrito for my partner. The burritos arrived wrapped in foil, labeled "pollo" and "JF."I got a head start and ate about a quarter of what I thought was my pollo burrito, only to realize there was no chicken. Turns out, the burritos were mislabeled! Luckily, I caught the mistake before my partner took a bite--had it been the other way around, they would have unknowingly eaten chicken. A small but important mix-up that could have been a bigger issue for someone with dietary restrictions.Sucks my partner was down a quarter of his burrito that I ate!
