Beautiful beach with great food near by. Highly recommend stopping here for a day of snorkeling.

This Is a special place for my family and I. My mom grew up coming here daily after school and so I grew up often coming here after school or on weekends. It's a beautiful place filled with lots of memories and good times. Parking can be a challenge now that's it's popular but totally worth it. My mom and I often pick up our favorite take out or bring fried chicken and musubis and enjoy the sunset here. Don't mind the roosters and definitely remember to bring your sunscreen and snorkels. Lots of great sea life and fish to enjoy admiring from afar while swimming near the coral. Be respectful and don't damage the reef and pick up after yourself on the beach. Don't leave anything behind. The last two visits I noticed way more tourists than locals and it saddened and angered me when they left their trash on the sand! Wtf... this is another reason why locals are not a fan of sharing reviews of local spots because some don't appreciate the beautiful place that's our home. My mom and I picked up after the tourists. This a sacred and special place to Hawaiians and locals. Please visit and be mindful of that.

GREAT food from a food truck on the side of the road at the North shore. Imagine my shock when I see a food truck with Shrimp, fish, steak, tofu and eggplant plates all served with rice (white or brown) - black beans (DELICIOUS and flavorful) and salad (my hubby also had macaroni salad). OMG - we can both easily order at this place and be happy! My husband ordered the tofu veggie stir fry (2 scoop / 1 mac - meaning 2 scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad), I had the steak with onions, one scoop of brown rice, salad and DELICIOUS black beans. SOO GOOD. The black beans rocked, they are Brazilian style with cilantro and spices. These guys have it down.

I wish I could give it a three and a half. This is a good place to snorkel and there are food and shops just down the road. It was very crowded, and if there's a crowd I'd rather go to sharks cove which is closer to the food trucks. Fun place to see lots of fish, wish I would've seen some turtles tho!

Nice summer snorkeling spot. Be careful not to leave items in your car or unattended.

I loved this beach. It's pretty small and cozy, the sand is nice and there was good snorkeling. Parking is limited, but we pulled in an managed to find a spot right away. This was one of my favorite beach experiences on the island and I will definitely go back next time I am there.

One of my favorite beaches on the North Shore. Great for snorkeling. Nice shade trees if you don't want to spend the day in the sun.

Delicious! A full plate of great food. Fresh fish, hearty garlic mashed potatoes, black beans, salad (try the papaya dressing-yum!), brown or white rice--all to savor and all for a great price. And fantastic tofu dishes to boot. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Great food! I had the grill chicken and my wife had the tofu both were excellent. Glad we stopped after spending the day at the beach.

Food was surprising delicious . All entrees came with a gret salad and a black bean soup . Quality was great
