175 N. Hotel Street, Honolulu, Hawaii in Chinatown...This is the new location of Three Princesses Fruit (produce store).I saw Andy's review, but I couldn't find the store because it had moved. Luckily, a stranger saw me looking at the sign at the old location and pointed towards the other end of Hotel Street, near River Street.I found it!There was peppy music playing and lots of customers, grabbing fresh veggies and standing innlune to pay. Mandy, the store owner, recognized me from her previous business and pointed out various specials. I got some Chinese peas and garlic to make a stir-fry. Stop by if you need some oong choi, eggplant, pumpkin, etc.!

A new grocery store opened up in Chinatown, and as the name implies, owned and operated by three princesses! This store is located along Hotel Street, right next to Pho Vietnam, near Smith St. Open daily at about 7-7:30am, and close at 2pm.The first thing noticeable was how fresh all the vegetables were! From the scallions to the A-Choy/Taiwanese Lettuce to the Baby Choy Sum to the carrots, and etc.Everything was in boxes or crates, so you can pick and choose, versus pick and choose from prepackaged bags. The prices were on post it notes on or in the box. I find this quite efficient! The prices on the post its had a higher and a lower prices. We were told the higher price is the regular price and the lower is the membership price. This is definitely a first for Chinatown! So what's the membership? Basically, it's $10 for the membership card. You show it when checking out for the lower price on qualifying items. New members also receive 7 boxes of napkins or 10 rolls of toilet paper for free. The inside of the store is a little small, but enough space to shop around, and the items are all spaced out evenly and easy to see.Overall, this was a good store to shop in. The vegetables were fresh and priced right. The 3 princesses were a delight! All were super friendly and nice, and unique in their own way. The location is very convenient as it's the closest to Downtown, and it's clean and spacious in and outside as it's not super crowded near bus stops, or next to other stores who have loads of stuff outside to the sidewalk.
