The T-Shirt Store

Our friend had a request for specific t-shirts from Hawaii when we come over for our annual visits. We've never seen these designs at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and since we were there the day before, we did check but no luck.We went to the store at Colburn St. but the signage was not in front on the building as the store did not appear to be there anymore. I called the number and the lady said they had moved to 944 Akepo Lane, but she is currently away from the store and would be back in 30 minutes.The store was about five minutes away located in a similar warehouse building with parking in front. In about 15 minutes, the owner drove up with more shirts in the vehicle and she opened up the store. This location appears smaller, but the inventory was a little organized. T-shirts were folded and stacked on the perimeter and long sleeved were on racks. They also had kids clothing and dresses.I asked if she had current and past Chinese zodiac design t-shirts in x-large. She went to the section and pulled out all the ones she had since they were old designs. Prices ranged from $4 each to 3 for $10 to 4 for $20. After Face Timing my friend, we decided on the shirts he wanted. So we ended getting 5 vintage designs and 2 current design shirts for a total of $47. What selection!! They have moved to 944 Akepo Lane just off Dillingham Blvd. Owner Sophia was very helpful and prices are better than anywhere other than swap meet.

Always stop at this place when we visit Oahu. Although their warehouse is packed to the gills, we always find something different here than at the swap meet or in stores. This last time we found a nice Hawaii baseball hat that was unique, and long sleeved t-shirts with a pocket. So hard to find t-shirts with pockets anywhere... Oh and great prices, too!!

This is a hidden gem before town. Go here for great gifts, less walking than the swap meet, and help from the owners. We bought more shirts than we wanted to....but we're happy.Not too much parking, but no worry...just go.Just don't make fun of anything.

For those of you who are looking for Hawaii shirt goodies to give away to family and friends who's not from here, this is the place to go for cheap deals especially for those who live around the area and don't want to drive all the way to Aloha Stadium and walk around in the scorching hot sun. Always passed by this place whenever I'm in the area but never did check it out. But since my family member were looking for cheap shirts that says anything dealing with Hawaii, I decided to check it out because I was not in the mood to make my way to the Swap Meet just for shirts and since this place is only a few minutes a way from home, decided to see what they had to offer.There's parking right in front of the store. I went around noon and there were open parking spaces available. It wasn't so busy on a Saturday so I assume not too many people go to this place unless they know about it. This place is actually a warehouse filled with lots of clothing of all sorts especially Hawaii/Hawaiian designs. Exactly what you would find at the Swap Meet. The best deals were buy 8 shirts for only $20 and tanks were $4 for $20. These were the deals I were looking for to ship to my relatives. Found some Hawaii towels at the price of $3 for $20. So this would probably be a place I would go to if I don't want to go to Swap Meet and pay the entrance fee as well as walk around in the sun. Although it is a warehouse, there is no air conditioning inside so expect that it'll be hot inside. It is organized like a swap meet where its in sizes and theres signs that tell you which designs that will cost more than others. There's also variety selection of kids sizes as well. Some signs says cash only but not too sure how their policy works on when you can use credit cards. I bought $70 worth so I was able to use a credit card. It's worth a shot for those who are looking for CHEAP HAWAII SHIRTS! Anything that says Hawaii, tourists will love.

Get da kine local faddah, maddah, or sum oddah 'ohana (family member) who no mind rockin' anykine UH, Hawaiian Style, or Ikaika Warrior helmet t-shirt or tank top? Like fine cheap gift fo' da kanaka/blahla/tita/moke in yo' life dat get enough Hawaiian bracelets, Ainokea stickers, and Hawaiian flags in da hale?If you like avoid swap meet, den you come hea!It's a literal warehouse full of da kine t-shirts/tanks dat you find at swap meet ... only teeng is dat dis place is situated in town. Dey carry all kine sizes from small to XL/XXL/XXL for a huge soles/mokes in yo' life. Small selection of UH football designs, choke designs w/all kine Hawaiian/local slang, some pakalolo (weed) designs, and a smaller selection of tops and dresses for da wahines (girls/women). For some odd reason, dey also have little Chinese silk-style outfits fo' da babies ... I dunno da name, but da kine traditional-style outfit dat babies wear for take photos or for a birthday or some special occasion.Thomas & Sophia Wong - FOBs from China? Or, was it Hong Kong? Next time I go wala'au (talk stories) w/him, I go determine which country it is. Older Asian couple who are very enterprising (eh, how much people you know own der own business dat stay open 7 days a week?), akamai, and are blunt, straight to da point, but helpful and accommodating. A hanai (adopted) aunty & longtime childhood friend came hea from da Big Island & aunty's bf from Nanakuli was telling her about dis place. So, here I am, live on O'ahu fo' ovah 10 years & I had one Big Island resident tell me about dis place! Go figgah, eh?While we were dea, another old FOB Flip couple (tata-san and his wife) came in looking for shirts. Seems like longtime local residents knew about dis place, and had one FOB Japanee motorcycle guy come in looking for a particular design.Had good deals like 4-5 t-shirts for $20 (any kine sizes) and da selection was pretty good. Sophia knows wat sizes & wat designs get, so defer to her if you get any ?'s. Thomas is real good fo' talk stories, especially about local politics. Mind you, get thick pake accent & English is his second language, so might be a lil' hahd kine fo' understand, but da man is VERY akamai. I was engaged in a 15-20 minute conversation w/him about local politics, Abercrombie being voted in as governor, the Obamacare reform, etc. My aunty & frend walk out w/cheap gifts, I discover a cheap spot for t-shirt goodies fo' my local peepuhlz & allz is good in da worldz.PAKE-ING (Parking)- In front of da store, dea's a limited number of parking stalls.

Nice selection, plenty of parking, and workers are very helpful. They can provide you with an inventory list to help you decide what you want. Shirt samples are available for most if not all of what they carry and are well organized by brand so easy to browse and feel the quality.
